I’m happy to be wrong and it didn’t take away from enjoying the video at all, so if you’re more familiar with this creator lmk if this is a normal thing for her. To me it read like she wrote the script after watching it at least once, probably with some research too.
@@XIN3OHd Since I enjoyed the video and said so, I don't see how that kind of speculation has any relevance except as a way to try to spoil my enjoyment.
@@XIN3OHd she definitely doesn't do that. Some people are just good at guessing plot. Seems rude to comment that on someone else's comment of how much they enjoyed the video. Yeah I watched a different reaction right before this and it felt like she missed all the important details and would let the movie running while she talked for several seconds, so she definitely missed important details. I much prefer someone who catches on quick and processes what’s going on, I’m usually the same
@@XIN3OHd I think it depends on the person, I’m pretty sure I caught on to a lot of details when I first watched this movie, and tend to when watching other movies for the first time, I think her guesses were perfectly reasonable if the person watching is observant, clever, and good at recognizing foreshadowing and typical plot tropes
This is Agatha Christie level mystery. It is so well done, built up piece by piece, makes you question everyone. Then makes you requestion them. And makes you question yourself questioning them. Everyone does so good. Daniel Craig with the Southern Gentleman accent is just too good. Anna just kills it every time she is on screen. And I love how calm and unworried he is about his impending death. "Oh that's much less. No pressure. I really gotta write this down, I could use it in a book." lol. And how he cares for her like the child he wishes he had. He wouldn't die to save any of his own, but her he does.
Fun fact, the man who read the will is Frank Oz. He's the voice and puppeteer for Yoda, and he puppeted several Muppet and Sesame Street characters. He's also directed some great movies like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Little Shop of Horrors, and the British Death at a Funeral (
Frank Oz usually has minor but memorable roles in films, usually reading off a list. He was the guy returning Jake's belongings when he was being released from prison at the beginning of The Blues Brothers ("One Timex watch, broken, ...), and played a similar role in Trading Places, when Louis was being booked after his arrest.
This was such an amazing movie. And when Blanc said that he knew it was her right from the beginning, if you look at the scene when Blanc first meets Marta, he looks down at her shoes, pauses, and then continues talking. So good
Christopher Plummer was spectacular in this film. He carried such a rich performance in such a relatively small window of time. The depth of his care for Marta and the sadness he felt at being so disappointed at his family was palpable, and really sets up the stakes for everything that comes after. Thanks for reminding me how much I loved this movie.
I absolutely love the casting for Ransom, since we all know Chris Evans as Captain America we feel naturally inclined to trust him, thus causing the audience to be tricked as easily as Marta :D
It had the opposite effect on me! When I saw how little he initially was in the movie I thought “naw they didn’t just hire Chris evans to play that small of a role, he’s gotta be the bad guy”
@@pandabread2501 But that's the brilliance of having such a stacked cast - you could say that of any of them. They didn't just hire Toni Collette / Jamie Lee Curtis / Michael Shannon/ etc. to play that small of a role, or did they???
This is one of those movies you can just throw on anytime you don't know what to watch (after you've already seen it). And knowing how it unfolds doesn't harm the enjoyment at all, and that's the biggest compliment you can give a murder mystery movie
I love that Natalie literally predicted the exact opposite for the sequel: ONLY Benoit Blanc returns. It’s like classic Agatha Christie, where the recurring character is the investigator.
One of my favorite movies! The directing was astonoshingly good and the attention to details from the mentions of fake knives to the painting changing emotions are amazing.
I've been waiting for this! This movie is so intricately written, you could watch it multiple times just to catch all the setups and payoffs, and then you could watch it a couple more times with the sound off just because of how gorgeous and well-shot it is.
I loved Glass Onion almost as much as Knives Out, but thats tough to match. It shakes up the mystery genre in the same way that the first one did without seeming like a retread. Can't wait til I can rewatch it for Christmas
the DP on this film (among other Rian Johnson films) has developed an entire library of digital film effects that perfectly mimic some of the more desirable qualities of analog film. this entire movie was shot digitally but it looks like real film because of the warm rich light that pervades the house
It’s so entertaining yet nerve wracking to show this movie to friends. I always catch a detail that gives away the twist early and I’m worried they’ll catch it but they never do.
This was so much fun to see again, your reactions were hilarious. I cant believe you waited so long to watch this! Clue (1985). One of my Favorite movies. It has an amazing cast. Eileen Brennan · Tim Curry · Madeline Kahn · Christopher Lloyd · Michael McKean · Martin Mull · Lesley Ann Warren. There are so many comments about watching Clue & I completely agree. Highly recommend it
My absolute favorite part about this movie is the way i saw it. It was my freshman year of college and they always would have free movie showings on our campus theater. I decided to go to this on a random friday night thinking itd be empty because everyone was out partying. the theater was actually packed over capacity and people were sitting on the floor and stuff. And *everybody* was so in tune with the movie, laughing at the jokes, cheering at some of the bigger moments, etc. It was so fun because of how many twists and turns there are in this movie. Its so tightly written and gets so much engagement from the viewer. Of course seeing big movies like Infinity War and Endgame on opening night is always a blast but something just felt so much more “communal” that night, like everybody was vibing on the same wavelength. Its probably my favorite theater experience ever
For the holidays I can't recommend Klaus enough. It is an amazing Christmas movie that I would love to see your reaction to. Its on Netflix and has some A class talent in it. From the new animation style to the amazing characters.it is honestly my favorite Christmas movie

I like how intelligently written the script was. It was so highly organized and well thought. Everyone did a good job. Nice reaction Nat. Please react to Clue, you'll like it.
This movie was so clever. I got to see Glass Onion in theaters and really enjoyed it. Another star-studded cast of dubious characters. I'm looking forward to it releasing on Netflix.
Our first house when I was a young child was next to a house of similar size and style as the one in this movie. The big house was a boarding house and the lady who owned it had a daughter close to our age. It was a cool house to play hide and seek in because it had tiny back hallways that the servants used back in the day. It had a tower section too. The house I lived in was the servants’ quarters at one point.
This film is brilliant; I'm still so surprised at how many people I know that have not seen it or heard that much about it. This is a top tier crafted film on all levels, and a blast to watch.
Nat’s best videos (in my opinion) are the ones that she enjoys from beginning to end. This reaction reminds me of how much fun she had watching Pirates of the Caribbean. I enjoy watching her enjoy herself!😁 I saw the Glass Onion trailer when I saw Wakanda Forever. I’m looking forward to Nat’s reaction to both.
There are a lot of moments in this movie that make it worth a second watch. Things like Harlan describing Ransom as someone that can't tell a real knife from a prop one, the two bottles having different amounts of liquid (as one uses more per dose, a hint that she did give the right meds), or the dogs barking when Ransom first appears after it being mentioned that the dogs were barking the night of the "murder."
My grandmother is a big agatha christie fan. So when they visited a few years ago I took them to see this in theaters. She loved it. This is the type of movie that all generations can really enjoy on the same level.
I actually recently rewatched this and it definitely holds up the second time around. Especially after kind of forgetting just how genius a lot of it is. 10/10 arguably a perfect movie
I was in the cinema unaccompanied but it was a blast. The audience were really loud from time to time. But in a good way. No talking or commenting, just lots of laughter and cheering.
I love the details and the fact that you pick up more details the more you watch the movie again. One thing I didn't fully realize until now is that Mr. Thrombey was preparing everything for when he dies. He had completely the most important parts of what he wanted to do so when Marta thought she overdosed him and he would die, it was okay with it and ended himself as to not get Marta in trouble and complete his plan.
The piano key is one of the fun details which is not obvious on first viewing. When Benoit Blanc plays a note, it is a cue for the detective. Notice he always asks when they arrived at the party so Blanc can build the sequence of events while staying a “passive observer” for a while.
This movie really is so much fun. Evans and Craig just really crushed it. Also, I love how much you notice upon multiple rewatches: SPOILING BELOW Blanc: "the game is afoot" and says he noticed the blood on Marta's shoe The dogs barking that night, and they bark at Ransom Wanetta saying "back again" A growler missing at Ransom's place Harlan: *regarding Ransom* "he can't tell the difference between a stage prop and a real knife" and many more!
Yaaay so happy you’re watching this one!! It’s become a seasonal tradition to watch this with my family. My parents are super excited to watch Glass Onion.
I think ne reason this movie is recommended for family things like holidays is because its inspired by the style of Agatha Christie. and the appeal to her work is intergenerational, She is mine and my dads favourite author and she was my grandma's favourite as well. I watched this movie with my dad and we both thought my Abue would have really liked it too.
Natalie, the reason Meg hung up on Marta after asking her to give the money back, was because she could tell Marta wasn’t going to give it back. So she had no more reason to keep talking to her.
this is one of my favorites movies of all time, and i really recommend you to rewatch it knowing everything that happened. the amount of foreshadowing and hidden clues is insane (one can actually tell ransom was involved in his first appearance if they pay enough attention) and there's even full subplots told just by background details. it just gets better and more fun every time i watch it
This reaction was everything I hoped it would be. I love cinema and it's so much fun to watch someone that both enjoys and laughs her ass off, and has the know and the smarts to understand all kinds of details, both in the story and the production (also, your insights on mental health are on point and that's a big deal to me). I'm a huge fan, so thanks for all the content and I hope you keep at it for a good while 💪🏽
As an Agatha Christie's fan since I learnt how to read, I absolutely loved this movie. The ambiance, the cast, the sound design... Everything is perfect.
I completely forgot how good the writing in this movie was. I really wished I went out to watch it in the theaters when it came out but man rewatching and finding out the twist after all this time is crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Nat, I've always loved watching your reactions but I've never laughed this much at one of your reactions NOT EVEN TEN MINUTES IN! I love your enthusiasm with this flick! Thank you for existing!
Fun Fact: In real life, Harlin is actually older than the lady who played his mom. And part where Jacob yells at Marta about sleeping with his grandfather, that wasn't originally in the script but Michael Shannon convinced the director to let them keep it. I love how the camera is shaking when they all leave the house trying to confront Marta.
Rian Johnson is a really good director and has a love for mystery/noir films. If you wanna check out another film he made similar to 'Knives Out', I recommend his very first film 'Brick'. It's also Joseph Gordon-Levitt's first role. Dialogue is a bit odd, but it's also pretty fun to watch and there are some really cool shots in there.
Good on your pointing out he wasn't effected by the morphine yet, that's the second clue it wasn't morphine. Youre very smart dont let anyone think otherwise And I really hope to see more of Marta and the old man together in more movies, they have a great chemistry. It's weird old men and young women relationships are usually so much fun
I love when Harlem mentions during their game that not everyone is very perceptive and can’t tell the difference between a real knife and a fake one. And then Ransom can’t tell the difference at the end. So many clever moments!
This is one of my most favorite films. The cinematic choices made were just *chef's kiss*. It's also definitely a re-watchable movie. I especially love watching it with someone who hasn't seen it yet.
Daniel Craig completely blows it out of the park, i think his acting in this and glass onion is just perfect and works so well for the type of work this is, IDK why i expected less but he is my favourite parts of the 2 movies
A cool thing about the movie is that Harlan says something about ransom not being able to tell the difference between a real knife and a knife prop which leads to him grabbing the prop and “stabbing” Marta with it. I’m not familiar with this channel by any means, but to me it seems like she had prior knowledge, it was a little too pat how she offhandedly guessed stuff.
You're entitled to your opinion, but why direct it at someone other than the creator and bring down their joy at watching the video?
Agatha Christie is in the sequel, when Blanc is playing Among Us she is in his party.
@@Greenteabook Agatha Christie died 47 years ago
The double genre switch works so damn well. It goes from a who-done-it to a thriller back to a who-done-it.
More like "from whodunnit to howcatchum and back".
Coming out of seeing him so much as Captain America, it was cool seeing Chris Evans in this role.
He was really happy to play a 'dirtbag' after being Steve Rogers for so long.
It was the perfect casting. So many people in the audience were thinking oh it couldn’t be him. He’s Cap!
I got to _that_ scene, and all I could think was "Language!" 😅🤣😂🤣😂😅
Lmaooo Nat’s existential crisis that she might be like the Thrombys over the Hamilton line has me in stitches 😂💀
Let’s face it. We’ve all been there! 🤦
Fun fact, the man who read the will is Frank Oz. He's the voice and puppeteer for Yoda, and he puppeted several Muppet and Sesame Street characters. He's also directed some great movies like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Little Shop of Horrors, and the British Death at a Funeral (
Man turns up in the damndest places.
What About Bob? is my personal favourite directorial effort of his.
Grover and Yoda! He became friends with Rian Johnson during Last Jedi. Man is a legend.
Frank Oz usually has minor but memorable roles in films, usually reading off a list. He was the guy returning Jake's belongings when he was being released from prison at the beginning of The Blues Brothers ("One Timex watch, broken, ...), and played a similar role in Trading Places, when Louis was being booked after his arrest.
he's the voice of Miss Piggy idk how you could leave that off the list lol
The ending shot of Marta looking down on the entire family had me laughing so hard
"This is a strange case with a hole in its center. A donut." - Benoit Blanc, 2019.
My personal theory is that Benoit was really hungry at the moment, and food made its way into every thought. We've all had times like that. 😁
Watching Clue is the right thing to do for us, and the best gift to yourself.
Amen
*Absolutely!*
I absolutely love the casting for Ransom, since we all know Chris Evans as Captain America we feel naturally inclined to trust him, thus causing the audience to be tricked as easily as Marta :D
the switch-up at the end had maximum impact because of that implicit trust we had in chris evans.
See for those of us they knew Evans before he was Cap...it's a return to form. Evans used to always play the Jock bully, womanizer etc.
@@LaughingOwlKiller He was hilarious in Scott Pilgrim vs The World.
The coolest detail on rewatch is seeing Blanc look at Marta's shoes and notice the blood on her shoe from the moment they first meet
This is an all time reaction for you. This was just great. “I saw it at the public” had me dying !
Natalie has a great brand. So much mirth and personality. I hope the rest of her life is as joyful as her movie reactions.
Me: Remembering all the reactions where she cries 👀
Maybe specify reactions to comedies? 😉
Btw, the piano key is to tell the cop to ask the same question to everyone, one of the many things you catch on rewatches.
The director commentary for this is GOLD, you would love it. Great way to rewatch the film!
I highly recommend Clue, absolutely incredible cast and such a fun premise!
This was unexpectedly one of the best times I had in a theater. I went with my brother and didn't know what to expect, and walked away having seen one of the most entertaining and well-crafted films I'd watched in a long time. I cannot wait to catch Glass Onion on NF.
I can't believe you haven't seen Clue. Please, please, please add it to your watch list soon. You would love it. Also, you should definitely watch it before seeing the The Glass Onion (Knives Out sequel), because...reasons.
The combination of feeling like a classic and entirely original at the same time is quite unique. This was a breath of fresh air among movies lately :)
Such a fantastic movie. The interview scene with the different family members kills me every time. And the “good nurse” bit gets me in the feels, too.
Oh my gosh yes! It's so sweet, I love it!
Love Klaus!
OMG yes, I love Klaus, definetly turning into a christmas tradition/classic for me
100% this! Been trying to bring it up to as many people as possible!
This movie was great. Went into it without any expectation other than it having an awesome cast. I need to watch Glass Onion now.
I feel like this is a younger sister film for Clue (which, if you haven’t watched yet, omg… IT’S A MUST SEE!!!).
Edit: as soon as I got through typing this comment, you said you haven’t seen Clue! Please, please, please do yourself and all of us a favor and watch it soon!
I concur! Get Clue on the polls (or just watch it outright cause it will win eventually).
I like how intelligently written the script was. It was so highly organized and well thought. Everyone did a good job. Nice reaction Nat. Please react to Clue, you'll like it.
This was one of my favorite movies of the last 10 years. Great performances. So much subtlety in the writing. Such a cathartic ending!
Since you really loved this movie, you should consider watching Clue! It’s hilarious with stacked cast and fun twists
C'mon, everyone likes golden retrievers, right? 😄 This reaction was so much fun Nat 🤗
They're German Shepherds! 😂😂
This film is brilliant; I'm still so surprised at how many people I know that have not seen it or heard that much about it.
This is a top tier crafted film on all levels, and a blast to watch.
It's amazing how far Ana De Armas English has come since her first appearance. She's so talented
Nat’s best videos (in my opinion) are the ones that she enjoys from beginning to end. This reaction reminds me of how much fun she had watching Pirates of the Caribbean. I enjoy watching her enjoy herself!😁
I saw the Glass Onion trailer when I saw Wakanda Forever. I’m looking forward to Nat’s reaction to both.
There are a lot of moments in this movie that make it worth a second watch. Things like Harlan describing Ransom as someone that can't tell a real knife from a prop one, the two bottles having different amounts of liquid (as one uses more per dose, a hint that she did give the right meds), or the dogs barking when Ransom first appears after it being mentioned that the dogs were barking the night of the "murder."
i love how they did this movie with the storytelling and the cinematography was just amazing
DUDE, NATALIE, YOUR VIBRATO IS SO GOOD! Much love, a classically trained Gold Nugget vocalist!
My grandmother is a big agatha christie fan. So when they visited a few years ago I took them to see this in theaters. She loved it. This is the type of movie that all generations can really enjoy on the same level.
You would absolutely love the Clue movie.
What I love is something Marta says to Ransom: "I couldn't do this without you." That's more true than she even knows.
I actually recently rewatched this and it definitely holds up the second time around. Especially after kind of forgetting just how genius a lot of it is. 10/10 arguably a perfect movie
I saw this movie in theaters with my whole family and we all loved it!
I was in the cinema unaccompanied but it was a blast.
The audience were really loud from time to time. But in a good way. No talking or commenting, just lots of laughter and cheering.
Among my top films of the past few years. I'm especially excited to share it with you. This will be fun! Thanks. Here we go! :)
Also, I love how much you notice upon multiple rewatches:
SPOILING BELOW
Blanc: "the game is afoot" and says he noticed the blood on Marta's shoe
The dogs barking that night, and they bark at Ransom
Wanetta saying "back again"
A growler missing at Ransom's place
Harlan: *regarding Ransom* "he can't tell the difference between a stage prop and a real knife"
and many more!
Yaaay so happy you’re watching this one!! It’s become a seasonal tradition to watch this with my family. My parents are super excited to watch Glass Onion.
This whole movie is a classic and I can't wait for the next one
So much fun! Excited for your Glass Onion reaction too! It'll be on Netflix at Christmas! They only did a 1 week limited theatrical run....
Christmas Tv isn’t my favourite! We plan to watch Glass Onion on Christmas Day
Clue! You should definitely watch that one; it's a comedy classic, with a simply stellar cast.
“There has been a murder in this office”
“A murder you say? I do declare”
Not usually a fan of reaction videos but it's absolutely delightful watching someone learn about a movie I love so much for the first time.
Unexpected and extremely accepted, one of my favorite movies ever.
I was so happy to see this in the theaters. It was a blast of a story
I hate that Glass Onion isn't in theaters anywhere except NA, because I never got to see the first one in theaters
Glass Onion is SO GOOD you guys. Can't wait for Natalie to see it. In the meantime, it's so great to revisit the original, which is just as good!
Good on your pointing out he wasn't effected by the morphine yet, that's the second clue it wasn't morphine. Youre very smart dont let anyone think otherwise
And I really hope to see more of Marta and the old man together in more movies, they have a great chemistry. It's weird old men and young women relationships are usually so much fun
I love when Harlem mentions during their game that not everyone is very perceptive and can’t tell the difference between a real knife and a fake one. And then Ransom can’t tell the difference at the end. So many clever moments!
You're such an active observer. Always seeing themes and making connections. It's great.
This is one of those gems that a lot of people missed. I heard that Glass onion is just as good so I'm really pumped to watch it also.
I have a friend who worked on Glass Onion and said it was an amazing cast and experience. Glad you enjoyed this movie.
This movie was so well done. You, I, and many more enjoyed it. No complaints.
I loved how they all talked about how Marta was family but they each one had said she was from a different country each time
I been waiting for Natalie to react to knives out!!!! Happy holidays everyone!
A cool thing about the movie is that Harlan says something about ransom not being able to tell the difference between a real knife and a knife prop which leads to him grabbing the prop and “stabbing” Marta with it. So many things that lead to the end sprinkled within the movie. One of my favorite movies ever.
"I'm not playing to beat you, I'm playing to build a beautiful pattern."
My favourite moment in this movie is the first time Benoit sees Marta. He looks down at her shoes the first moment he sees her. The details are SO GOOD.
One of my all time favorite movies of all time, in all of time.
This movie is a masterpiece on so many levels, me and my family are addicted to it and it’s a family tradition to watch it every Christmas lol
It tricks you so well into thinking yo know what’s going on and only with the final reveal it all actually comes together, it’s crazy
This movie is so amazing to watch even after knowing the answers bc it’s just so well done and it always pulls you back in
Also the visuals and vibes are just so well done, it’s so pleasing to look at
