Did you know, that the whole room lights up every time you smile?
As always, beautiful work. Wishing you and your family a blessed, safe, healthy and Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the idea. Now I know what to do with the small piece of ebony I acquired. It is so much fun and instructive watching you.
Here in Arizona I’ve got mature ironwood trees in my backyard and when I trim it up any branches over 1 inch gets place in my turning pile and is left to season for at least a couple years. Lately I have been making drilled out and turned snowmen with top hats, with a plug in the bottom to place notes or something small in the hollowed out center, with pipe cleaner arms and scarves. Tonight I am going out in the middle of the night to place one on each house that has decorations in the yard on my block. Along with a note wishing them a merry Christmas.they are also painted white with black dots for eyes and buttons black for the top hat with red for the hatband.
And here I thought Santa resided even farther North than I do! Dirk, you sound like the kind of neighbor we all wish for. Stay safe and Merry Christmas to you!
Does ironwood crack as it dries , I have done same but only wood i found that will not is hawthorn and caragana
Such a beautiful and talented lady! Her voice is so soothing and comforting that I can't stop watching. Thanks for sharing your gift with all of us and Merry Christmas!
Raise your hand if your heart skips a beat every time this amazing, extremely talented and beautiful artist posts a video. Tremendous work as usual, Ashley. Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.
Interesting use of the pin vice to crill the wire hole.
Why are all the fun and crafts(person) women always taken !!! I asked Santa for an Ashley for Christmas, yesterday I received a call from the local bulk fuel supply store asking where I wanted the 20 pounds of coal delivered. Such beautiful delicate work takes a good eye and steady hands to be so precise. Just beautiful. Alania, I know that you watch this channel, I want a bunch of those earings as decorations on my Maple Prop !! :-😎❄🎄🎄🎄🙏 Merry Christmas from Minnesota during a Blizzard Warning.
Wow, from massive table bases to little bitty earrings. Your craftsmanship is fantastic, Ashley~!!
Beautifully done. Very creative
Thise looked very nice and I like how they came out, now I see where I can improve. Thank you for sharing.

Always a lovely smile after you complete your project, been a pleasure watching your videos and hope 2021 is a great success for your channel. Merry Christmas from the UK.
I’ve seen some of your jewelry in footage in other videos, but this is the first time I’ve actually seen you make them. So used to the larger projects. My wife was amazed at the amount of work involved in just one pair of earrings.
Happy holidays and good health to you and yours.
I'm in love......I mean with the earrings! Very talented. Love your attitude towards the art.

Merry Christmas Ashley from Australia.. Love your work, im still saving up for a good wood lathe. I can't wait to try this for myself, as I can't make your workshops, your video's are so helpful.
Thank you! You too! Hopefully one day that will change!
Very Nice! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Greetings from Bavaria
Same to you! thank you!
Merry Christmas from Czechia 😷
Same to you!
It's always a treat to open UA-cam and see you have a new video! I was wondering if could explain the live center you are using? The 1" long or so rod shape is not something I have seen, but I'm new to turning and trying to learn about the tools.
Wow, you turned those perfect little shapes in almost one stroke of the chisel. It’s almost like watching CNC in motion. Been feeling guilty that my reply to your motivational video where you mentioned your years at the farmers market I watched last month was not worthy of your message as after watching it I got out of bed early for a couple of weeks and really got some work done. Happy Christmas Ash Wood!
I could watch you turn a hotdog. Like I said before......so much talent. Keep up the great work.
Very talented. I love watching you work the lathe so well. You have very good control with the chisels but I got to say I did go back and have a 2nd look when you used the drill bit on the first ear ring. I honestly thought you were holding it with your bare hands. I didn't see the precision drill bit holder at first.
💯✔👩🎨 a very good gift idea .. thanks for sharing ..cheers
Thank you so much 😊
merry Christmas
Same to you!
Parabéns muito bonito trabalho nota dez e feliz Natal pra todos vcs e que Deus abençoe sempre vcs. 👏👏👏❤❤
Wish you Merry Christmas from Bavaria
Happy holidays!
Another good video. I noticed a glass of wine to help with the tedious work😏
Always! especially late nights
Cooooooool
Bravissima buon natale
Ashley, I would like to know more about your respirator and where I could get one. You may have discussed this before but I'm new to your channel and turning. I just bought my first lathe at 62 years old. Thank you for your knowledge.
I don't have a brad joke for you, but I'd like to say Merry Christmas to you and God bless you. Cheers.
Revelation! You cut a tenon then flipped the piece around. I’ve watched many vids a finial turnings and the like and I’ve never seen that done but it makes perfect sense to ensure the piece stays centered.
Looks really nice..very labour intensive though..what would you sell these for??
Cool
Turning Christmas Gifts till 2 A.M. ? I hope the boss pays you overtime ;-P
Happy Christmas and stay safe! thank you for sharing your talent, experience and your taste of beautiful.I so much enjoy your videos, but unfortunately too far away to join your class. Greetings from Greece..
It would have been a perfect gift for the fiancée. Maybe next year 😄
what a pleasure to watch you work, it's beautiful and soothing .... i think I'm in love.... Kisses from France 😘
Thank you so much 😀
Great video! Merry Christmas! Quick question. What setup do you have in your tailstock when doing the rough turning? It looks like a steel dowel recessed into a cup center? Thanks!
Would love to see a video of your sea urchin ornaments.
I put together a DVD of the Sea Urchin Ornaments, you can check it out on my website www.ashleyharwood.com/product/sea-urchin-ornaments-and-fine-spindle-turning-dvd/17?cs=true
A...I don't have a lathe, and I don't wear earrings, but.........this is stunningly beautiful work and I enjoyed watching it!! DD
Great video Ashley! Those look amazing! How many beads can you get from a single blank? I also want to ask how your video guy is doing? He was down with COVID last I heard...
Was there something on the paper towel used near the end or was it dry.
They are great. Have you ever turned cow horn? I make powder horns and other things for horn. Turns just like wood. I have some nice tips that would make a nice pair off earrings. If you ever want to try let me know I will send you some.
What pin vise is that at 1:27? Would you recommend it, I'm looking for a good one. Also, great video.
you were using some tiny spinning tools...can you share what size & diameter tools you were using? I am very new to turning and I really liked what I just saw in your video. Need help identifying the lathe tools (other than chuck) you were using if you don't mind. Thank you and have a blessed day!
Good
I don't see the earnings on your web site. Do you sell them? Thank you for all your work and efforts you put into your video's!!
Hi Ashley, great pre xmas gift idea.
What brand is your face shield come respirator please?
I use the PAPR respirator, if you wish to check it out I do carry it on my website www.ashleyharwood.com/product/papr-respirator/2?cs=true
красивому токарю, красивые сережки🙂
i'm on my tenth bowl now. I am goin' to make something with a lid next in what ever junk wood i can get my hands on- likey an old burl i go cut. I need to get jumbo jaws some day so i can do decorative bottoms.
Curious about the little drill bit you used to make the hole
2:20 - Ashley, judging by the foot tapping, I take it that you were enjoying the music in your ear buds.
ha! you caught me! I love listening to music while turning
Schone Ohrringe, Sie sind eine sehr talentierte jungle Dame.
You are "GORGEUS!" Sorry did i say that out loud???? Take care .John.x. Greetings from Yorkshire. England.
Where did you get the facemask / breathing equipment that you wear?
Just curious how much did you sell these for when you were doing shows? Looks pretty time consuming with all the wire wrapping.
