The website got overloaded with people and the payment company couldn’t deal with all the payments so I’ve had to upgrade my account and do a whole load of other stuff. Hmm. Normally up for the planet of dreams raffle, but don’t get this one, get the new owners to sell it themselves, £35,000 for a car that is special but gettin older and they won it 3 months ago with a engine like that just sat there,
Think you shud do raffle for your own cars but doing it for other ppl I don’t like, owners just pure greedy, they won it off £25 a ticket I think they cud of sold it for £20 k and still been well happy
And you shouldn’t win it in a raffle and then re raffle it that’s wrong in my eyes

A few hours ago the available tickets was like 334, now at time of writing this its 346. You can see the available amount by putting quantity to 350 at checkout and it will say remaining amount left. The fact it changed like that makes me altogether put off, unless all those who had got tickets got refunds, or available amount has been altered.

on the head with regard to the comparison with the EP3. I own a FN2 M200 and have driven EP3s (I work at a Honda dealer) but when get asked which is better I say the same as you! It depends what you want in a car. Before I bought mine I was actually looking to buy an EP but saw mine for sale. Looking back at the time I was 36 years old and liked the idea of cruise control, xenon headlights, LSD, and auto wipers and headlights. Small things I know but it’s my daily. It does need more power and I do miss the torque of a charged car. Keep up the good work Calvin.
I'm biased because I own an Fn2 and I love it but honestly after test driving an ep I'm so glad I bought my fn. Looks better, way nicer interior and so on. I like ep3's dont get me wrong and they are a fantastic car for what they are but i just prefer the fn :D

Had both Calv. Personally preferred the fn2 . It felt much more planted on the road at higher speeds. And didn’t feel that much slower when driving it. All though it is. But fn2 really cool inside aswell.
they are slower just fn2 comes with a 5.1 final drive to help it accelerate as quick as a ep3 but ep3 is quicker top end
fn2 is a better car than ep3 for sure... ive driven both. ep3 feels little more raw and nimble and thats about it, however fn2 has more feauters, its safer, much better interior, exterior still looks very modern, has stiffer chasie,better steering, shorter gears, and it feels more stable at higher speeds. its also little cheaper
100% correct. Owned an EP3,. Own and adore a late fn2 with factory LSD.
Had both and both are great cars , but fn2 is on a different level tho
Fn2 are still looking nice and a decent one with low mileage are still going for top dollar

These get some bad reviews I ran one and it was a genuine surprise how much I enjoyed it , just adding a intake makes it sound like a monster
Fn2 is a top car funny enough I went from a 4.2v8 s4 to my fn2 and it was abit dull but when I modified it wow what a car. The crossover with a manifold and exhaust is very noticeable. Love it I'm converted to Honda.
Fd2 oil pump will kill the dull already. That and a tune another car completely
My opinion as an Ep3 type r owner and never driving an FN2 is that it is same engine with a more refined body that makes it better as a daily driver but me personally prefer the rawness of an Ep3 especially one like mine that is modified to exaggerate the driving experience.
Still great cars and no doubt can be modded to improve although looks wize Ep3 looks better in my opinion and then there is that issue of independent rear suspension which no doubt makes the Ep3 a better drivers car in the twisties .
Its like Honda deliberately tried to tone down the car when they should have kept the ep3 chassis and ramped up the power like mapped cars are with an extra 50 hp or released a turbo or supercharged edition but their thinking was to keep it N/ A at the time as it is a unique selling point at the time even if it means less power.
Only emissions forced Honda to go turbo
Got my latest FN2 Type R from here today…. Market strong for the earlier models right now, the FN2 is sure to follow, time to stock up.

Had 2 ep3 and 1 fn2 both are amazing fn2 is underrated but both are different cars fn2 is more nice inside and more a daily
Fn2 has shorter gear ratios & slightly more torque.
Austin Caley and it usually makes around 10hp more on dyno
It’s heavier and doesn’t have independent rear suspension

These are the many other upgrades the FN2 also has:
- Better flowing cylinder head than EP3 (the same RSP cylinder head as FD2 Type R)
- Factory lightweight flywheel (same as FD2 Type R)
- Much better steering geometry than EP3
- 60mm (2.3”) factory exhaust up from 55mm (2.1”) on EP3
- Alloy front control arms (steel on EP3)
- Standard LSD on MY2009 versions (only on JDM version EP3)
- Balance shafts in engine for less engine vibrations
Not to mention all the convenience stuff like cruise control, auto headlights, auto wipers and so on.
@@soto575 Yeah, FN2 has the RSP intake manifold with long runners (almost like an Accord intake manifold) which increases mid-range torque... Albeit it's still a 2.0L Honda and still needs lots of revs to go anywhere in a hurry.
Love my ep3. Granted fn2's are better manufactured and have a lot more goodies to compensate for the weight. But I've just never really been a fan of the looks and the handling. Those are 2 things the ep3 has an edge on. I know which one I'd rather have lol

I reckon you could have ran a better draggy time if you stayed in second cus second lets you go till about 64mph. That way your in VTEC and dont lose time shifting into third. I haven't timed 60 yet but I'm pretty sure mine will do it sub 7 seconds

The k20 is very tuneable hondata it and then you get 0.60 in second gear .

daniel mcelhinney Well it’s good even if you do it every 1000miles but I say do it every 3k-5k if you can afford it to keep it proper fresh. I try and do it every 6k due to funding but hopefully I will start doing every 3k. Mines done 152k they are very reliable redlined many times but I would say try not to go above 8k. Check oil level every 4 days or so always have. 1 litre top up in the boot ALWAYS. And join the FN2 group on Facebook and ask for advice on anything FN2 related there mate enjoy the car and stay safe mate.
Get it mapped with a manifold makes it more brutal like the ep3 I have pop n bang on mine on a Na fn2 can turn off aswel

I own an fn2 absolutely love it, I think the ep3 gear box is better and it revs more then a fn2, as fn2 has a balance shaft, but imo fn2 steering ect js miles above the ep3 and much more comfortable to be in

When I was buying my FN2 And asked the golden question of FN2 VS Ep3 the guy Who sold me the FN2 said it so simply but worked.
He said to me "if you want a reliable daily car with all the creature comforts, A car that can go the track for a bit of fun on the weekends then go FN2. But if you want a track car thats road legal you get an EP3"

In my opinion the ep3 is the better car I’m quite bias as I own one but they look better drive better and I personably think less is more and the interior is nicer in the ep3 premier edition with red recaros and red carpet. But anyways I’m a big type r fan and have love for them all 🚗💨🇯🇵

Honda is on another level. Just compare this car with cars in the same price range. Its way better. Also skoda cars made in 2015 have plastics already sticking out and a lot of rust... Im never buying a different brand other than honda ;)

Get one in gt spec and your laughing.
And if you drive it carefully you can get 40 mpg if needed.
I got one. 40mpg is a myth unless you drive 6 gear everywhere and stay on the motorway. Even there its pushing it. Normal driving I get 16-17 mpg but if I drive sensibly I can get 25 at most

Even round town 30 mpg is possible. 16 17 mpg you must be ragging it all the time.
I own an fn2, mapped with a decat, exhaust and intake so dunno if that makes a big difference. 40mpg is definitely not a myth and easily achievable on the motorway at 70ish, can even get 35mpg at 80. Normally get around 28-30 driving sensibly on different roads

Yes👍 fn2 is the more mature intelligent man space age Civic Type R. Very tuneable and gt good specs. EP3 in the older our day dinosaur still with a great engine generally a bit chavsy🤭

😏 Guys REMEMBER this : you can make the fn2 performance better than than ep3 with few basic mods BUT you Can’t make the ep3 safter, more modern , and have features.
I went from a ep3 R to CW Fn2 R and have no regrets. Mine makes 251hp and im having way more fun than any fartbox gti owner lol
In fairness, you can also make an ep3 just as quick with engine mods, and it is simply incorrect to state you couldn't make an ep3 safer or mechanically more modern.
For the money the FN2 is the best hot hatch you can buy.
When people starting apologizing I switch video straight away.

Regardless of opinions on what's better ps ep3 better 😉 theres one factor that is a no brainer an ep3 is an appreciating asset and fast becoming a classic it will be worth more therefore get an ep3 whilst there still affordable
It's going to be a while still before EP3s start to go up massively in value. The problem with being that reliable, is that there's still thousands of them out there...
If you want the model that will appreciate surely you have to get the FD2 Type R? But with no cruise control and very stiff suspension, I'm not sure it's a terribly good everyday car.
i bet honda stuck a bespoke 2nd gear in just to record their hopeful times to 60,,,,,,,,,
fatwalletboy2 What are you talking about mate when he says in the vid it goes up to 59MPH. Maybe if the new owner mods it to rev to 9K might be able to hit 60 in 2nd gear which may shave of about a second or so.

Lol. Right. I wonder why some of the best FF cars have torsion beams then? FK2R? Renault Clio? Every Megane from R26R to RS300? Inside Lane took both the UKDM EP3 and FN2 to the Hungaroring and with a professional driver the FN2 lapped slightly quicker, torsion beam and all. No issue with a preference for the EP3, brilliant and iconic car...but more people should go out and try am FN2 rather than just repeating what Jeremy Clarkson had to say. Both fun and nothing between em' performance-wise.

Past fans, ebay modders and stretched definitions of 'a better car' which favour trim and xbox dashboards, the fn2 has never been better than an ep3 in a drivers hands (yes, that old chestnut). The question hasn't needed to be asked since the fn2 was released.
