Chiang Mai is really nice. I think we both enjoyed it a bit too much though. It was so easy to just eat good food and sit by the pool all day. We didn’t film or get out as much as we like to 😅
The energy you two give is just amazing! Definitely nice seeing this side of Thailand. Those temples looked straight out of a movie with the fog and stuff! 😍

In normal times there are a lot of backpackers with all kind of scooter injuries when they are coming back from Pai 😖
Maybe a small hint, it's always a good idea to wear glasses or any kind of eye protection because of the small stones on the roads and the bugs flying around. :)
If you are planning to visit vietnam I recommend renting a scooter in Edit: Phong Nha (I wrote "Ninh Binh" first which is also nice but not what I meant) and exploring some of the caves etc. it's a beautiful area...

As a biker. I recommend you guys to choose bigger motorcycle. 125cc or 150cc class (even bigger but not more than 500cc)
It will give you more stability when you need it at the corner, give you more power for climb to steep and comfortable for long ride.
What's you guys plan? No don't spoiled it yet. I will tune in waiting for new videos. Hopefully Mae Kim Pong and Pat is in your list.

This is really good advice, and I hope people watching the video see this comment! We had a 125cc Honda and for two people it is a bit underpowered. Definitely will got with 250cc and something with better suspension.

I married my wife 7 years ago and instead of taking a backpack trip together, we bought a new house and start having kids. Before we realize, now we are more parents than a couple and instead of riding scooter, we have to drive MPV packed with our kids with non stop fighting about which cartoon to watch or who spell the color of bus or taxi correctly first, lol.
Will you and your wife travel after the kids are grown?

Probably when they are 10 or maybe 12 years old, several years from now. We will be early 40s by then and hope we an still enjoy adventures!

Seems like you guys love Nom Jeeb and Kow Soi. Ha Ha. I love them too. Crispy Kow Soi noodle and curry soup so yummy. When visiting the King and Queen Pagoda, I like to buy icecream and enjoy eating it in the cold breeze. Actually that's not originally an observatory but it was the Thai Air Force's Radar station during Vietnam war. I got a friend who stationed there long time ago.
You know what? You missed something!
Close to the parking area on your left before going up to the Radar station there is an entrance to the trekking route called Kew Mae Pan. I think it would take around 2 hours to complete the route in circle. The mountain views are stunning (for someone who grew up in the dessert lol). But since it looked like there was no one there except you guys ha ha, I think it was closed due to Covid impact. Normally there would be lots of people up there and there is trekking service provided by local trekking guide.

That trail looks stunning. We wish more was open, and that we had more time up there. I think we will go back to Doi Inthanon one day just to experience that trail.

This is a good point! We're in Chiang Rai today.
Actually, the way to Doi Inthanon has 4 waterfalls, first is Mae Ya Waterfall, Second is Wachiratarn Waterfall (as your VDO), third is Mae Klang Waterfall and the last is Siriphum Waterfall (the way of Doi Inthanon Royal project). When you go to Doi Inthanon, I would like to recommend you visit Inthanon Royal project that has the beautiful various flowers park, the restuarant and resort inside that very very good.
We could have spent days in the park! So much to do and see. One day was not enough.
Wow nice Doi Inthanon I was there few years ago cycling 🚴♀️. You have nice Scotter nice weather nice waterfalls beautiful. 2000 Overs sea levels. Very cold on top.Memory thanks 🙏 again.

Last time I visited Doi Inthanon was a long time ago..and it was so crowded. I like to see it quiet :)

Everytime I go to Chiangmai, I always eat Khao Soi Mae Manee.
For me, Mae Manee is the best Khao Soi in Thailand.
If you ever have a chance, you should try it.
Mae Manee has 2 branch. The 2nd branch is near the city.
Since you have the scooter, you should try the 1st (original) branch.
We had a few people recommend this place! Next time we’re in Chiang Mai, we definitely need to go 😊

Doi Inthanon is known as the cloud forest in Thailand - so the foggy condition is common
It was very nice to see all the fog. Where we come from there is never fog so it was cool
you both need to spend one night at doi intanon there army camps and they provide blankets and there small market also and i am sure you both love that place so much and night camping .
We had no idea that is something that can be done! That would be so much fun!
Thailand have 3 season Summer Winter and Rainy You already touch 3 of them lucky
