the best Aussie barbecue is a Bunnings sausage, with onions on top.
Not even ever under neath a sausage the onions are always a Aussie tradition to have onions on top of the sausages
best comment so far
This man knows!!!!
Spot on mate 👏😎
Sliced bread as well, not a fancy hot dog bun.
An Aussie Sausage is a Woolworths beef sausage served on white bread outside of a hardware store, Onions optional, ketchup and mustard also optional. $2.00 for the food item, $1.00 extra for the can of soft drink. If any non Aussie thinks this is strange, it’s a cultural thing.
I miss Bunnings sausage sizzles lol
That’s true. Snag lol.
Can't beat bunnings snags
It’s not you’re a confided clown
In the US we have hotdogs and other things sold like that outside Home Depot and other hardware stores. I usually get something
Great to see some Aussies going so well in the American bbq scene.
It's so nice hearing aussies talk about food, brings some national pride. Maybe try to incorporate some native stuff like finger lime and salt bush.
These hipster flogs wouldn't know what that is. All they know about food they learned from Seppo cultural hegemony.
@@hoilst You seem like a real positive person
@@hoilst just making yourself seem like the flog mate
@@hoilst Hi Mate, don't think your comments are necessary here. You can bring those somewhere else
OK I had various questions about this whole exchange in the above comments so I took the time to look it up.
finger lime = a small underbrush or tree with edible fruit that looks like caviar with citrus-y flavor
salt bush = a native australian bush, with edible seeds and leaves
flog = pretentious, conceited or foolish
Seppo = something or someone of American origin, often used in a derogatory manner
You’re spoiling those yanks mate! Nice job guys.
I love the concept of "lucky sausage." "You got it, the sausage that's bigger than a regular one, b/c meat doesn't come in integer sizes. Have an extra big dinner, or take home an extra snack."
:D
I've gotten 2 lucky sausages in my years going there. Fav spot by far in south jersey
lucky sausage is the name of my ding ding.

and there is a channel on youtube called “Living Waters” and if you’re a human being i’m sure you can relate to it somehow! so you should hear the message and listen to both sides because he talks with other people. God bless you in the name above all names, Jesus Christ the Son of the living God.
I didn’t know there was a Bunnings on the Jersey Shore.
that fried cauliflower went through some process huh. First boiled with aromatics, then smoked, then fried. Youd never guess if it was served in front of you lol
It is so weird hearing an Aussie guy using pounds as a measurement and saying cilantro.
Should he say cumin?
@@JOHN.hennry coriander
And saying shrimp as well
@@ld5382 PRAWNS
I just wanna say as an aussie, literally no one says cumin like that
"Can't just boil cauliflower in water and expect it to taste good" - said nobody in Germany, ever. 😂
Especially my Mom. 😅 "Kind, des is de gude süß Blumenkohl von Opa! Da willste net wirklich noch ne Soß draufmachen?!"
@@wifipigeon01 I am a proud Australian German born citizen in Australia here by my German immigrant only biological father I absolutely loved German foods when I was growing up in Australia here the White cabbage and and the purple cabbage I absolutely loved German sausages and I loved German mustard and Oktoberfest in Australia here I absolutely loved German Christmas Eve and in Australia here I always wanted to go to Germany to see my heritage on my dad side my oma and opa roots in Germany
You have to understand that the farming standards in the US are pretty horrible and so most of the food accessible to the majority of the populace is quite bland compared to a lot of European countries.
@@cameronheidelauf9623 😊
@SuWoopSparrow that's not true. Stop lying.
Yes mate..well done bringing the "Ocker" to the table...Lived up in Byron in the 70's and all we could afford for our weekend BBQ's was snags..and boy did we all love them with some Toohey's.
Their dessert is a “cornbread” Lamington. 😆 That’s definitely a BBQ joint spin on a classic cake. 👍
The work put into the cauliflower - I knew it was going to be good when it went into the smoker. But damn they finished it in the fryer for a crisp finish! Gna be good!
As soon as he said cilantro, he lost his Aussie card.
Should he say cumin?
@@JOHN.hennry in aus, cilantro is called coriander
@@timothym1532 lol that’s right. I meant that, not cumin.
@@timothym1532 in basically every other english speaking country bar the US you mean?
That’s what it’s called in the US, I moved here a couple of years ago from Australia and that’s what I call it here, it’s called assimilating.
"Shrimp Toast"
What have they done to you fellas?
Born in NYC, but raised in the Wildwoods, good to hear about another place to get great food. Place was packed with delicious options. I'm in Copenhagen now, but I still miss Piro's and Alfe's, Beach Creek, Bonelli's Market (sandwiches on another level). Mouth is watering now. Must eat....
That shrimp wurst really got me thinking. That would be great here in Hamburg, Germany.. I love the experimentation and passion. Great stuff guys. Can't wait to try some!!
This was a very interesting and mouth watering watch! It was really fun listening to them talk about their passions.
You guys are dope. Love the passion and depth of thought you put in to the products you create. Best wishes
Fried cauliflower with slice of grilled haloumi would be awesome.
Just sprinkle some chopped coriander and a squeeze of lime over those shrimp sausages. Should be good.
the snag might not be what youd get at bunnings but the onions+dead horse is a spot on
Snag needs to come on white sliced, folded diagonally
@@JonWilsonDr not wrong, a real snag should be served on the cheapest white bread you can find
@@tally_mon7587 Coles brand white bread... That's my go to for snags.
@@thornstrikesback my is ALDI white sandwich loafs when I have sausages and hotdogs
@@cameronheidelauf9623 oh yeah.... that is great bread too.... good call.
I love this so much! Don't get me wrong, BBQ meat is awesome. But to see these guys finding a use for all their scraps and making some great veggies is all kinds of fantastic. Let's see more of this innovation to make vegetables comfort food
Agree, we need more tasty vegetable dishes for those that are avoiding them due to tasteless salads. healthier diet
looks absolutely phenomenal
These guys are great. Love it!
Best BBQ I’ve tasted! Keep up the good work legends!
I’m a Texan and we are bbq snobs , but I’d love to try this place it looks very good .
um... the cooking and care here is genuine. Thank you for representing Australia in such an authentic and caring way. :)
everything looks so delicious!!!
Looks amazing guys, keep up the hard work.
Wildwoods BBQ is the best! And right by the beach
These guys do a great job!!
All of that looked amazing
Good on ya fellas..Killing it !

Those guys are legit. My favourite video yet
OMG that food looks amazeballs. Bravo.
Most amount of effort I’ve see ina a snag
Mate look into bunninhs sausage sizzle l. National staple
I just love the idea of "well, we've succeeded in Melbourne / Sydney, but how to know we've really made it? Wildwood here we come baby!"
Love the shrimp sausage experiment.
2:39 I've never heard someone describe a brisket as "aerodynamic" xD
nice to see aussies featured here doing well
Wow these guy’s are the real deal.. I’d love to see this level of bbq in Surrey England.
Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi.
Boys, if you freeze your flavored sauce for the snags into cubes and grind in with the meat it emulsified much better. Tip from a 30 years of butchering and sausage making
Thank you so much for sharing this video ☺️☺️☺️☺️📸📸📸📸
Love your food and video watching 👀 from Philippines 🇵🇭
As an Aussie yeah na, these lads are going hard, oath keep it up from QLD
Good on you mate!! Go go Aussies!! 🙌😎
Best smoked BBQ in South Jersey are the two brothers with the pop up tent in the liquor store parking lot every weekend on RTE 332
Those shrimp sausages sound amazing.
Damn. I’m just a few hours away from this place. Will visit soon.
“Lucky Sausage” really love the Aussie slang…(sometimes).
I'm not convinced that counts as slang...
"Lucky snag" would be the slang
You've got some roos loose in your top paddock if you think "lucky sausage" for an actual sausage is "slang". "Budgie smugglers" is slang, a lucky sausage needs to have similar meaning to become slang
Looks delicious! Especially coming from the armpit of America..
New Jersey
Wow~lt looks delicious, l like it! 🙈
excited to hear about this as we are in philly. see yous soon
I’m from Texas. As soon as he took out the cauliflower I was done watching.
thanks for answering a question nobody asked
I’m loving this for you kings
Not even 30 seconds in and I can get behind my mans who said he’s always been obsessed with mushrooms
I know this feeling, too, Mr. Dong
Those snags looked killer bit a chilli in em would be perfection...
👌👌👌
If i got the lucky sausage i would feel like a King rest of day
shrimp toast is a dark horse for one of the best plate in yum cha haha
I live in south jersey and I’ll be going really soon!!
I’m obsessed with mushrooms too 😉
It’s so interesting & fascinating that America & Australia have very similar passions when it comes to food, and how innovative both countries are, especially with Barbecue.
Don't be fooled mate this is a very slightly Australian themed American BBQ.
We dont have nearly as much passion for food as America, if anything they are amongst the highest in the world for passion for food while we are likely amongst the lowest. You're talking about a country where our BBQ is essentially sasusages cooked on an outdoor hotplate, while we celebrate birthdays with $5 cakes from the supermarket, and our only food inventions are dank crap like fairy bread and lamingtons. If you're american, you should know that outback steakhouse is entirely american food but with an aussie decor.
@@SmellsLikeNirvanna You sound pretty contradictory with that comment
@@mattpennington7068 Don’t matter, because it’s all about what we share, not about differences between one & the other.
USA and Aussie bbq is trash my guy. I’m in America and can for sure say bbq here sucks
Love from 🇬🇧🇧🇩🇦🇺
these guys talk like theyve watched masterchef Australia all their lives. if he drives up to ny, might as well open a place up in north jersey. we need more bbq joints!
Prawn snags, nice one boys.
On ya boys keep up the good work
Damn you eater, I needed to know about these guys last month when I was in New York. Would had definitely tried them out!
those assuages look so meek I almost died just watching them make them!
“it’s gonna be aerodynamic and almost looks like a spaceship” never heard that one about meat before, i liek it
great video.
2:10, this guy is machine, look at that steam and he just hold it bare-handedly and ate it!
Finally a BBQ spot that has vegeterian/vegan friendly items!!
Just YUMMY
How have I lived in south Jersey all my life, and I’ve never heard of this place before?
looks good
Quick note, can you turn down the volume on the censoring beep in the furture? That kinda hurt
the way he says “shallots “. Love it !
This is why Australians are just the best
Yeah you muppet the daily news sais so

Good jobs boys
Awesome food
Yeah boys give em those ozzy flavors,,,,,Up the Lads, chur boys from new Zealand ✌🏖🇳🇿🍺🤘

Boyysss why are the snags in a hotdog roll?
I get it's a restaurant so gotta be fancy, but gotta serve our culture on that plate, white sliced bread all day every day
i feel like rolls taste so much better
White bread in America is terrible. Like eating sponge cake.
@@itsthatbeeguy so much sugar willy wonka gets jealous 😂

It's not bunnings mate, they do have to consider local tastes to some degree.
Where in wildwood is this never seen this place and work there every summer. So I def need to try this place
FINALLY
Another restaurant video!
Thank you Eater!
Super experience
can you also add the metric system KG/meter/etc ? people outside of the US don't use inches/pounds/feet
Exactly, Australia uses metric, these guys use metric.
