His monologue at the end was so well said. The Anthony Bourdaine quote 👌
And he said Meccas despite being Jewish. Pretty self aware dude.

It’s terrible for the mom and pop places. All the big grocers are the ones controlling the scene. They have such big buying power.

1. Praise be to God, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Maker of the angels messengers with wings-double, triple, and quadruple. He adds to creation as He wills. God is Able to do all things.
2. Whatever mercy God unfolds for the people, none can withhold it. And if He withholds it, none can release it thereafter. He is the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom.
3. O people! Remember God’s blessings upon you. Is there a creator other than God who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? There is no god but He. So how are you misled?
4. If they reject you, messengers before you were also rejected. To God all matters are returned.
5. O people! The promise of God is true; so let not the lowly life seduce you, and let not the Tempter tempt you away from God.

12. The two seas are not the same. One is fresh, sweet, good to drink, while the other is salty and bitter. Yet from each you eat tender meat, and extract jewelry which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through them, so that you may seek of His bounty, so that you may give thanks.
13. He merges the night into the day, and He merges the day into the night; and He regulates the sun and the moon, each running for a stated term. Such is God, your Lord; His is the sovereignty. As for those you call upon besides Him, they do not possess a speck.
14. If you pray to them, they cannot hear your prayer. And even if they heard, they would not answer you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will reject your partnership. None informs you like an Expert.
15. O people! It is you who are the poor, in need of God; while God is the Rich, the Praiseworthy.
16. If He wills, He can do away with you, and produce a new creation.
17. And that would not be difficult for God.
18. No burdened soul can carry the burden of another. Even if one weighted down calls for help with its burden, nothing can be lifted from it, even if they were related. You are to warn those who fear their Lord inwardly, and perform the prayer. He who purifies himself purifies himself for his own good. To God is the ultimate return.

Daaaaaaaang! Those smoked lamb ribs.... THAT is a proper bark right there, everything looks stunning 👍🏻
He’s one of the best BBQ guys I’ve ever seen. Highly impressed with bark, the tenderness of the meat, being so diverse using different meats than you would normally do to stay kosher, staying up to the high standards of being kosher and adjusting seasoning due to it. Absolutely amazing to watch such a pro work his magic
His brisket trim is VERY meh. Ill say that.
Look at all those high points...
Please tell us tye high standards of being kosher?
Slitting an animals throat instead of more modern humane ways. Lol
@@oldironsides4107 Actually, you are quite wrong about the "modern" methods. Killing livestock using shockers, or other "quick" methods actually ruins the meat, because of the shock under which the animal is killed. Slicing the throat, if done properly, in fact neutralizes any sensory, and the animal does not go into shock.
There are also many more things involved, but that is a long story.

By far the best spot in Brooklyn!
I’ve been to Izzy’s multiple times and each visit tops the prior. The food is absolutely delicious and the restaurant is smack in the middle of the buzzing Hasidic community. It is a must for those inclined to enjoy a sumptuous culinary and cultural experience.

One of the best briskets there is. Nothing in life is better
I heard about this place before but never made the effort to try it. But after seeing this presentation, I will be checking it out soon.
Thanks for including the kosher definitions. There's a lot of mystery and misinformation about kosher animals and kosher slaughter, when it just translates to "healthy animals killed with minimal suffering".
If Christians were doing it it would've already been called barbaric and forbidden.
Nobody cares

Wow I've never seen a kosher BBQ place like this
Looks high quality.
Got respect for this guy. Stayed true to his roots and he’s clearly reaping the benefits of that. You don’t have to go “Full Austin” if you want to sell bbq in America. So many cultures have a history of smoking meat at low temperatures.
This is VERY true. Some SE guys (carolinas) claim to have invented bbq...and say, "if it isnt pork, it isnt cue..."
Claiming to be the inventors. Because slaves moved there. And they took it from slaves. Which, just that sentence alone makes my head hurt.
But people have been smoking meat since before recorded history.
No one "invented" bbq. Its a culmination of neccessity and culture.
Which is why its so diverse.
Now, that said. I love central Texas bbq. But its not even the end all be all in TEXAS.
Like 5+ different types of bbq in this state alone. All inspired from different cultures. And all worthy of a Taste.
If everyone just did post oak, salt, pepper...itd be a very BORING existence.
Cheers! 🍻
@@firghteningtruth7173 Texas BBQ claims to come from German and Bohemian/Czech meat smoking traditions. Cooking meat slowly over indirect heat from charcoal and wood smoke and slowly roasting meat is found everywhere.
