Salut Ti-Michel ! I'd also check the top crank seal (might be a slinger that never leaks) and the bottom crank seals for leakage with soapy water. I'd also check the intake leaf valves' proper operation. Love your channel, mon ami !

@michaeljsimon My 1970 18 Evinrude did not have a clip on the needle valve or a grove for a clip. The repair kit comes with a new needle valve with a clip. Is it okay to use it either way?

Can you show in detail how to remove the ‘difficult’ screw to remove the 9.5 carburetor ? You are the only one on UA-cam who doesn’t pull the flywheel. Thank you very much
