It's a good idea that once you've done your final sanding to wet the wood to lift the grain on the timber and once dry to sand again with the final grit to achieve a silky smooth finish
Thanks Rob! They are a bit of work but they are favorites of my wife and our friends and family! Figured I’d share some for public sale. Glad I don’t have to do these all the time.
Hello my friend, I love all products made of wood. These are great objects. Beautiful designs. Unless you try out the innovations, you cannot learn something new. And you are always working to teach innovations. And you always produce innovative studies and ideas. Thank you for sharing. See you. greetings...
Thanks, yes those are epoxy and I make them from resin table and cutting board off cuts. I guess you could take a chunk of wood and do a single epoxy pour and then slice that into small segments like these earrings. If I make more, I will shoot a video on the process. Thanks!
Its my own shop that I have been building for years. As I do projects for people and get paid, I upgrade my tools and or equipment. Its expensive but the money is made on those tools. Thanks!
That's a band saw? I thought that is called a scroll saw. I'm interested in making wood earrings and I need clarification. Can someone help? Thanks anyone!

You could also drill the hole while they are all stacked together too.
The ones with the dark wood grains look amazing, they remind me of fantasy maps. In fact I thought they were printed for that at first
It's called spalting. It's actually a disease of the wood but nothing serious or dangerous.
Woodworker turned jewelry maker!!! We LOVE these and can't wait to buy them for Christmas presents!
Thank you very much for all the love and support! You guys rock! 🇺🇸
I love wearing wooden earrings and this designs I saw here made me love wooden earrings even more. Great Job 👌🏾

These look great! Nice work
Thank you for this! Now is there a way to do this with simple hand tools? Thanks!
Consider a coping saw and perhaps a rotary tool.

HI, I was wondering how you did the skinny wood earrings with the blue on the bottom half. is that resin? Would love a video on those!
Thanks, yes those are epoxy and I make them from resin table and cutting board off cuts. I guess you could take a chunk of wood and do a single epoxy pour and then slice that into small segments like these earrings. If I make more, I will shoot a video on the process. Thanks!
Do you sell the earrings blanks? They are gorgeous and I want to make it too
Sorry all the ones I have are complete. No blanks. They are all made from leftover scrap wood.
Grrrreat! Kudos!
Beautiful!!! I NEED in my life, lol ... where can I find link to purchase?
Thanks! Email me at creevesmakes@gmail.com
How did you attach the earring hardware to the cylindrical shaped earrings? Do they screw in or do you epoxy them in or something?
I used “jump rings” to loop through the wood and then attach to the hook.
Nice job 👍
Thank you very much!
😲 So cool! 😎
Thank you very very much!
You need a website! These earrings are gorgeous
Working on an Etsy store! Lots of work! Thanks
@@CReevesMakes do you ship to the uk

Talent
Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
I would like to buy a bundle
How thick do you cut the wood on the band saw?
Just around an 1/8”.
They're quite exquisite, but that's also a lot of investment in time! How much do you sell them for? Do you estimate how much time goes into one pair?
Thank you! I do not make just one pair. I batch out all of the steps. One pair sells for $25-$40 depending on what they are.
Do you sell the cut outs to folks who wanted to DIY earrings?
I do not, sorry. I have earrings for sale though!
Would love to find the exotic woods that you use here. Do you have a link for that?
They are just padauk, walnut, maple, and spalted sycamore.
Killer use for off cuts man!
Thanks Mike! Yeah it’s getting harder and harder to throw away or burn scrap now! The pieces just keep gettin smaller and smaller! 😂
Can i use a Scroll saw?
Wow. Those look amazing. What sander and foam contour pads were you using?
I am using a Surfprep 5” Ray sander with a 3/32” orbit. The pads are the 5mm fine and super fine pads also by Surfprep.
surfprepsanding.com/sanding-system/use code “CReevesSP10” for 10% off!

Laser engraver will cut these clean and precisely a every time.
I have one now and that is my new method. 😂 too much hand work on these!
what face mask are you using... can you put a link to this on your page :D Thank you
Which one are you referring to? The red one that my wife is wearing or the full mask with filters that I have on?
I would like to order. Do you have a website?
Hey there Valerie! The best way to order is to contact me direct at creevesmakes@gmail.com

Cool workshop. Professionally.☺ Is this your own workshop, or is there someone who sponsors the production?) The equipment is quite expensive ..😒
Its my own shop that I have been building for years. As I do projects for people and get paid, I upgrade my tools and or equipment. Its expensive but the money is made on those tools. Thanks!
@@CReevesMakes It's very cool.

Where can we purchase your earrings?
Please email me at creevesmakes@gmail.com for information. Thanks
Do you accept orders? I’m from Philippines
Nice. Now explain it with tools normal people got at home🙂
Ha! I hear ya. I actually do all of my earrings on a diode laser now. MUCH easier!
That's a band saw? I thought that is called a scroll saw. I'm interested in making wood earrings and I need clarification. Can someone help? Thanks anyone!
A scroll saw would be cheaper, smaller, and better at cutting small curves. That’s my suggestion
👍👍
Thanks!
I love them, do you sell them
I do! Thanks. I don’t have a website store for them yet but email me at creevesmakes@gmail.com. Thanks!

If I ask you to make anything made of red and white sandalwood, I can make it for you
Bookmatch your blanks so you have mirror image earrings, Otherwise it'll come across looking cheap.
