This. When people say those kinds of jokes are funny, I always ask why they think it is. Understanding jokes require a level of relatability, so it always sets off an alarm for me when someone finds rape or pedophilia funny. Not a "this person is a jerk" alarm, but "this person's moral code is sketchy" alarm.

The thing that really annoys me with his reactions to the beard one is that the girl looks middle eastern and there's a running joke in MENA culture and muslim South Asian communities that guys with beards are hiding their weak jawlines since strong jawlines are a common trait among people considered attractive (Zayn Malik-esque face shapes). Man just inserted himself where he doesn''t belong to ruin a joke he doesn't understand the context of. It wasn't even a critique; it's a joke about men "hiding" behind their beard (bc some of them are mad insecure) the same way women "hide" behind makeup (some of them may also be mad insecure). The white men in his comment section also don't get the joke bc it's a joke for a specific set of cultures.

There are two jokes he made that wildly offended me more than his other stupid jokes. The first one being his joke where he said it’s the mother fault of a girl’s dad leaves, this makes me so upset cause my mom was left by my biological father, he was an w man that manipulated my mom, forced her to do things only he wanted to do, and once he got her pregnant he left thankfully we had and still have a supportive family that helped my mom through all of it.
The second joke that offended me was his joke about not calling they/them people by their pronouns. I have a transgender friend who uses he/they pronouns and the amount of slurs, dead naming, and getting she/her pronouns used on him even though it makes him super frustrated and upset is infuriating. And I go by she/they pronouns and often people will just use she/her because I’m fine with it or they’ll tell me to just be a girl sense that’s what I go by it’s so upsetting and to se a full grown man be as mature as a middle school boy is infuriating.
