The Highest Mountain in Thailand (Royal Garden Lunch with my Parents on BEAUTIFUL Doi Inthanon)

- Welcome to the Highest Point in Thailand, Doi Intanon National Park. One of the coolest, most unique places in all of Thailand, I love visiting Doi Intanon whether its by bicycle, by motorbike, or by car... there is a nearly endless amount of beautiful nature to explore and Im so happy to welcome you here to enjoy all this with us today!
Coming by bicycle, I met my parents driving up with Li. Staying up here for 2 days was the right choice (stay tuned for our "Doi Intanon Summit" video later on :) ) We meet up today near this restaurant where we have lunch, the restaurant was completely booked though so after a quick cup of coffee, we check out the Royal Gardens waiting for a table to open.
The gardens are mind-blowing, literally hundreds of plants growing here that could not grow anywhere else in Thailand. Up here at 1,500m elevation (the peak of Intanon is over 2,500m), there exists a microclimate where Bird Watchers, Nature lovers, or just Cool-Weather addicts love to congregate in the "winter" season of Thailand.
Not only that, today we get to enjoy 2 unique fish for dinner, both of which are raised on the high hillsides of this mountain, as well as some unique/rare mountain fruits and vegetables (we also come here with my friend Mark for yet another day of exploration, stay tuned also for THAT awesome adventure!).
This year we've been blessed with an extra-long cool season, and we are loving EVERY minute of it! Thanks again for joining us, I hope you love this video and all the gorgeous nature you see with us today. Much love!

I am recuperating from Covid Pneumonia..it was beginning but I was hospitalized for a week N a half. I'm so much better now..day by day..It's a privilege to be well . I'm on oxygen for a little more maybe less than a week. I would wake up eat breakfast and put on a video of you guys lol. I'm back doing so. It’s strange to see the ornamental cabbages in their full glory in February - they’re fall blooming for us in North America. Those trees blossoming makes me think of our spring time cherry blossoms 🌸 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸☀️ ☀️☀️☀️🌦🌦🌦🌦
February is autumn there. The climate is different and a bit unusual. After the rain season from June to November follows winter (Dec & Jan) and then autumn. In April and May it will be summer.
I took some wonderful autumn photos in February 2014 on Doi Inthanon and in nearby Mae Hong Son province.
@@Robert_Hermigua Thanks for the info & the reminder Robert - the first third of my life was in the tropics on a similar seasonal clock as Thailand but having adapted to a North American seasonal clock it’s a little odd seeing a typical October scene in glorious bloom in February … at the same time as the spring flowering blossoms. Hi everyone! Another family trip to a gorgeous area. I love gardens and plants being able to grow naturally. Mmm, the shrimp looks very plump and juicy. Nothing like a warm meal on a chilly afternoon. I'm always amazed at how far and long you can ride your bike. You ride farther than I drive most days. Great video!

If it was 100 km in the car I would probably get bored, probably end up quitting whatever it was that was forcing me to drive that far, just being honest and that’s one reason why I respect you so much by the way, you have patience to do what you want to do even if it means huge car drives… But on the bike it’s somehow different, because all along the way it can be fun as well. OK, I know some people do love driving in the car but, for me on the bike it’s just so much easier to let kilometers pass by and suddenly, “oh we’re here!!”

The beautiful garden , the spectacular waterfall , the black swans , the ambience - Picture perfect - befitting for Royals 👍👌 😀 Joel it’s so wonderful of you to take your parents to such a serene place 👍🙏 Your reward for riding 96 Kms has been a true worth - Simply admire your commitment towards riding ( what a way to enjoy the sport that elevates your passion ) 👍👌 The Spicy Sturgeon and Chayote soup , the bowl of Shrimp , the fall apart Pork dish , the condiments all look super delectable 😋😋 I agree when you said during one of your vlogs with your friends that though love Indian cuisine in terms of flavour but Thailand dishes our delectable and healthy dishes 👍👍 The spicy soup is indeed a fab Yin Ying combo - The mild chayote and Sturgeon though a tad milder doesn’t let the spicy soup broth take over and both retain their flavour profile .
