Reuploaded because the Jag's has a strange quirk where it deals 32 damage to buildings but 43 damage to sappers specifically. This behavior is unique to this weapon and probably a bug.
I use the jag because I like to use the sentry almost as a mini-sentry, and help with the shotgun, I find it much more flexible, if I do need to defend a base, I usually swap to the wrench
Same, I use the jag to throw down level 2 sentries in silly locations and snag a quick few kills for my frontier justice. When defending an objective wrench is way better.
That is somewhat true, but then again, the building cost just breaks it. So it still somewhat doesn't have any use if you want to build with it. Its more defencivevnow that i think of it. You wouldnt want to charge up against anyone with meelee only unless demoknight, you're just risking your life. Just pull out your shotgun. Or pistol. Its practically made for spy hunting. Or if you just wanna meme by charging in with the thing. But then again theres the pow hand so yeah. Sorry for making such a long statement but you get me, right?
Buildings can only accept metal for upgrades after they've finished their previous build or upgrade animation. The building animation doesn't matter so much, as both the Wrench and the Jag swing at rates where they apply an upgrading swing a negligible amount of time after the Sentry/Dispenser finishes its build animation by just holding M1 the whole time. However, in this video you were wasting almost the entire swing duration when you swung _just_ *before* the buildings finished their previous upgrade animations. It's possible then to upgrade buildings slightly faster than this video would suggest, also making the % difference in effective build speed smaller (which gets even smaller when you have to walk to resupply/ammo packs).
Something interesting about the jag is it doesn't apply both the damage penalty and the vs building damage penalty against sappers since buildings are classified as buildings with 100 health but is the sapper is the only buildings both damage apply damage penalties of the jag to the building Building takes 32 damage from the jag But sappers tske 43 damage from the jag
so its just: jag: getting things up quickly, not caring if buildings go down because you can get up a new one, for more offensive engies. stock wrench: keeping buildings alive, for more defensive engies. but if your buildings do go down, you can just switch to the jag to get a new one up, then stock again for keeping them up.

was confused thanks for letting us know
good vid very informative
YOOOOO I DID SOMETHING
Yeah I was pretty confused
that means it's supposed to destroy a sapper in 4 hits, if that were the case, it would be better to use the stock

This is actually so well done, this is exactly everything I want out of weapon comparison videos, good stuff!
This is a very underrated channel.
Great editing, amazing voiceover, and just really high quality in general.
The winner is...... NONE!
The jag is good for putting it up while the hospitality is good for keeping it up.
hospitality is basically a upgrade to wrench
i mean u do more dmg with melee hits with bleed and dosent rely on random crits

Its an upgrade from stock cuz i have a cooler skin on it

Cool vid, I have been wondering about this topic for a while
I was tinking the vid was a glitch in the matrix before i saw the comment
*Deja vu*
You got me

Building takes 32 damage from the jag
But sappers tske 43 damage from the jag
Thanks for the info I always was unsure that if the Jag is better then why use Stock Wrench, but after this weapon I am considering to go Stock again
Its an Upgade against a competent enemy team. The sentry would be easily focus fired so... setting up another one quickly helps A LOT
great work man, I'll start using stock now
Hasnt this Video already been released?
So the only down sides are the damage penalties?
so its just:
jag: getting things up quickly, not caring if buildings go down because you can get up a new one, for more offensive engies.
stock wrench: keeping buildings alive, for more defensive engies.
but if your buildings do go down, you can just switch to the jag to get a new one up, then stock again for keeping them up.
This nice
no
you made a mistake at 4:22
you can't build minisentries with the jag
You can repair buildings made by other engineers.
other friendly engineers can have gunslinger
Is this a reupload
