I currently own a 2023 F150 Platinum that is Whipplecharged and highly modified, a 2023 F150 Tremor 5.0 401A and just picked up my 2024 F150 base Raptor on 4/01/24. After I highly modified the Platinum, I didn't want to daily it, so I ordered the Tremor to my specs (i.e. the 5.0 with front Torsen diff) and absolutely love the truck. I have always loved the body and suspension of the Raptor, wanted to try one, but was not paying over sticker for any new vehicle. I was able to order the 2024 and get it for 3K under sticker so I went for it. I am a die hard 5.0 guy and WISH it was the base engine on the Raptor. If you drive the Raptor 3.5 and Tremor 5.0 back to back, I really enjoy the power delivery of the 5.0. It really has amazing power and pulls hard to 7,200 rpm. The 3.5 has a very seamless power without the hit of the 5.0, but is no slouch, just feels like a sewing machine. The Raptor suspension is obviously superior to the Tremor but the Tremor has a wonderfully smooth ride. I prefer the Raptor because it is bad ass and such a thrill to drive. I went to the local Ford dealership last February thinking I was going to order a Raptor (or Raptor R). I found out that I was looking at a year+ for the "R" and a year for the Raptor. I admit I was pissed at Toyota for Gentrifying the Tundra. Within 24 hours, I decided to get a Tremor. If I thought I could have gotten a Raptor within 6 months I probably would have gone that route. I still love the old Tundra Rock Warrior that I sold to the company, and it is still going strong. Reliability was great, but why no rear locker? Anyway, I ordered a 2023 401 Coyote Tremor with the Torsen. I got it in less than a month. MPG has been great. I haven't pushed it much off-road yet, so I can't comment too much on that yet, but so far so good.
Love my 22 Ford Tremor I was looking at the new Toyota Tundra TRD Pro that had just been released and was looking at a wait and also dealer mark ups were insane. Saw this a tremor at the local dealership and it had just came off the truck. Drove it the next day and was very impressed and I thought the value was there compared to a Tundra. Been a good truck since.
I missed snagging one of these Tremor in the Antimatter Blue color at our local dealer when I was ready to jump from a fam SUV to a truck hauler. They have Employee Pricing and put costs down significantly. I ended up with a Carbonized Grey fully-loaded Nano 302A XLT for around US$50K after taxes. Very happy with the purchase and the packages
I am seeing base Tremors discounted to $60,000, the 401A package. I am not seeing Raptors discounted, I am seeing dealer markups. So it's more like $85,000 for the base Raptor, $60,000 for the Tremor. Tremor will have better road manners, better tow rating. So it's more of a do it all truck. The Raptor is the better off road. But the Tremor is better than any of the other Ford 4x4 choices out there. And I don't want leather, and I don't want a sunroof. If I want to see the sun, I'll park and get out of the truck. And I enjoy the added headroom inside with no sunroof and no sunroof maintenance or leaks. So for me, it's either an XLT with the FX4 package or the 401A Tremor.
Did you trade in? What did you get for the tremor? They are offering me $56k for a 23 402A but I bought it two months ago so I’m taking a bath. I can get a 23 raptor 37 with 5k miles for $78k … well not with my trade in now lol
Great overview of the changes to the guts of the R. Fairly significant “mid-cycle” refresh for increase in price over the ‘23. Agreed the Tremor has its place!
Antimatter blue is a beautiful color once clean in the sun I have raptor that color it’s Greenish from angles purple from angels and has heavy metallic flakes but I’ll agree after a day on the trails and off roading the dust covers the paint ability to change colors
Are those Raptor R enhancements all also on the Regular Raptor with the 37 package, the stronger chassis for instance, all of it? Other than the extra engine power, of course.
I would love a Tremor but I may do an off road budget build. Going to purchase a 22 Lariat with the 7.2 kw powerboard and just add bilsteins and lift. 😊
I digress ! Just unloaded my 2019 450 hp Limited with low mileage. A big part of the reason was it’s colour…..black ! Never again ….just too difficult to keep clean. 24 Tremor w/coyote, Avalanche white, 402A package being built right now. Yeah baby !
Blue cruise isn’t disturbed by lifting or modifying the truck as long as u don’t block the camera or the radar sensor behind the right side plastic piece that’s on the front bumper
Why do manufacturers install spare tires with the valve stem up? How are you supposed to check tire pressure without dropping the tire down? First thing I do on a new truck is drop the spare and flip it over, so I can check my tire pressure periodically...
@@kieransteele7223 I just bought one today for $46k it’s nice I live in Florida so heated seats are moot point, I will be going to the parts department tomorrow to see about a leather wrapped steering wheel and the door for the upper glove box.
It comes down to do you tow more often or do you off road more often that's the question you should ask yourself before choosing one over the other also the V8 will likely outlast turbo engines properly maintained & frequent oil changes
Something I heard in this video about another v8 with late availability had me wondering. Sure enough on Ford’s Raptor website it says the 5.0 and 5.2 supercharged are the optional engine choices. Why isn’t anyone talking about that??
I would love it if you guys would talk about Roush, Shelby, and Saleen F150s and give pros, cons, and opinions about them. Shelby is obviously just a brand statement but also unmistakable performance but you'd never actually take that off-road. Saleen is highly overlooked and Roush is really only known for mustangs. Please and thank you! Love your content!
Wow, fantastic video Andre! Very informative. I was blown away by the level of engineering going on in the 2024 Raptor. I can see why these trucks are so expensive. I love the look and purpose of the Tremor. Just enough ruggedness without overkill. Really like the blue with the orange combo. HOWEVER, $70K I just can't. I'd do $55K on a new Tremor, but $70K is just not in the cards. This is approaching Raptor pricing. Why would a person get 65% of a Raptor but pay 90% of a Raptor price? I'd love to see the Tremor be a little more affordable.
I have a 2021 Ram TRX and just last week finally picked up my 2024 Ford F350 Platinum Tremor...I love both trucks and with technology some is better by Ram other is better in Ford but both make great Trucks..(right off cameras are better in Ram) . If I was given 80k I would get a 2021/22 TRX with low milage over the F150 Tremor or F150 Raptor.. Now as for Raptor R or TRX I like them both equal..Both have there up and downs...Yes R is faster off the lot but TRX do to availablity is cheaper and Mods can make them equal performance and times if not TRX a bit faster, TRX with mods if you get a 21,22 you can mod and still be cheaper than the R.....Both Ram and Ford make awesome trucks!!! I give it to Ram for bringing the V8 back to Baja trucks and making them where anyone can own one after the initial release and mark-ups....I'm not bashing one or the other cause people that do that are fan boys and no nothing and only want drama cause the fact and data speaks volumes that bother are fantastic...
The Raptor comes standard with the Hi-Lock transfer case to provide high and low range gears. With the Tremor it is a $11,710 option and so if you want a real off the road vehicle the cost is either 79,725 for the Tremor or $80,080 for the Raptor. Without the Hi-Lock transfer case one might as well buy a XLT with the 4WD package that includes hill assist and the electronic locking rear differential and save $15,000 as compared to the Tremor.
I love the new front of the tremor 2024 does it fit on the 2022 tremor ? I I guess replace molding under grill , grill and head lamps!!! Would it fit on fender?
Do you know, if I get the F150 Tremor, and then get it levelled maybe 2 1/2' - 3 1/2", maybe other enhancements to the suspension like a stronger control arm if needed b/c of the level change, and 35 tires with a bit extra poke, will this in any way affect the working of the Torsion Front Diff? That Torsion Front Diff is perhaps the main reason I am considering a Tremor over the Platinium/Platinum Plus in 2025 and getting either levelled and such, now that the Powerboost will apparently be available on both. And as for this vid, great. Very educational. The TFL Talk guys do great vid reviews.
I am now leaning towards either a 2025 Tremor with the Powerboost (I'm told that will be available on it) and doing a 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 level with 35's and a bit more poke after market, or the 2025 Raptor with the 37 Performance Package. Leaning towards the Tremor with Powerboost for the greater mpg, the added versatility of the narrower vehicle, and the Powerboost features. That Torsion Front Diff of the Tremor is key to helping me make that decision, I've heard great feedback about that compared to the other F150's without it; that and the Powerboost becoming available on it.
Andre, why didn’t you ask Carl if ford finally fixed the cam phaser issue in the 3.5 ecoboost. My 2021 ecoboost has had 2 sets of cam phasers replaced in 48,000 miles.
Good stuff. I'd love to be able to get the Powerboost engine in the Tremor. I heard it might be an option in 2025. Do you know if it will? What do you think of the Powerboost in this model? And since it appears to have dropped the "Deep Snow/Sand" mode, what mode and changes to it would I use instead? Is there maybe a custom mode that I can create and save for this purpose? This is relevant here in deep snow ski country. The Audi Q8 has a custom mode, and though an suv of sorts it is clearly not as effective off road as something like this, but that custom mode would be nice to have. Start with perhaps Rock Crawl mode to get it into 4L, then make other adjustments if that is possible, then save the settings.
Very interesting point around the 52/53 min mark about the impact of today's common mods like levelling, lifting, bigger tires and such on standard real time calibrated data from miles travelled and mpg and mph to the the surround camera set up and such. Do you know, can those be re-adjusted after the custom mod work is done so they are correct again? I've been leaning towards a 2025 Platinum or Tremor and doing a 2.5 - 3.5" level and 35" tires after market, but now I wonder if I should.
Ford tech here. Unless you need the capability of the Raptor,go Tremor. Also, note to Raptor guys who complain about noises. It’s a Raptor, it’s going to make noises here and there over bumps and uneven surfaces. If you want a quiet truck get a Lariat or a Limited
HEY FORD!!! BRING BACK ATLAS BLUE FOR THE TREMOR! I’m looking to get a new truck this next year. I’m leaning towards the V8 Tremor. I love that you offer the V8. That’s the motor that I want, but if you don’t offer Atlas blue, I won’t buy. Why offer white and avalanche? It’s almost the same color. No royal blue option. No race red option. C’mon man…
I don’t get this tailgate war. Just give me a plain tailgate with a pullout step. Also, Ford should do a tailgate on the Tremor like on the Raptor that says FORD across the back. That looks awesome! Great video as always!
I am about to take a look at a 2024 Tremor 5.0 V8 and am thinking about trading in my 2023 Raptor. I have notice that the value of my Raptor has decreased quite a bit in the recent months so I doubt I'll be able to swing the deal (even with putting down $35K it will still be like $600+/month payment) but I am interested in comparing the two for myself.
I don't see the need to go for features and capabilities that I may only use a few times and even then only because I have them not because I need them. I think the Tremor is a more usable package but I would probably stick with an FX4 since that is all I have ever needed for work
I have a 23 coyote tremor and I wanted the raptor and made a deposit for the raptor r before it was released but the pricing in Canada is just too ridiculous 200k. I barely wanted to pay 105k for my tremor
I would take the Tremor and Coyote for the $80,000, but I’d probably spec it with the least amount of options to get A/C seats and then keep the difference.
@@9663mu well good luck with that.. there are no long bed ZR2’s, Raptors, Tremors, TRX’s, Rebels, TRD Pro’s or RHO’s… clearly the market doesn’t justify it.

When you look at what you get with a Ranger Raptor I would agree with you. The only let down on the Ranger Raptor is it doesn’t have ventilated front seats, and that’s a necessity living in a 4 month a year hot as heck state. If there was a cloth seat option that would be a good compromise.
Ford should have made the dual valve standard across the board like the Ram RHO has standard , come on Ford make that a change across all of the Raptors period. Don’t be surprised if they do that next year for competition sake.
The rake on the tremor is hideous, yeah its designed to “level out” when you have a payload in bed, but if you actually look at the leaf pack that's a joke as well. One leaf and one massive plastic polycarbonate under spring overload that is like 3 inches tall.

I'm curious if the new steering upgrades are also present in the 35 package for the Raptor, or just the R.
I like my 2023 Azure Gray Tremor. 402a Torsen diff that raptor doesn't offer. Better payload with the Tremor too
The Raptor does offer the torsen diff
@@carltongray3302 Not since 2022
@@carltongray3302nope
@@Dqalexwhy wouldn't they offer that on the raptor...
@@simd510 They used to until the Raptor R came along They use the computer now to apply break to the wheel that's slipping.
“Duuude.” With the Ford Performance engineer I was having Finding Nemo flashbacks. 😂
Id buy a regular fx4, an use the saved money to do the suspension the way I want.
No powerboost
AWESOME as always!
Andre, why didn’t you ask Carl if ford finally fixed the cam phaser issue in the 3.5 ecoboost. My 2021 ecoboost has had 2 sets of cam phasers replaced in 48,000 miles.
so disappointed with the headlights on the Tremor - even on the 402A package they are reflective and not projectors. Why???
Hot Peoper Red! Come on Ford! Build it and I will buy it.
Tremor will be my next truck in a few years, let's hope that the V8 will still be around in a few years.
You only live once, don't wait buy it now.
Yes, Ford, Red, Orange and Purple!
Coyote engine Tremor is the way to go. I wouldn’t mind a PowerBoost Hybrid on the Tremor trim.
Tremor would be better for hitting trails. Raptor better at high speed baja type just depends on what you plan on doing with the truck.
Hey Andre, this is the first time I’ve noticed you have Vulcan ears! 👂 😂
The "trombone exhaust" any indication as to month or build date for what "late this model year" means?
I don't need either one, but I would choose the Raptor. It's what I currently drive, so I'm biased too I guess.
My understanding is that you can adjust using FOR-SCAN. I have a Tremor and plan on doing that.
My 2023 Tremor 401a with the Coyote V8 and torsen is the best truck that I have ever owned. Completely satisfied.
Ford tech here. Unless you need the capability of the Raptor,go Tremor. Also, note to Raptor guys who complain about noises. It’s a Raptor, it’s going to make noises here and there over bumps and uneven surfaces. If you want a quiet truck get a Lariat or a Limited
Gen 1 still holds up next to the new ones. The gen 3 even went back to the gen 1 styling.
Like Porsche's GTS editions i'l go with Ford's Tremor editions😁.
Is it true that the 2024 model has a timing belt instead of a timing chain?
Color for treamor or colors available?
Amazing truck excellent video Andrei, thank you
is that tailgate available on the raptor?
Tremor is preferred over raptor. If i given any truck i want, it would be a powerstroke super duty crew cab all black 4x4.
I still want a factory RCSB 122" Tremor with a 7850# GVWR for world travel with payload.
Why?
I don't see the need to go for features and capabilities that I may only use a few times and even then only because I have them not because I need them. I think the Tremor is a more usable package but I would probably stick with an FX4 since that is all I have ever needed for work
I have a 23 coyote tremor and I wanted the raptor and made a deposit for the raptor r before it was released but the pricing in Canada is just too ridiculous 200k. I barely wanted to pay 105k for my tremor
Man...why didn't you ask what's next for the 3.5L with the RHO coming out!
I would take the Tremor and Coyote for the $80,000, but I’d probably spec it with the least amount of options to get A/C seats and then keep the difference.
The new tailgate is a step backwards. The hidden step was much more practical.
I guess you don't work out of your truck with that ignorant comment
Is this an old interview? Hasnt the raptor had dual live valves on the 37 since 2023?
Wish they would make the 5.0 available in the Raptor.
3.5 ecobeast is definitely an upgrade!
It used to be standard. Now you pay for it. The ‘24 is a backwards update compared to the ‘21-23 Tremor
@@paulcabinatan2390 .. it's only $90 for much more torque. Well worth it.
In Canada the 3.5L is standard and the 5.0 is about $1500 more
I have the Raptor 2020, I won't change it! Every who has a GMC or Chevy truck wants to buy my Raptor. Interesting!
We save so much on maintenance not daily driving a ford we get to thinking we can afford one😂
I agree Andre, I would choose a V8 Tremor over a V6 Raptor all day long.
There is nothing more hard to get over than driving your Raptor and it make V6 noises. I went from a Gen2 Raptor to a Gen1 and now a Raptor R.
Maybe if your elementary.
I tow a lot, so I drive a diesel one ton. I agree that the Tremor would be better for me.
I really like the tremor!
Has Ford decided to "fix" their reoccurring coil pak problem?
...ALSO do an article about the 5.0L on E-85! Huge savings, and better power.
Less fuel economy.

@TheTommyOhh not in my 2018. It's only about 1 mpg or 6.25%.
Love the tremor by why not offer a long bed as well
Defeats the purpose of an off road truck, if its way too long
@@paulcabinatan2390 who cares ? If someone wants a long bed tremor offer one. I bc am understand no Raptor on longer bed
@@9663mu well good luck with that.. there are no long bed ZR2’s, Raptors, Tremors, TRX’s, Rebels, TRD Pro’s or RHO’s… clearly the market doesn’t justify it.
Because they'd never make money on it. Not enough demand for an off-road truck that will ALWAYS get high centered off road.
@@ryansheard8092 it’s literally a longer bed. That’s the only difference. Zero mechanical difference. And yes I’ve already mentioned the people who buy the LWB already know that short bed is better for off-roader but choices are good
Thanks TFL Andre…is Ford upgrading the Tremor with an Interior Black Package?..and is Ford upgrading and or adding options to the 2025 F-150 STX..Rear Sliding Window?..Wireless Cellphone Charger?..2.7L V6 with Tremor Package?..2.7L V6 Hybrid?..the Ford Dealership Salespeople get annoyed when asked these questions.🤔
wish they would make one with a MUCH lower hood... smaller grille...
think I just want Ranger Raptor...
When you look at what you get with a Ranger Raptor I would agree with you. The only let down on the Ranger Raptor is it doesn’t have ventilated front seats, and that’s a necessity living in a 4 month a year hot as heck state. If there was a cloth seat option that would be a good compromise.
Raptor. I like a more compliant ride. I would love a V8 in it for supercharger goodness.
Andre, ask the Dude Which colleges does Ford Performance recruit from? Anyone from Colorado School of Mines?
Me watching knowing damn well the only truck in my price range is an STX :(
Definitely a coyote tremor over the raptor tbh
Do you think the 2025 F150 Raptor will get the new KO3’s?
I wish they offered a desert tan color
Ford should have made the dual valve standard across the board like the Ram RHO has standard , come on Ford make that a change across all of the Raptors period. Don’t be surprised if they do that next year for competition sake.
The rake on the tremor is hideous, yeah its designed to “level out” when you have a payload in bed, but if you actually look at the leaf pack that's a joke as well. One leaf and one massive plastic polycarbonate under spring overload that is like 3 inches tall.
I love V8 that make me hesitant about my decision
