I've been to a few of the places you went to. However, this year Hokkaido is getting so expensive. Can you reccommed a place with nice hotels in Hokkaido with easy access from TYO?
thanks! Asahikawa is a great option. It is a typical regional city with a population of about 300,000, where ordinary Japanese people live. Compared to Niseko, the cost of living is much lower, and the food is much better. Niseko has become a place for business catering to the wealthy, and apart from the powder snow, it doesn't offer the true essence of Hokkaido anymore. The services there are just getting more expensive as greedy business people try to extract money from the wealthy.
