For all those with a body type that is asymmetrical (perhaps due to trauma, injuries or natural causes as not everyone is exactly symmetrical), here's a tip: If your shoulders are not in line (meaning one is sloping a bit), you can fill the inner side of your sports jacket or suit jacket of the sloping shoulder with a filling for lady's brassieres (ladies can add a foam to adjust their brassiere to any small differences). Just a thin foam can make a difference to your shoulder and the sloping shoulder will look exactly as the strong shoulder.You'll look symmetrical (again). I'm a stick to. I usually wear slightly slim jeans, white t shirt with some kind of flannel shirt over it. I live in Kansas so wearing this is completely normal. Most of my shirts are mediums or smalls, almost all large clothes looks baggy as hell on me lol.
I'm a designer and illustrator and love character design, but in the university we never had a subject or class about dressing and this is just perfect for how to dress characters, seriously...Thank you for the information!

For inverted triangle bodytype you must avoid half sleeves t shirts. It gives you the T shape to your upper body ,so it increases the volume of upper side which you really dont want. You can simply buy full sleeve t shirts. But they should not be baggy. Thats my tip✌🏻

I just stumbled on this channel and of course I subbed. Being a 45 year old grandpa, I’m an oval. I don’t like wearing ties and suits. I’m a band t shirt and jeans or shorts guy. But now that I’m older I’d like to try and look better. The problem is I’m 45! Lol. I’m only 5ft 7in and 215 lbs. I was up to 250lbs a couple years ago. I’ve plateaued on my weight and haven’t lost or gained anything for half a year. I wish I could get a one on one with this dude. He’s damn cool.
This is such an important topic. I see too many men who look terrible becasue of the pants they've chosen or maybe the shirt their wearing. A simple good decision on the clothes you buy can make a huge difference in you and also your confidence.
Some years ago I had a triangle shaped body form. Trimmed, not over done. It was the easiest and most handsome look ;) I'm working to get back cause it makes a whole lot of things so much easier :) Thanks for the info, cheers 👍🏼
It actually makes me struggle to find clothes that fit me, where I end up looking like a rectangle where I usually find a shirt that fits my shoulders and doesn't even reach my hips.

I would say that I definitely used to be more on the lanky square side, but since I've been working out for almost 2 years now, and I have especially put a lot of effort in in 2016. Now I've moved more towards the trapezoid. Very happy about it :)

Tight enough but not too tight that their fat looks bulging and their clothes look like they're about to rip. I'm a girl on the medium-chubby side. I do that myself for even covering up both my belly and breasts. I look wayy fatter when I am wearing the larger clothes. But trust me, I look much closer to normal when I wear the tight but not too tight clothes.

I love how you say.. Dress for what you are right now... That is key... As an individual who has lost 175 lbs... I have gone through 4 out of 5 of these body's... However im a cross between round and trapiz.
As someone with the inverted triangle body type due to working out, I can say me and suits have a love hate relationship lol. I remember going to prom and having to get tailored and all that and looking in the mirror and realizing I look stupid 💀. What I would recommend is going with some slacks and polos, knitted polos/shirts and even Henleys, if you’re looking to start dressing better and to dress to go out and all that. Suits are too padded for us dudes who workout because it does make us look odd!

For rectangle the style might not be for everyone but a waist coat with a blazer tie and white shirt looks good if you change the waistcoat colour but keep trousers and Shirt the same you will b looking fabulous!

You're right about the inverted triangle being an absolute nightmare to style, but your analysis is a little general. I'm an inverted Triangle with very large, muscular thighs, so making the pants baggier and using size 12 boots will make my waist disproportional. There really is no way around it but amass incredible obliques and upper body.

At 6'1" and 155 lbs, I'm definitely the lanky rectangle. With the colder weather lately, I've been wearing a lot of sweaters over button shirts, typically plaid or checked. Sleeves rolled up with contrasting pants. Almost always khaki or jeans. The rolled up sleeves give the illusion of bigger arms, something I'm particularly self conscious about

This video right here. When I used to lift all the time (570lb DL, etc etc), I had the HARDEST time finding clothes. 36 inch pants for a 29 inch waist, etc. Now that I don't lift and I have muscle mass still, everything feels tailored already.
