Congratulations, Alvin! I also ran the LA Marathon, which was my 6th time, and I experienced those same bowel movements that complete screwed up my intentions of breaking 4 hours. However, for the first time ever, I ran for at least/more than 2 hours, and 20 miles straight; unfortunately, I, technically, hit the "wall", but I only stopped because the porta potty was calling my name lol... I had a lot more left in the tank if I did not have to go to the bathroom, but the positives outweigh the negatives that I am VERY content with, and I can honestly say (like you said) this was my best marathon despite not PR'ing.
Alvin! Really enjoyed this video…so good! The part where you slowed down the time and Yohan and Isaac were running in slow motion, along with the background music, is so poetic ❤. Congratulations on completing such a strong build and finishing with a PR 😊
First time catching one of your videos. Great job, so impressed you fought thru that and finished as fast as you did. Don’t worry about the result. You’re in such great shape now, lots of PRs ahead of you.
BIG SHOUTOUT TO AARON - Thats the support that keeps us going and we feel it in the soul! THANK YOU AARON!!! Alvin, so good to see you finish strong in the marathon, so fantastic to see your success with the growth of the channel - have been here sub 100 and rooting for that 1k mark! I truly believe you'll make it! So many more blessings to you and may God give you the strength and protection to achieve ALL of your goals and dreams
Congrats Alvin, I was pacing a friend just 30 seconds in front of you, for the last 3 miles, the wind, sun and heat was a challenge that day, not to mention the darn rolling hills at the end 😬. I was turning back to help other friends and that’s when I saw you sprinting to the end. LA is a hard race so be proud of yourself 👏🏼💪🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼.
Congratulations Alvin! I loved seeing you having so much fun in this race. You absolutely killed it! Despite the mishap at the end you still had an amazing performance anyone would be proud of. You’ll get that Sub-3 soon I know it. So proud of you man! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
10:27 is the most important cut 🤣. In all seriousness though, spectacular performance at LA--the time is not needed to validate the insane work you've put in behind-the-scenes to get to the start and finish lines. Like Anita said, it's already yours. You'll get it next time!
Great video!!! Congratulations that was a killer time, didn’t get that sub 3 hour but like you said you grew as a runner keep it going, sub 3 next time easily 🔥
Still congrats Alvin, it's not an easy course, it's harder than boston I've seen. I have dealt with races like that before. I DNF the Rock n Roll Half back in Vegas and I was very disappointed in myself that I was on pace to hit a PR but my body just shut down. I said to myself, " Is that really it? All that time, work and money spent just to not finish?" Then I remember that it's just one race this happend. Everything matters towards the marathon. So I recouped and got back into training and got 2nd place in my 10k. All in all, got to be blessed with what you have, again congrats on the PB and so great that your family and friends cheered you on. Hope your next race goes well 🎉🎉🎉

Woohoo!! And agreed, porta potty shouts have been quite loud lately xD

Well run, sir. Got that nice summer wars friendship power boost for the second half. And your intro was so nice and spooky in an inspiring way.

Thanks Andrew!
Good job!
Thanks!
Congrats
Thanks!
Great stable shots. What kind of camera and stabilizer do you use? Congratulations on the race!
Thanks! I used the GoPro HERO11 Black. No gimbal! Just my hand/arm haha
Congrats on the PB! How many times did you have to fill your water bottle? I'm considering taking one for Mountains 2 the Beach next month
Thanks Vien! I only filled it up once this time. It definitely kept me hydrated during the race. Good luck on Mountains 2 Beach!
Well done. Tough course. Back to CIM and you smash 3 hours.
Thanks Chris! That will definitely be the aim.
Bro. This video.
Was it as sleeper and you?!! Man you crushed it!
