TM and I parted ways a lot of years ago but these really look awesome to my eye. Shape looks perfect, no super jacked lofts etc. BTW for those talking aboit $1400, that includes a 4 iron. Not that prices these days arent outrageous but just leeting everyone know.
I’d love to see some alternate angles while you’re talking about the club, from the bottom, at address next to a golf ball so we can see shape, as an offset sensitive player it would be great for me. ✌️
Great review as always guys. I play a P7MC (6-P) / P770 (4&5) combo with the MC 1 degree strong and 770 1 degree weak and love them. Really looking forward to trying these.
These are going to be so nice. I love my MCs but I’ll sign up for a 4i CB right now! I’ve really appreciated the 2k forging process in my irons, these are going to feel so good.
I tried them yesterday. Very compact package. Definitely aimed at the better player. New P770 is basically the same size at the CB. CB spins more. Less ball speed than expected.
As an older golfer (67) I feel describing iron categories by solely by handicap is a bit limited. I fall into the 5-10 handicap category, but sense that trying to consistently hit the P7CB with my "mature" swing speed would not be beneficial.
As a 20 handicap with 120mph swing speed, we’re both outliers! I need forgiveness without added distance, which is not catered to. Every forgiving iron has jacked lofts. Just have to make do with what’s available i guess.
I played the 21 model p7mc. Amazing irons. Went to zx7 mkll. These gotta be head size of mkll zx7 I’d think if they are a gap between p770 and MC. Mc is a pretty sleek iron
This is a nod to the RAC tp and p750 in terms of looks and shape. From a tech standpoint, it screams p750 and Srixon ZX7 (forged CB w/tungsten plugs). I believe Srixon uses the softer 1020 carbon steel vs TM’s 1025 carbon steel. I see this P7CB selling very well but it could easily cannibalize the potential P7MC sales.
I think the top line and sole widths are comparable, but the P7CBs are definitely more rounded overall. The ZX7 MKII is pretty sharp at the toe, especially in the PW.
These look amazing, but I have been looking at Callaway apex pro cb, scrixon cx7 mk2 and or ping blueprint s. Coming back from a long hiatus from Golf, looking to go well under 10 hop again next year. playing ping i525 with regular shaft and my swing speed is too high for them and I'm getting a lot of flyers, inconsistencies even in iron 8-pw. I do like the look of them, but they were demoed, hence halv price and not fitted unfortunatly. I did prefer them to Mizuno hot metal and a few others I tested. My best club in bag is the scrixon utility 2 iron with tour3 modus 120 stiff, so I am really looking to test those shafts. So why u think of Callaway CB vs Taylormade CB.
So the obvious question is what exactly is the difference between the P-7CB and P770 irons which makes a combo set a reasonable choice over just having the same make of iron from 4i or 5i through PW? If it is just that p770 has more forgiveness but performance is otherwise functionally the same between P770 and P7cb, why would you both putting the P7cb in the bag at the higher lofted end
after 12 months of first hand experience, I know you can't combo the MC (2023) and 770 (2021). I've got 770 3-6, MC 7-PW. Just never been able to solve the gap between the 6 and 7. Apparently not as simple as strengthening the lofts of the MCs. Ended up settling for weakening the 6. Looking forward to my CB fitting later this week to replace my MCs. Will no doubt end up replacing the 770s with the new ones as well because they look so good! 2023 770s were bowfin'! 🤢
I've been waiting for these irons for a long time. Would these be comparable to the Titleist T150s? Or do you think these are for a better player? I appreciate any comments. Thanks!
I watched this vid and then the Wilson Staff CB/MB video where Ian was just flushing everything. Interesting to see the Wilson CB look the same in Ian's numbers compared to this CB at almost 30% more cost wise. Hmmm.
I'm gaming my P7TW going from 3-iron down to Pitching Wedge. Looking to combo it up, to replace my not-forgiving 3 and 4 irons. Is this P7CB a good to go? Or a combo it with P770 like Tiger Woods himself? Or with Srixon like Scottie?
I'm gaming MP 221s 4-Pw on Oban Ct 125 Xs. Hurt my hand back in April and so i can't put the SS needed to take full advantage of them, yet. Do you guys have any thoughts regarding this and the P-7CBs?
These look sexy AF I still play RAC lt so maybe finally time for an upgrade havnt able to find an iron that has that feel and a bit of forgiveness and it is finally here
Same here. RAC LT since 2005, inlcuding 4 years of college golf. I'd also recommend hitting the latest cobra king tour iron. I hit them and they were so similar to the RAC. I feel like these TM irons would be the proper replacement for my old RAC though.
How about letting amateurs test these products with you? Maybe find out what a higher handicap feels about this club. Who would benefit with this irons?
I think people just love 760s sooooo much. Which was controversial when they were released. But those that played them knew how good they were and love the looks.
Ugly looking things from the back. They look 'clunky' to me. Certainly not as clean as the MC is/was. It's a shame they perform so well. Now I can't rag on them fully 🤐.
Big RAC energy with these; here for it.
Now, bring back the REAL TP logo!
That's exactly what I thought - bringing back the old designs with slight tweaks 😂
Reminds me of that and the i200
Rac LT Redux for sure
@@LA_i6 100% with a worse logo
Tp flags
Ian’s consistency with these is insane
Been waiting on this, finally! These look amazing. P7cb PW to 5 iron then 4-3 P770
Did you pull the trigger?
Best looking club of the year
Agreed, up there with the JDM X-Forged
Here they are!! Can't wait to check this video out.
GOTTA see these hit next to the P7MCs!
TM and I parted ways a lot of years ago but these really look awesome to my eye. Shape looks perfect, no super jacked lofts etc. BTW for those talking aboit $1400, that includes a 4 iron. Not that prices these days arent outrageous but just leeting everyone know.
Whoa!! I might be switching to theses after playing my Ping I525s. I used to play the TM rac OS and loved those irons.
Great irons, ultra soft, beautiful!!
I’d love to see some alternate angles while you’re talking about the club, from the bottom, at address next to a golf ball so we can see shape, as an offset sensitive player it would be great for me. ✌️
Modern day RAC. Love it.
Great review as always guys. I play a P7MC (6-P) / P770 (4&5) combo with the MC 1 degree strong and 770 1 degree weak and love them. Really looking forward to trying these.
Finally some modern TM irons that actually look great and perform well!
Yes!! Really impressed with these.
2017 p770 is my favorite
These are going to be so nice. I love my MCs but I’ll sign up for a 4i CB right now! I’ve really appreciated the 2k forging process in my irons, these are going to feel so good.
I’m currently rocking a Cobra CB set. These look awesome but starting out with STOCK parts for 1400 is crazy
Thank you very much. Really interesting. 😊😊😊
I tried them yesterday. Very compact package. Definitely aimed at the better player. New P770 is basically the same size at the CB. CB spins more. Less ball speed than expected.
Let's enjoy this!
I’ve had my p760s in the bag since 2020. Might have to give these a try but would be very hard to take those out for how well they’ve treated me
Could you guys do something other than make perfect contact? Hit 5 toe shots, 5 heel shots, 5 low. Some combinations of the aforementioned.
No, no he can’t. ha.
These look like my R7TPs, love it!
Saw a 2 iron in this model from the open, but naturally not available for retail
I actually just build up a combo set with P750 and P730. Looking forward to playing these in a few years when they come down in price.
As an older golfer (67) I feel describing iron categories by solely by handicap is a bit limited. I fall into the 5-10 handicap category, but sense that trying to consistently hit the P7CB with my "mature" swing speed would not be beneficial.

Looks like I know what I need when (if) my RAC TP Combo set ever wears out!
I played the 21 model p7mc. Amazing irons. Went to zx7 mkll. These gotta be head size of mkll zx7 I’d think if they are a gap between p770 and MC. Mc is a pretty sleek iron
The accent is back! Someone must have been in Scotland for the Open
Comparable to t100? Seems like the tech is very similar.
I'm reminded of the Taylormade RAC Forged TP MB irons of 2006, just these aren't nearly so gorgeous. But great job, boys.
I left zx7 for p7mc and was worried I’d have a lot firmer but was completely wrong. I feel the mc are equally as soft as a zx7
Looks almost identical to Rac tour irons of yesteryear
I pretty sure the P-7CB is just a remake of the P-750’s from 7 years ago with a slightly updated rear appearance
Would love to see a comparison to the 760 regardless..
They must think they're sneaky riding off that Z Forged II design...
Sneaky?
It looks nothing like the Z Forged and everything like TM's own RAC Forged from the early 2000s.
The P760 is the best iron Ian has ever hit. Lets do a compare guys. P760 v. P7CB
Well it can't be because he games Mizuno 🤔🤔🤔
@@rimskykorsakov2892 Ehh yes, easy. They have all sorts of irons.

Looks so similar to the srixon ZX 7 mk2

Will be interesting to see Ian’s WITB next month 😂
So the 7mc isn’t going anywhere? This just fits between it and 770?
Looks like taylormade has limited the custom options and removed the MC...
So the obvious question is what exactly is the difference between the P-7CB and P770 irons which makes a combo set a reasonable choice over just having the same make of iron from 4i or 5i through PW?

The blurred irons are revealed!

T100 to me still the best feeling and easiest players cb

Sooo…. Now I’m stuck between the Blueprint S and these 🙃 I feel like I just need someone to make a decision for me at this point.
Maybe a strange queation.....I played the mp-57's for years. How do you think these would compare w/ forgiveness?
Nice 👍🏻
P7CB comparable to T150? Similar size? More forgiving?
Probably like a T130, the T150 lofts are a bit more jacked and I think they’re slightly more chunky as well.
I watched this vid and then the Wilson Staff CB/MB video where Ian was just flushing everything. Interesting to see the Wilson CB look the same in Ian's numbers compared to this CB at almost 30% more cost wise. Hmmm.

I hate cavity backs. These and the MC's are absolutely gorgeous.
Nice but the McGregor MT mills look better for way less … hopefully you do a review on them 🙂 Close
I'm gaming MP 221s 4-Pw on Oban Ct 125 Xs.
Hurt my hand back in April and so i can't put the SS needed to take full advantage of them, yet.
Do you guys have any thoughts regarding this and the P-7CBs?
They must look better in person, I am not a fan of the looks. Which is a bummer because I love the way the rest of Taylormades lineup looks!
Can you make mikey hit the ball please? me and him have identical HCP.
Million dollar question, will Ian put these in his bag now???
Yeah big RAC energy as in it’s basically them reselling a 20 yr old iron.
#4 iron 1.40, Ian’s Club Mate
These look sexy AF I still play RAC lt so maybe finally time for an upgrade havnt able to find an iron that has that feel and a bit of forgiveness and it is finally here

how it you rate it to a ping Blueprint S?
Basically TM version of ZX7
Looks like the OG Rac irons
If the P760 was such a great club, why didn't TM just keep making them?
what vest is Mikey wearing here? thanks
What’s Not to Like!?
I wouldn’t give up my TC 201’s just yet but these have it all over Mizuno these days, sad to say.
No way I’d take my mizuno pro’s any day over these or 770. Mine you I’ve never hit these two but I didn’t like taylormades older 770
They look awesome, the price looks horrible.
When are the 770s?
Do your fitters have these and the new p770's?
Coming soon
Looks like a Mizuno T-ZOID
How about letting amateurs test these products with you? Maybe find out what a higher handicap feels about this club. Who would benefit with this irons?
These look like the OG 770
Am I the minority thinking these look gross? 770 super clean
I think people just love 760s sooooo much. Which was controversial when they were released. But those that played them knew how good they were and love the looks.
The funny part is the p-7cb is 100% a p750 from 7 years ago. They barely changed the appearance from the back.
Hideous
No you’re right, the previous version and now these are ugly, I don’t like the horizontal lines at all.
Lol it’s a cleaner update of the RAC irons.
As 17 handicap playing p760s I feel like I'm in the wrong club, but I'll never change. Sim irons made me worse
Looks like an older version of an i200.
Where is the p770
Looks like a ZX7 Mk2
They look like the Ping i200’s from a few years back
Old school Mizuno MMCs.
RAC rebrand lol
Very similar to Apex pro 19
Rac
MB=P730, MC=P750, CB=P760
When describing the look of the club head why not show it, rather than the heads of the presenters? It would be nice to see what is being described.
Those things are ugly af. They should have made the whole cavity with the horizontal machined lines to match the handsome TP Reserve putters.
What's old is new again.
Say you built T100 competitors, but without saying you built T100 competitors...
Really dislike the shape of the PW....what a bummer.
Looks like Taylormade trying to copy the Srixon ZX7 🤷🏼♂️
These irons were copied from the Yonex forged irons from 10 years ago.
It's an old design by the looks of it just updated .
It’s a p-750
Not my favourite looking
“Bag Clatter” what is this.. amateur hour…Jesus “bag clatter” haha not really sure I can watch another video after that
Now if they could only fix their carbon driver faces......
APEX is coming...
Ugly looking things from the back. They look 'clunky' to me. Certainly not as clean as the MC is/was. It's a shame they perform so well. Now I can't rag on them fully 🤐.
I always laugh when I hear MMC, it's probably a more generic term than "polymer"
Cool
