Congrats on the PR! Only 50 seconds away now...and you did that on a challenging course with some tough winds. Good to run with you for a bit out there yesterday. 👍🏽
Love the part where to told the dude “I’m working!” 😆 Such an inspiring video. I enjoyed this footage. Makes me pumped up for Boston next month!!! Congratulations Ko!
4:52 was my favorite part. Love when people cheer others on like that. I know that pain on your face at the end very well. Way to dig deep and go after it. So awesome AND CONGRATS ON YOUR PR!!
Something flew into my eye at the end there with the hug with Floris. It’s like a Marvel crossover of UA-cam Runners. Congrats on the PR on a tough course. Look forward to the recap and the kofuzi run club run in Chicago later this year
Awesome job! Way to dig deep and leave it all on the course! Nothing touches that type of an effort when the pain and struggle get real after those 1st 20 miles. Keeping it so real and best UA-cam channel by a long shot!
DUDE!!!! You RULE! That was awesome, the grind, the pain, but you DIDN'T GIVE UP! PR's are epic, Congrats! The Kofuzi Run club support is also EPIC, hope you realize what a difference you make. Paying in forward! Great Job Kofuzi!
Congratulations on the well-earned PR! That's a huge feat, especially when I saw how hilly LA course is (1100+ ft of gain according to my friend's Garmin). It totally means you're in sub-3 shape. A flatter course and it's yours. Should give you all the confidence!
I'm crying|!!! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!! I will run my very first marathon in just under 2 weeks, the Paris Marathon... feeling absolutely terrified and excited at the same time, and your videos are incredibly helpful AND inspirational!! Again, BRAVO!!!
you were brave. proper recovery and then use that attitude in good measure in your training. nice gesture from your friends. truly inspiring. well done
Your commitment to holding the camera all the way through is amazing. It uses up energy and affects your running efficiency. Without it you could have easily gained several minutes, but you know that and you keep going. Awesome.
Brave Marathon Mike on a hilly course pacing looked on point you gave it everything on the day New PB 👍Great to see the spirit of sportsmanship is still alive
You really give it everything Ko! A phenomenal effort and so close to elusive sub-3. Loved every second of this video and was willing you across that line. 👏👏👏
Way to hang in there when the going got tough and congrats on a stellar result! Surprisingly found myself a little emotional towards the end of the video. Thanks for sharing and continuing to inspire!
Incredible video, congrats Kofuzi! That Jimmy Dean guy seems so cool with the way he was helping you out at the end and after the race. I wish I could train with someone that like that!
Mike, wow super congratulations, we all know how hard is is when there’s absolutely nothing left all storage tanks are blinking red you truly showed how to literally hang in when everything is telling you stop. That’s as transparent as you can get, that inspired us all and that’s why we love you. You are so on track for a sub 3 and I’m definitely along for that ride cheering you on, friggin fantastic.
Mike, your storytelling is incredible and your kindness is unmatched. I told my roommate about this like you're a close friend. Congrats on the PR and it's a matter of when not if you get the sub-3 you deserve!
After running my first marathon Saturday in Savannah I feel both your joy and your pain. 3:41:xx for me. I hoped for better but was going to be happy with anything under 3:45:00. The wall between miles 22-23 was real. You are an inspiration Mr. Ko!
Awesome result Ko!!! That course is brutal. The hills just keep coming and coming. As for me, you never know what will happen on race day. I developed knee pain in my right leg which prevented me from a good time result having to walk the last 10K but I forgot all about that when I received my finisher's medal. I completed my 1st marathon. I am feeling fine today and my knee is not seriously injured, just a bit tender and painful, especially walking stairs!
"I'm dying... I'm dying... Thanks for coming out, guys." That's Kofuzi. 100% human, 110% awesome!
This made me emotional. Incredible run, Ko.
Great work. Sub-3:00 incoming at your home course of Chicago!
You dug deep there buddy, what an effort on what looked like some cheeky hills!! Another marathon, another PR... keep it rolling!!
You really gave it your everything Mike, it was incredible to see you dig so deep at the end, especially up that steep hill near the finish 🙌

Congrats on the PR! Only 50 seconds away now...and you did that on a challenging course with some tough winds. Good to run with you for a bit out there yesterday. 👍🏽
