Nice work If you would like a suggestion for what DIY Duke could make next, I'd really like to see how to build an outdoor pull up bar and parallel bars.
Always wanted to learn welding. Use to see the guys welding girders on construction sites as a kid and thought walking on those beams high up was cool. Great dumbbell rack, nice that you included the metric for our brothers.
Have you Buff Dudes made any videos on how to determine your macros for either gaining or losing weight? If not, can you guys please make one? I'm having trouble determining how many macros to intake to gain lean muscle. Thanks, you guys make some awesome videos.
Very nice! I would love to see something like this done with just bolts and no welding. For the attaching the angled bits to the uprights you could just use a small section of angle iron in front and behind the upright. Run a type 8 bolt through both sections of angle iron and the upright. The piece that got welded to the upright would be bolted to the two small sections of angle iron. In the future when I get more weights than just a single kettlebell I may try my hand at a weight rack similar to the one in this video but with bolts instead of welds.
You guys should do a DIY bumper-plates/weight-plates , maybe out of tires and concrete or wood or anything that could save us a couple bucks when it comes to weight plates
Hello buff dudes I am from germany and i look near all of your videos guys you are amazing Could you do a video about seal rows ? I want to know your opinion about this exercise and want you seeing do this
i'm a new subcriber and i have to say that you guys are definitly one of if not the best fitness channel on youtube, i am new to weightlifting (one month in) and i am training to failure every set, what is your stand on this ?
Derrick Truong Just some unsolicited advice. Don't push yourself too hard in the beginning. You might end up with Exertional rhabdomyolysis (google it). Yes, I know it isn't that common, but yes, I have seen it happen (twice). My suggestion would be to find a beginner program and stick to it.
nji9nji9 thank you man, i have been trying to push every set to failure for a month, and i have to admit it really takes alot out of me, im ust trying to stay healthy, not bodybuilding like the buff dudes so i stop taking my set to failure and only get to like 70 to 80% then i stop. hopefully i can still get some result by progressively taking on more weight.
Derrick Truong No prob. Are you using a program? Some friends of mine who just started lifting are using a beginner program call 'ice cream fitness'. They are seeing good progress, you might want to try it.
Well done, I spent some time working as a fabricator and I'm impressed with your work. You've even got the proper welder's hat, lol. How's the ventilation in that room?
Hello i know that your power rack already have squat safety bars. In my case I have a weider station wich doesnt allow me to made the safety bar like the ones you did. I'm planning on building some squat safety bars. thanks fir all your diy projects. I will like to see a diy cable crossover project, im planning on doing one.
hey buff dudes im am curious do you count your calories and macros etc? I myself stopped trying to count anything and just eat untill i feel full or untill i feel ive had enough i hate counting calories or macros to conventional for me x.x
Hi there Buff Dudes im kinda new to the gym. Do u guys think its okay to be in the gym and also be playing basketball, im a basketball player and i also want to bulk up. So do u guys think is ok to be building my body and playing basketball Ps : i love ur channel
Hey buff dudes. I need some help. I bought a dumbell bar yesterday only one because i already have one. The one that i already have is solid steel and weighs about 4lbs. But the one i bought only weighs 2lbs. So im wanting to know if i should buy another of the 2lb ones or i should i keep the ones i have and use the heavier one for my weaker side
Its about 2.2 lbs. from what i got when i weighed it. I weighed myself and then weighed myself holding the dumbell bar. If you didnt know, a dumbell bar is what you use to add weight to it on your own. So, if you wanted to make 10lbs, u would put a 5 pound plate on each side of the dumbell bar. Much like a curling bar, or barbell, you can use plates to make them heavier. So if you wanted to bench press say, 225 lbs, you could grab a 45lb olympic barbell and add two 45lb plates on each side of the bar, making it heavier. Is there anything else i need to explain for you? If so be sure to ask! Ill help as much as i can!
Hey DIY Duke, I made the power cage and bench, but I'm using salt bags for my weights! Please do reinforced concrete free weights. There are no decent videos for this. Almost all of them lack any reinforcement at all and are giving out very bad DIY advice. Yes it might require welding equipment and so that should be factored into the price / bill of materials since no one has that. But you only need to make one mold for 45 pounder plates, and then you can just buy a pair of 25 pounders and 10 pounders since you only need one of each pair. With the know how to make 45 pounder plates, assuming the average person will eventually need 6 plates, that's a lot of money saved by knowing how to make durable DIY plates. Thanks for all your hard work and good DIY designs!
i noticed on tips for bigger triceps that you had stretch marks, but they seem to be gone or less visible now!! i haven't worn a tank top in probably over a year and a half due to stretch marks and i wanna show off all of my GAINZZ BRO(; you guys should do a stretch mark video!!!
I like these diy's. But i dont have the tools or the skill to work with metal. I'd imagine its the same for others and it would great if you could do them with wood instead. Either way i enjoy watching them :)
I was wondering what are some healthy foods that I could eat to gain some weight. I would like to beef up, but I don't want to fill my body with food that would add unhealthy weight.
Guys, it might be cool if you'd do a DIY for the wheelthing which is used for the abs. Don't know what it's called like actually, but I guess you know what I mean. Should be an easy thing to do, right? Maybe you guys are busy enough right now, so don't feel sad if you can't do it. ;) Greetings from Holland
Let's not beat around the bush here, I'm out to get subs. It's hard to get exposure on youtube these days as they say if you don't ask you don't get. At the very least a comment lol good or bad exposure is exposure. Free chest program to maybe sway you lol
DIY duke = king
Although I know I'll never end up making any of these, it's always fun to watch these videos! Keep up the great work

No use the same weight on both sides. My little 10 y/o sister couldn't get a pump with a 4 lb dumbbell. I think you might need heavier weights.
