That was really helpful. I've watched a bunch of videos on tying a bowtie and the difference here was the reference to "the original knot". Simple as that. I guess it's hard because the viewer doesn't see it from the perspective of the one tying the knot. So, Voila! Handy reference point! Thank you!

Very impressive. I'm obsessed with ties and have still never managed to tie a bow-tie properly.
I wasn't freaking out about how uneven the tie was until you did in the video lol. After that I was obsessing over every detail (there was a particular corner that I stared at the whole time).

Great vid, still getting used to playing in a tux. Do you hold the bass any differently when suited?
Thanks! In general, I lower my end pin when I play orchestral music, but that's the only thing that changes when I play in a tux. It's actually a bit more comfortable for me to play in a tux, as opposed to some dresses/skirts. :)
