Always cool to see your projects. I’m not much of a turner but the tennon going through the shelf then into the other finial was smart. I was thinking tennons on both ends and netting in the middle of the shelf. Your design is much stronger. I made a walking stick on my mini lathe and drilled into one section then turned the other to go in. I put a copper collar on each tennon joint and it held up well.
I like the tenon going through the discs into the next vertical piece. I’ve made a cupcake stand and didn’t think of that. Nice work!
