When she talked about this rendition she said something to the effect that she was looking for something to do so she went to her piano to play with the song. Her playing with the song created an artistic masterpiece. This is not a song it is art. Created with vibrations, harmonics and resonance that paints your soul.

Im also 60 and agree!! Of all the music I've been exposed to, it had it's place and time! I rarely GO back to it because I need something new to experience! This girl does that for me ! When I found her in 2014 at the age of seven I was blown away by the talent she showed! GO ANGELINA JORDAN !!!!!

Someone must have said "Hey Angie, why not see how much angst you can infuse into a song". She said "OK I'll try" and she came up with this. Good grief! She has come up with some really remarkable covers and her originals are mind blowing.
This cover is a sheer masterpiece she is the only artist I know that needs little to no music because she is the music she immerses herself into the song a paints a picture with her voice.

Angelina is the Musician-Emotion Healer of our era.
You're being pulled in by one of Angelina's favorite vocal techniques. It makes you anticipate, then hang on every word when she sings it. She slows the tempo way down, and does not sing on the beat, but usually behind. A favorite of many jazz greats, or so I have heard. Magnificent comes to mind.
The emotion she brings to songs is incredible. I’m in my 60’s and I’ve heard a lot of singers and truly can say she is gift from God to enjoy.

I so love Angelina’s version of this Chris Isaak song. She nails the emotion, passion and soulfulness of the song. Her interpretation of the lyrics and the arrangement compared to the original is much elicits deep and soulful experience. As always, she draws in and it makes us feel as though she is singing right to each of us individually. You can’t help, but be wholly captivated when she sings.

Kevin Good once wrote "the power is in the silence". Those words are so true. Her phrasing and timing in this song, is above anything I have witnessed. It makes this performance one of her very best. Masterclass. This cover is the best of this song I have ever heard. Coming from a child, blows my mind.

Thank you for another emotional reaction to Angelina. For some time now this has been my No. 1 performance by her. I find it gut wrenchingly beautiful and, as always she tells a story which is totally believable of a lover she has lost and the anguish and desolation she feels, knowing there can be no reconciliation. We know that she has not experienced that of which she sings but manages by her recognition that this is a song of obsession - obsessive love - to have us believe her story. There is no other singer who can tear at my heart strings.
And then there is the video produced by Sune Amtoft. It is a masterpiece and totally reflects the emotions in the song. The symbolism he introduced with the heart drawn on the sand, which is whole at the beginning of Angelina's performance but totally destroyed at the end represents the loss that Angelina conveys in the performance.
It’s my number one also. One of the best covers of any song ever, in a different realm from the Chris Isaac version
Empathy is her superpower. Just like the Borg, she assimilates the song and makes it her own =)

This is certainly one of the interpretations of Angelina's songs that most grabs your soul and makes you look inside, its slow, smoky, sweet, intimate tones drag you and make you lose the sense of time. Her voice is so emotional it leaves you like a log on the beach after a storm, but it's also so sweet! For me the best version I've heard of this song, she completely captures the pain of the lyrics, more much that original version.❤️ 🤗
Even if she is little more than a child, she has the ability to read songs, even if already performed by dozens of singers, in an incredible way, all her own that always amazes you, every time she manages to find a new interpretation, that no one has had before 😊 ❤️

This is one of my favourite covers of angelinas.. Great reaction.. But please don't ever be embarrassed to cry.. Crying is a natural emotion that we all possess.. I cry when I'm sad.. Mad.. Happy or just come over with emotion which often happens when I'm listening to AJ... Please Men of this world Cry if you feel like crying.. There's nothing unmanly about showing your emotions infact I find it an attractive feature.. Teach your sons that there is no shame in crying as well.. It makes me soooo angry when I hear adults telling little boys to stop crying because boy's don't cry.. Fgs.. Not crying inhibits one's emotions.. I always feel better after a good cry.. I believe she is destined, along with a handful of other young singers, to change the music industry (and, hence, culture) with songs that have true meaning, and the ability to convey those meanings to the hearers -- unlike much of the gibberish, vulgarity, and drivel of the last 20+ years.
