Peter Pan & Wendy Things They Changed

Doesn’t it seem like there’s always a new live action adaptation of a Disney classic hitting our screens? Well, the latest has arrived on Disney+. Peter Pan & Wendy is a new, updated version of Peter Pan, and beyond just the expected transition from animation to live action, this movie changed quite a bit about its source material. To start, there are some overarching changes that you’ll notice right away, like the film’s dark appearance and its glaring lack of music. Other changes that were made will need some closer attention to discover. Some relationships get a lot more attention. Tinkerbell and Wendy have a friendship in this version that didn’t exist before, and Peter has a deep backstory with both Wendy and Captain Hook. Tiger Lily also got quite a makeover and gets lots more screen time, as well as much better treatment than she does in the animated version. While Tiger Lily’s part got bigger in this version, the mermaids’ part got way smaller. Some other plot details were totally revamped. Peter Pan, Michael, and John all face some dangers that they didn’t have to deal with in the original. The Lost Boys also have some major changes. In fact, they’re not all Lost Boys anymore; there are some lost girls, too. Plus, Wendy’s relationship with them is very different this time around. Last but certainly not least, Peter Pan & Wendy got a whole new ending. Plenty of changes were made to the OG Peter Pan, and you’ll have to see them to believe.

I actually thought "Peter Pan & Wendy" was a great remake. Sure it could've used some of the original movie's musical numbers, but it was not half bad. Plus, giving friendlier connections to Tinker Bell and Wendy actually allowed our favorite pixie to be more of help to the story. Yara Shahidi did a good job bringing Tinker Bell to life in this movie.

I remember when I was switching the channels... and I unintentionally stopped on a channel that was playing Peterpan acted-out movie.
It was SO awkward because all I saw was Wendy kissing Peterpan on his cheeks, he smils, and literally shouts loud enough to fly (almost) everything away.

It is pretty sad that the live action of Peter Pan isn't musical and funny as the original Peter Pan. But it is actually better than the original and makes sense! Why does some fans give the negative views? This is so stupid.
