I graduated that program in 2019, same degree. Today I work as an IT Business Analyst making good money. It was totally worth it
was it difficult?
If you don’t mind me asking how much are you making?
What learning track did you join?
Nationwide average for that job is 96k a year or $46 a hour 😮💨 (he’s definitely making more with + benefits)
I’m really glad I found this video. I have known about year up since last year mid July. But I thought I’d give school a try again since I was transferring after taking a year off. However I find it that school still hasn’t been working out for me more or so due to things outside of my control from my previous community college. It’s been a real slump lol but hearing your experience has given me some kind of hope and has convinced me to sign up after I’m done with this semester of my junior year ( hopefully I don’t do too bad lol). I hope when I get into year up, I also meet like minded people that I end up befriending. Would love to see an update video! Best wishes to you and your future man!
looking forward to the update. very insightful video!! happy for this path
Here you go

You the 🐐 year up changed my life
I'm currently in the Yearup program in AZ and I'm on week 9 so far I believe everyone should try it out!
I’m thinking of joining can you give me a little bit of insight?
Make sure you don’t get fired. Believe me, it’s totally worth it. I completed it in 2019 and now I work at a nice company making good money
How’s it going? I’m thinking about joining but idk I’m hesitant
How long did it take them to respond to your application?
@@davae71234 they contacted me within like two days
Will, I enjoyed watching this! You’ve gained a new follower! Proud of you- this is your former ISM, Mrs. Smith 😊
Thank you so much for sharing!
I just got accepted, and you have me so excited to get started!❤
Glad I could help
My interview is tomorrow, found this video really helpful :3 Hope i get in c:
Did you?
This was really reassuring. I’m about to drop out of college again, and I’m looking to apply to Year Up. I’m now looking forward to meeting like minded individuals once I get in. Idk where you’re at right now, but I know you’re busy. Come back once you’re ready to make more content! Stay blessed bro.
It’s warms my heart to know I could help here’s and update

Nice video King
Nice video! Can you please update us soon, I’m very interested.
Any updates on the program great video !
Nice Video, Year Up is a great and exciting program. Currently, I am a future alum and still an intern at Harvard University in Massachusetts.
Hey I’m currently in MA, but don’t live in Boston .. any tips to how I could get into the city for cheap or find a way around that ?
NYC Class 23! Year Up was a great experience. Not for everyone but it really does open doors if you put in the work.
Did you graduate already?
@@crisrangel6024 Yup graduated back in 2018. Received a contract offer then was able to convert to full time at my job after a year.
It’s honestly not for everyone but I encourage everyone to at least try it. Mostly because it’s free
@@willstruthwhy u say its not for everyone ?
Great video! Im working on my Essay right now, I'm applying for the Chicago location. Hoping to get Data Analysis but for a free education I'd study anything this is such a great program.
I thought it was a scam when I saw the TikTok ad too 😂
I wish you good luck on your journey
I’ve always wanted to do this since in community college but I was way too busy. Finally signed up for the fall since I graduate with my bachelors this year!
Congratulations. This program was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made
Bachelors in a year? From year up?
hey man, how did it go? i'm starting in september
Yeah I was in the NYC Year Up after Sandy the storm that took Year Up out 😒 I was facing a lot of problems eviction no money. And the real sin at Year Up white soaks. I just took job after job after graduating just to make ends meet. So was it worth, I didn't work very much in the IT field but my resume was very built up. Everything really depends on you afterwards but during the internship I was really tired didn't even have time to talk to my mentor.
This made no fucking sense
Please continue this series … I just applied for Year up and would love an update about the process. Hope everything is going good and you started that corporate job!
Have you got accepted?
I applied in January and still waiting for a response 😢
Here’s an update for you

@@crisrangel6024 I got accepted to the SF Year Up
hey man, i'm going to start in september. what was your experience like?
That’s literally how I heard about it! Lol
Good Content I graduated from year in 1/18 i had a different experinence both good and bad and some ugly
It’s definitely not perfect. And sometimes very annoying but it changed my life forever
You gotta let the boys know when ur doing the next episode or atleast me bc i wanna be on one
What class were you? I’m from Class23. YUGA Midtown area!!! Graduated January2021. It’s so wonderful that you started this podcast!!!
I’m in class 26 ✌🏾. Thanks for the support
I start soon I’m nervous 😬
The program is very good. However I wouldn't recommend Year Up at the moment because of the current hire freeze. Internships are not guranteed and many people were left without an internship after 6 months. Very disappointed.
Hey, can you do a follow up? I'm really interested in your experiences with YearUp program. I want to apply for it and be prepared : )
Here you go

I need help with the application essay question, when they're asking for the skills you have that will help in the program are they talking about technical skills like coding or general everyday skills like being able to follow directions and being organized etc.?
Pick any skills that you think will apply. Good luck!
What kind of classes do you do? Day in a life?
It depends on what pathway you choose. I might do a day in a life. Stay tuned
the girl voice 😂😂😂
It’s definitely not the best 🤣
We need an update! I'm going to be class 27 for year up. Please tell us the classes you were taking and what the school was like
I’m working on an update now…. Stay tuned
@@willstruth what happened son
some palce till 30
I’m looking at applying to this program for the app development, the only issue is it is a full time commitment and I got some bills to pay. Would you say there is “homework” to do frequently during the first 6 months? Just trying to see how I would be able to do this financially.
There is homework, at least if your in atlanta. I can’t speak for other cities. It’s not crazy difficult but you will need to prioritize your time properly. I would encourage you to do whatever you can financially to get through the program. I like to say sacrifice for one year to change your entire future.
I don’t have a farm. Ummm 🤣
Can you make an updated video for us?
Just dropped

good luck 😁
Curious what the prerequisites are to get selected?
Just need a high school diploma or GED
Can we get an update 😌
Here you go
ua-cam.com/video/pcdKV6QqrCU/v-deo.html
Will I be good if my math and reading are not the best?
I would encourage you to take a year and become a stronger reader and get more comfortable with basic math. The American education system is terrible so don’t beat yourself up over it. Just use UA-cam to Learn and take your time. You got this!
where did u get placed for ur internship?
Cox Communications
A HS classmate put me on last year, i finally said fuck it and sent in an application today, wish me luck!
Good luck!
Where is the update??? 😭

Yes here’s an update
ua-cam.com/video/pcdKV6QqrCU/v-deo.html
Do you think someone could balance yearup and college at the same time ?
You have to be in full-time college with the program
You gonna have to pick one because depending on your city, you will need to apply to a college. This program just requires way too much time to go to a different school

They have virtual or is it all in person mostly
