Corsa kits are designed individually for each vehicle that they are released for unlike Flowmaster where its just the same muffler sold at AutoZone and a piece of tubing. I have a Corsa cat back on my 6.2L Raptor and compared to both my friends who have Flowmasters on their Silverados and my friend with a Flowmaster system on his F150, my truck is the loudest on start up, loudest at full throttle, is the quietest when cruising with zero drone at all (and mine doesn't have the resonator), and actually changes its tone and aggression depending on rpm instead of just being so deep it hurts. Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly fine with a Flowmaster but if you want actual sound quality Corsa blows them out of the water.

If you guys are going to keep telling everyone it's a big block (which it's not because of the bore spacing), people want to actually hear it. For as quiet as it is, the fact that you got dual tips, and the price of what you did, you should run true dual exhaust, 2.5 piping (because it's not a big block with 3" piping coming off of the exhaust manifolds), an H or X pipe to balance out each side, and two Flowmaster Super 40 Series mufflers. The Super 40 series mufflers have large internals for larger engines and give a deep muscle car sound without all the spit. If you guys were gonna do what you did, the 50 series H.D. muffler is what you should have used. The muffler you have is to quieten down big engines that don't have a stock muffler anymore and people want to be quiet, like say a tow truck or motorhome.

You know its a good muffler when your muffler guy looks at the Flowmaster part number and tells you, oh........this is a quiet muffler while nodding his head smiling. Thats what happened when I showed up at my muffler guys shop with my F150 and wanted to get a Flowmaster 50 Series delta flow installed. I cant remember the last time I spent so much time researching how loud and not droney it would be. Its a catback style just like the one you guys put in this video and sounds so goood. Mellow and not noticeable until youre really on it or revving the sh*t out of it and it pop pops too! Good stuff doods

Diesels are definitely the way to go if you’re pulling heavy loads all the time. But they seem to develop issues when you use them for daily drivers with lots of stop and go driving which I do. They cost about $8,000 more than the 7.3 though. No DEF and maintenance is cheaper on gasser engines. The Rams definitely have a nicer interior for sure. I’m stilling liking the Ford 7.3 more than the Ram 6.4 because it produces its high torque at such a low RPM like I said. It’s 10 speed and 4.30 rear end sounds like a good fit for hauling my 3500 pound camper around. Hell Im even a Ram guy currently. They apparently engineered this engine for its big trucks as well and built to last for the long haul.

You could actually use a dual in/dual out super 40 series. If you're not using one of the first 7 mufflers on Flowmasters chart from the loud side, your wasting your time. Imo, you might as well left it stock.

With the size of the stock pipes, that's a good idea and more budget friendly. I'd just replace the muffler and straight pipe both resonators. It amazing how much those small resonators quiet the exhaust. I have a 04 Navigator with the 4V 5.4, & originally I just cut out the muffler & welded in a magnaflow, and I was a bit disappointed to say the least. Then I cut out the resonator that sits right in front of the tailpipe and straight piped it and wow it sounds much better.

I've had a couple trucks using the 50 series flowmaster.. Love the sound of that.

"That was very interesting." The truck was louder on start up then quieted when resting idle was reached. Just like every other truck.... AMAZING!!!!!

@@adrianszugye5929 no, the only reason people say not to put to big of exhaust is for proper exhaust scavenging. When you make it to big it slows the velocity of the exhaust and actually making it flow less.

I got a fairly similar job done, but kept it 1 3” in & out. Very happy with how the extra deeper notes change up the truck. If you’re looking for exhaust work and you live near annapolis maryland look into Maryland Muffler, they’re based in I believe Crownsville and Vince and the guys there are awesome people and work quickly but diligently.

As a tuning shop owner - ie, someone who does this a lot - here's my 2 cents nobody asked for:
Flowmasters have a distinct sound that is really unique, but that delta flow chamber sacrifices a lot of flow - which translates into less hp gained on the dyno. So unless the customer just really wants "that flowmaster sound" I don't use them.
I sell pretty much every brand, but for me there are 2 constant, known quantities: If the customer wants max performance but not a lot of sound volume, Magnaflow is always my recommendation. Can be a little pricey at times but great quality and always top performance.
If the customer is more price-conscious and/or wants a more aggressive sound, then it's MBRP. They're pretty much a race product and usually a lower priced option, which is perfect for some people. I say "some" because MBRP tends to be holy-fishsticks-that's-LOUD. I run an MBRP cat-back / side exit system on my personal truck (2018 F150 Coyote) and forget "aggressive," the word to describe it is "violent." But the truck also runs the 1/4 mile in 13.5 @101.9, so like a lot of choices in life you have to decide what's most important to you.

Exactly! Just for credibility reasons. I spent quite a good amount of time in flow dynamics class with Chrysler and with the aircraft company I work for.
