As a gentleman with darker brown skin, I 100% agree with your assessment. I have a crimson red Adidas jacket that I've received numerous compliments wearing over the years, and my current favorite winter wear piece is an emerald green Ralph Lauren beenie..Ive always thought it makes my skin tone pop, but now I got the co-sign. During college, I worked in “men’s furnishings” (everything except suits or sporty clothes) at a large department store. Gradually, I developed into a men’s stylist. The men’s suiting department would send them over to me with their new suits to help them select their shirts, ties and other accessories for it. There were so many men who wore completely the wrong colors for their personal coloring! I always got them into better shirt colors, and crisp, cool whites for the cool-undertoned ones and a creamy white for the warm-toned ones, in addition to the colors I chose carefully for them. It makes a huge difference in anyone’s appearance.

Beige only looks good on those with skin tones that are darker. Brown can look bad or good on darker skin tones. If the skin tone is darker, brown looks washed out if it’s too close to the skin tone. There has to be noticeable contrast between material and skin tones for brown to work on darker skin tones. Fair and pasty skin tones look washed out in beige due to insufficient contrast between material and skin tone. People with these skin tones should wear brown if they’re going to wear earth tones. Personally, I like greys the best as they look good on everybody. Light blues that are not off white look bad on black haired people. Otherwise, blues look good on everybody and, overall, are my second favorite after greys. Other than burgundies, dark greens and dark purples (especially off blacks), greens, purples and reds look bad on redheads, especially light greens, light purples and pinks. Otherwise, reds are my third favorite overall, greens my fourth and purples my fifth. Oranges, peaches and yellows look bad on everybody and should be completely avoided by everybody. Beiges and browns are best used in small amounts. All colors exclude off black and off white shades. All kinds and shades of off black and off white as well as black and white look good on everybody. But they’re best for business formal and more formal than that. Aquas, teals and turquoises are included with greens, by the way.
Personally, I'm a ginger with a fair to light skin tone with warm undertones and I've found that darker greys, basic black, most blues, and medium browns paired with a green work pretty well on my skin. I've also found that contrast can work wonders. I almost never wear green without brown, or red without a lot of black. I wear white only very rarely and always with black or a very dark grey. There are certain colors that I absolutely hate and just about never wear unless forced to, i.e. work uniform or some kind of event. However, I think they look fantastic on other people. Yellow or bright pinks for instance, really any bright color. I would never think those colors look good on a white woman, but I find them VERY attractive on black or darker brown women.

Hi there, I just wanted to say that I've watched your videos since I was in high school, and just reflecting, it's so awesome to see how much you have improved over the years! The content has always been great, but it's impressive to see how confident you've become in front of the camera.
To this advice I would append the caveat that hair-colour can also have a profound impact on dressing for tone. As a male of Irish descent bearing the characteristic 'very fair' skin yet also not-uncharacteristic rufescence of coiffure (i.e., ginger hair), rich complementary shades such as burgundy, aubergine and Sacremento green that would wash-out someone of more subdued palette, or vibrant but analogous hues like mustard, canary yellow, tan and crimson which might otherwise overpower their subtler complexion, actually tend to yield a more flattering result on me than the pastel tints and muted tones suggested here. While undeniably a significant handicap in my youth-both in the wardrobe and on the playground-this has in later life enabled me to 'own' colours and combinations thereof (purple, royal blue) that would ordinarily be off-limits to men who aren't at least olive-skinned or darker.
I love the idea of this. One thought to make it more powerful is to use famous people with these skin tones and showing them wearing these colors to pop or struggle.
As a dark skinned fellow, the only dark brown I'll wear would be in the form of my suede jacket and footwear. I suppose I could try gold. Reminds me of curry powder. I gravitate towards jewel tones and tones and shades of colour for shirts. Deep blue instead of navy for outerwear. And, I know cream/beige/off white looks good on my skin as well. Any darker like taupe and khaki as a top is a no go.
I have learned colour theory in the past, but had no idea about most of this. It turns out that I have been wearing a lot of the colours I should have avoided. Great video. Thanks for sharing!!!
As a paler skin guy, I think this is pretty much spot on :) Last year I bought a very nice burnt orange coat as I felt I didn't have enough autumn colours in my wardrobe and that I should push my boundaries and try something different. I've worn it exactly once! I just felt very uncomfortable wearing it and I couldn't quite understand why. Watching this video, I think I instinctively knew it wasn't right for my complexion and didn't really suit me - however much I thought it looked fine in the mirror. But hey, I guess we're all allowed to make one poor clothing purchase right? On the other hand, I love wearing all blue ensembles, maybe with a splash of purple, or all black with a burgundy blazer and gold or silver coloured tie. Like you say Antonio, it adds a bit of spice to a monochrome outfit. Or just a classic navy blue jeans and burgundy jumper for casual. All of which fit with what you're saying. Very interesting....black is my go-to color and I am pretty dark skinned. I will admit though that when I wear gold or a yellow tone, I look fanF*ckin'tastic. I've never even given purple a thought so I will try it out and do a test run in public. I gauge how good I'm looking by how many smiles and freebies I get when I run errands LOL
You can use the colors to avoid for the pants/trousers portion of the wardrobe. Not shorts. Because you arent showing skin with pants/trousers. But since shirts contrast with your hands/face you want the right colors there. My coloring is like Henry Cavills pale skin ruddy undertone blue eyes dark brown hair. So a bubblegum pink sweater with olive trousers looks great because using the color wheel red opposes green-but that is Criristmasey. So add white to make it bubblegum pink and it looks great with olive. If you check Justice League red carpet looks for Henry you will see him rock a salmon sweater and olive trouser look. One of his rare full color displays as he tends to stick to neutrals.
Same here. I'm fair skinned so I've found that the colors that Antonio says to avoid, I tend to wear as pants. For example, olive shirts wash my face out but olive chinos work well.

This is a great video! I worked for 15 years at places like the GAP and Aeropostale. Their seasonal stuff is meh, but their perennial stuff most closely relates to what you say in this video. Question: What about a person with very hairy arms or sports a beard? Wouldn't that change their complexion? I've seen some men who even have very hairy back of their hands.
Back in the 90's, I'd see articles on " Appropriate Colors for Specific Skin Tones." Every damn time they'd get to light skin/auburn haired guys like me, they'd suggest bright blues and bright yellow/ greens, bright oranges and mauve color combinations that made the guys in the photos look like little twink like clowns. I hated it. I hated their suggestions, and it turned me off to style completely. I don't know how those magazine style " experts " could have been so wrong. Since my own style journey, god....I discovered Navy's, and Blue /Gray, and Pale Violets, and Silver, and Burgundy, and Charcoals, and Soft Blacks, and Bright White, and Khaki, and Tan, and Light Blue, and Green Gray, and Muted Earth Toned Reds, Aqua Marine, and almost any color of natural Leather, etc.

The information about color blindness is very interesting especially the difference between men and women’s perception of color. I myself found out a have slight red/green color blindness during a medical exam for the job I have now. Complete shock to me! Friend of mine had a similar experience when he tried to get a plant maintenance job for Toyota and he failed their electrical test. (Couldn’t tell the difference between some of the different colored electrical cables)
I love blue, it's my favourite color. Supposedly based on the article you linked Navy should work on me. Nobody likes it on me. Black, blue that's nearly black, teal/light blue, and dark reds, everyone likes on me. IDK why, but it just is. Always try and bring others who can be more objective, if I didn't I would have more navy just cause I like it. I mostly wear black with little pops of teal or red sometimes cause that's what everyone I know likes on me.
Just a quick note, since we are ignoring warm and cool tones, and keeping up with skin color, those with light, medium and olive skin tend to get a tan and rules set up here may not apply throughout the seasons. For instance I am “medium skin”, and I tan almost to brown skin, so I do get away with a lot of colors in the summer and also autumn, being ok with pastels and dark brown most of the times, but in the winter (dark browns especially) that is not the case.
A good try at unraveling the problem of colour but I think the easiest go-to for colour is whether one has yellow or blue undertones. Yellow undertones mean you are washed out by anything with yellow and generally warm tones. Go for true colours. With blue undertones you can wear warmer colours. Black skin is the best of all worlds because you can wear basically anything.
There used to be a book called 'Colors' that was all about this, but sadly it''s out of print now. It talks about skin types relating to seasons, from cool to warm. Pale people or people with lighter skin (winter) should generally avoid 'fall' colours like brown olive and tan. Pastels; black blue and red work well; green does not. You want to wear clothing that compliments your skin type - if the clothes make you look faded or sickly green/yellow, you are wearing the wrong colours. Appropriate colours make your skin glow and complement it - this is why pale tans, beiges and white work so well for darker skinned people; they contrast but in the same shade range. This isn't as easy for white people, because your hair colour also comes in to play. Simply put there's more than meets the eye, but the easy thing to remember is your appropriate colour types. Some say the 4 season fashion is outdated but it works very well for me; I know exactly (at 62) which colours I can wear, which ones look great, and which ones look like crap. I have pale skin, freckles and coloured hair; pastels always look great, red/blue/black. No green, no yellow, no brown; unless they are accents. As for scents, try it on your mom :) life hacks for you youngsters hth
Thank you for your information. I found the theory behind the hue and tint etc. somewhat helpful but what would be really beneficial would have been based on what color works best racial types. I understand you're walking a tight rope and not wishing to offend anyone but it made me think maybe I'm olive or maybe medium or maybe fair. Helpful information but no further ahead.

Colors with white are often called tones, and with black, shades) and brightness/softness/saturation (how much gray has been added - it softens the colour from a bright hue). In general, if you look better with slightly yellowed/creamy whites, gold looks better on you than silver, and your complexion can stand orange and a wider variety of yellows, you're likely to be warm toned. If you look better in clean white than yellowy whites (you don't need to look good in clean white, just better than in a creamy one), silver seems to work better and your complexion just can't stand orange or most yellows except for a certain lemony kind but pure, cool pink works better than orangey, salmon/coral type ones, you lean cool. Forget the vein test, it's trash (eg. I have a warm-leaning undertone but blue veins and have a wardrobe full of cool blues as a result of taking the vein test seriously years ago - no wonder I had trouble buying colour since any piece would always either clash with my warm skin or the cool colours of my other clothes). The true tell is always what does the colour do when a large quantity of it is close to your face. If your undertone is warm, it's generally a good idea to use browns as neutral colours, be picky about your blues and avoid gray unless it's explicitly warm-tinged. You'll likely look okay in cool colours, but even a well-picked cool outfit will just stop short of looking excellent. Cool, the reverse - most blues will be fine, most grays will be fine, warm browns will pretty much immediately look like too much but eg. sandy beige likely will be ok. Once you know what softness, tones and shades look like, those are generally easier to calibrate than the skin's undertone. Typically, if you have a high degree of contrast between your facial features, it usually means you can handle deeper shades and possibly more intense colours with less grey in them, while if you have low contrast, avoiding the extremes and looking for gray-softened colours is the play.
I have a fair skin and black hair colour, im have been trying to have mediterranean colour palate in my casual clothibg outfit, any other mediterranean colour would you recommend? I think the skin tone thing is overblown. For example, you can have really pale skin & dark brown hair. This advice would tell you to avoid dark browns, but you're already wearing dark brown on the top of your head, so it doesn't matter. Easier way to judge is the amount of contrast with your hair, skin, & eye color. If you're pale skin & blond, your low contrast & should stick to colors that are closer in tone to each other. Light skin & brown hair, medium contrast, & pale skin, black, hair high contrast
It depends on what model you use - Antonio's one here isn't great, IMO. If you go through more women's oriented colour analysis stuff, they use a three variable system which works great and does take into account stuff like contrast between skin and hair.
We said we didn't do it, not that we didn't know how to. In fact, in my case, I get bored of always wearing the same palette and I sometimes wear something very different.

Active duty Navy in Kansas City. Off duty I was also wearing black, white, and navy. Frustrated lady friends had a menswear staff at Hall's. There are sixteen seasonal varaiants. Hazel brown eyes with rosy cheeks and dark reddish gold hair is NOT earthy autumn. It is bright spring and deep enough on the fair scale to pull off all those saturated colors. Including black and navy (with help from other colors--all black is deathly ill on me).
Somehow I've always known my skin color looks strange with olive green. I'm a medium brown, and I tend to think I look best in black, white, Grey, Red or Navy blue, but never really yellow, olive or any super light color.

If you end up buying mostly grays, you may have an undertone clash going on, or be trying colours that are too bright: Just means you want to explore shades, tints and tones. If you have soft features, even very softened colours can look surprisingly rich on you.
Just a comment, as a woman: men wearing that heathered light gray and/or black gymwear just disappear to us women, wear them to only if you don’t want to be seen! Also, wear genuine leather shoes, not sneakers or flip-flops, a crisp shirt and a blazer or sport coat, we’re attracted to men who just look smarter and better-dressed than others. When in doubt, add a nice silk tie, it’s a chick-magnet, guaranteed. Some good wool trousers upgrade your look a lot, too, don’t wear just jeans for every occasion. No black dress shirts! Men who wear those look like ganstas, not like trustworthy, good men. We put in effort for our dates with you, you should too! I hope I don’t have to say: no rips, stains or smelly things! Go super-light with any fragrance or cologne, most of us hate it, deodorant, shampoo and soap only is better. A high-end scented body wash is all the fragrance you need, we love that.
Hmmmm. I must have missed the link to the pdf/e-book with the extra colors that are good for certain skin tones. I am certain that I am overlooking it, somehow, and will feel stupid when it is pointed out to me.
I wish I could have seen a little more of the different colors against the skin on this video. I know you're limited by the photos and animations you have. I kind of want to find a tool for this just to see how my skin tones compare.
So what do you do if the colors that match your skin tone you don't like? I used to have that problem, but I no longer care. I wear what I want. If it's comfortable and coordinated with the rest of my clothes. I wear it.
yeah man, Antonio is just talking about making your skin look better. If you don't think you look good, don't bother. There are also other things to know better such as undertone and hair color. I also think he refers to more casual clothing like crewneck sweathers and t-shirts, if I were to were a suit I would choose a classic color and match my skin tone with a complementing tie, pocket square, and maybe my shirt with a more casual sports jacket. Don't stress it if you don't think you look good
Most good department stores have free in-store styling by appointment. Use these services for help if you are color-blind or must struggle choosing colors. I would request a stylist who has some real training, not just another salesclerk. A trained stylist will also help advise on flattering fit, styles, etc. But, even the regular sales force has useful knowledge, they know what’s available in-store, online and what’s popular. There is no obligation to buy everything, but you will likely want to buy at least some of what a good stylist selects for your approval. (Some stores charge a small styling fee, deducted from whatever you choose to buy).
@@Komatik_ it is not about skin tone, if you have very dark skin or very light skin, being tan does not make a difference. But if you get a tan, where let’s say a salmon colored shirt washed you before the tan, now looks good, if you get neutral to warm skin tone you will pull it off! And if you have cold skin tone, you are certainly better off, but you will still look better after the tan! You do not agree with this?
Someone with a dark complexion must avoid bright greens, bright reds, bright blue/blue, purples, and yellows. Always go for undertone shades like maroon, faded brown, beige, jungle green, white, and faded blue if you have to wear bright colors. I happen to look good in black outfits even in darker environments, my skin tone isn't pitch black, but I definitely do not have light skin as well. It's a darker mid-brown, almost maroon plus brown. Whenever I wear maroon or brown T-shirts, the sleeve edges blend with my skin, especially in photos.
Being pedantic here but the purple colour you’re referencing is royal purple which was made by the Romans. Only their Emperors were allowed to wear it because of the difficulty of obtaining it.

You can't go wrong with navy blue, dark grey and beige. The vast majority of my wardrobe are one of those 3 colors.
Actually, there are some people who almost look sick in navy, which are often those whom beige fits most.

Yellow or bright pinks for instance, really any bright color. I would never think those colors look good on a white woman, but I find them VERY attractive on black or darker brown women.

To this advice I would append the caveat that hair-colour can also have a profound impact on dressing for tone. As a male of Irish descent bearing the characteristic 'very fair' skin yet also not-uncharacteristic rufescence of coiffure (i.e., ginger hair), rich complementary shades such as burgundy, aubergine and Sacremento green that would wash-out someone of more subdued palette, or vibrant but analogous hues like mustard, canary yellow, tan and crimson which might otherwise overpower their subtler complexion, actually tend to yield a more flattering result on me than the pastel tints and muted tones suggested here.
While undeniably a significant handicap in my youth-both in the wardrobe and on the playground-this has in later life enabled me to 'own' colours and combinations thereof (purple, royal blue) that would ordinarily be off-limits to men who aren't at least olive-skinned or darker.

As a dark skinned fellow, the only dark brown I'll wear would be in the form of my suede jacket and footwear. I suppose I could try gold. Reminds me of curry powder. I gravitate towards jewel tones and tones and shades of colour for shirts. Deep blue instead of navy for outerwear. And, I know cream/beige/off white looks good on my skin as well. Any darker like taupe and khaki as a top is a no go.

As a paler skin guy, I think this is pretty much spot on :) Last year I bought a very nice burnt orange coat as I felt I didn't have enough autumn colours in my wardrobe and that I should push my boundaries and try something different. I've worn it exactly once! I just felt very uncomfortable wearing it and I couldn't quite understand why. Watching this video, I think I instinctively knew it wasn't right for my complexion and didn't really suit me - however much I thought it looked fine in the mirror. But hey, I guess we're all allowed to make one poor clothing purchase right? On the other hand, I love wearing all blue ensembles, maybe with a splash of purple, or all black with a burgundy blazer and gold or silver coloured tie. Like you say Antonio, it adds a bit of spice to a monochrome outfit. Or just a classic navy blue jeans and burgundy jumper for casual. All of which fit with what you're saying. Very interesting....black is my go-to color and I am pretty dark skinned. I will admit though that when I wear gold or a yellow tone, I look fanF*ckin'tastic. I've never even given purple a thought so I will try it out and do a test run in public. I gauge how good I'm looking by how many smiles and freebies I get when I run errands LOL

You can use the colors to avoid for the pants/trousers portion of the wardrobe. Not shorts. Because you arent showing skin with pants/trousers. But since shirts contrast with your hands/face you want the right colors there. My coloring is like Henry Cavills pale skin ruddy undertone blue eyes dark brown hair. So a bubblegum pink sweater with olive trousers looks great because using the color wheel red opposes green-but that is Criristmasey. So add white to make it bubblegum pink and it looks great with olive. If you check Justice League red carpet looks for Henry you will see him rock a salmon sweater and olive trouser look. One of his rare full color displays as he tends to stick to neutrals.
Same here. I'm fair skinned so I've found that the colors that Antonio says to avoid, I tend to wear as pants. For example, olive shirts wash my face out but olive chinos work well.

This is a great video! I worked for 15 years at places like the GAP and Aeropostale. Their seasonal stuff is meh, but their perennial stuff most closely relates to what you say in this video.
Question: What about a person with very hairy arms or sports a beard? Wouldn't that change their complexion? I've seen some men who even have very hairy back of their hands.

Back in the 90's, I'd see articles on " Appropriate Colors for Specific Skin Tones." Every damn time they'd get to light skin/auburn haired guys like me, they'd suggest bright blues and bright yellow/ greens, bright oranges and mauve color combinations that made the guys in the photos look like little twink like clowns. I hated it. I hated their suggestions, and it turned me off to style completely. I don't know how those magazine style " experts " could have been so wrong. Since my own style journey, god....I discovered Navy's, and Blue /Gray, and Pale Violets, and Silver, and Burgundy, and Charcoals, and Soft Blacks, and Bright White, and Khaki, and Tan, and Light Blue, and Green Gray, and Muted Earth Toned Reds, Aqua Marine, and almost any color of natural Leather, etc.

The information about color blindness is very interesting especially the difference between men and women’s perception of color. I myself found out a have slight red/green color blindness during a medical exam for the job I have now. Complete shock to me! Friend of mine had a similar experience when he tried to get a plant maintenance job for Toyota and he failed their electrical test. (Couldn’t tell the difference between some of the different colored electrical cables)

I love blue, it's my favourite color. Supposedly based on the article you linked Navy should work on me. Nobody likes it on me. Black, blue that's nearly black, teal/light blue, and dark reds, everyone likes on me. IDK why, but it just is. Always try and bring others who can be more objective, if I didn't I would have more navy just cause I like it. I mostly wear black with little pops of teal or red sometimes cause that's what everyone I know likes on me.

Just a quick note, since we are ignoring warm and cool tones, and keeping up with skin color, those with light, medium and olive skin tend to get a tan and rules set up here may not apply throughout the seasons. For instance I am “medium skin”, and I tan almost to brown skin, so I do get away with a lot of colors in the summer and also autumn, being ok with pastels and dark brown most of the times, but in the winter (dark browns especially) that is not the case.
A good try at unraveling the problem of colour but I think the easiest go-to for colour is whether one has yellow or blue undertones. Yellow undertones mean you are washed out by anything with yellow and generally warm tones. Go for true colours. With blue undertones you can wear warmer colours. Black skin is the best of all worlds because you can wear basically anything.

There used to be a book called 'Colors' that was all about this, but sadly it''s out of print now. It talks about skin types relating to seasons, from cool to warm. Pale people or people with lighter skin (winter) should generally avoid 'fall' colours like brown olive and tan. Pastels; black blue and red work well; green does not. You want to wear clothing that compliments your skin type - if the clothes make you look faded or sickly green/yellow, you are wearing the wrong colours. Appropriate colours make your skin glow and complement it - this is why pale tans, beiges and white work so well for darker skinned people; they contrast but in the same shade range. This isn't as easy for white people, because your hair colour also comes in to play. Simply put there's more than meets the eye, but the easy thing to remember is your appropriate colour types. Some say the 4 season fashion is outdated but it works very well for me; I know exactly (at 62) which colours I can wear, which ones look great, and which ones look like crap. I have pale skin, freckles and coloured hair; pastels always look great, red/blue/black. No green, no yellow, no brown; unless they are accents. As for scents, try it on your mom :) life hacks for you youngsters hth

Thank you for your information. I found the theory behind the hue and tint etc. somewhat helpful but what would be really beneficial would have been based on what color works best racial types. I understand you're walking a tight rope and not wishing to offend anyone but it made me think maybe I'm olive or maybe medium or maybe fair. Helpful information but no further ahead.

Forget the vein test, it's trash (eg. I have a warm-leaning undertone but blue veins and have a wardrobe full of cool blues as a result of taking the vein test seriously years ago - no wonder I had trouble buying colour since any piece would always either clash with my warm skin or the cool colours of my other clothes). The true tell is always what does the colour do when a large quantity of it is close to your face.
If your undertone is warm, it's generally a good idea to use browns as neutral colours, be picky about your blues and avoid gray unless it's explicitly warm-tinged. You'll likely look okay in cool colours, but even a well-picked cool outfit will just stop short of looking excellent.

I think the skin tone thing is overblown. For example, you can have really pale skin & dark brown hair. This advice would tell you to avoid dark browns, but you're already wearing dark brown on the top of your head, so it doesn't matter. Easier way to judge is the amount of contrast with your hair, skin, & eye color. If you're pale skin & blond, your low contrast & should stick to colors that are closer in tone to each other. Light skin & brown hair, medium contrast, & pale skin, black, hair high contrast
It depends on what model you use - Antonio's one here isn't great, IMO. If you go through more women's oriented colour analysis stuff, they use a three variable system which works great and does take into account stuff like contrast between skin and hair.
We said we didn't do it, not that we didn't know how to. In fact, in my case, I get bored of always wearing the same palette and I sometimes wear something very different.

Active duty Navy in Kansas City. Off duty I was also wearing black, white, and navy. Frustrated lady friends had a menswear staff at Hall's. There are sixteen seasonal varaiants. Hazel brown eyes with rosy cheeks and dark reddish gold hair is NOT earthy autumn. It is bright spring and deep enough on the fair scale to pull off all those saturated colors. Including black and navy (with help from other colors--all black is deathly ill on me).

Somehow I've always known my skin color looks strange with olive green. I'm a medium brown, and I tend to think I look best in black, white, Grey, Red or Navy blue, but never really yellow, olive or any super light color.

Vibrant colors are not bad, even better when it works for you. But grey and neutral colors have always been the best choice for classic style or any minimalist styles.

If you have soft features, even very softened colours can look surprisingly rich on you.

Just a comment, as a woman: men wearing that heathered light gray and/or black gymwear just disappear to us women, wear them to only if you don’t want to be seen! Also, wear genuine leather shoes, not sneakers or flip-flops, a crisp shirt and a blazer or sport coat, we’re attracted to men who just look smarter and better-dressed than others. When in doubt, add a nice silk tie, it’s a chick-magnet, guaranteed. Some good wool trousers upgrade your look a lot, too, don’t wear just jeans for every occasion. No black dress shirts! Men who wear those look like ganstas, not like trustworthy, good men. We put in effort for our dates with you, you should too! I hope I don’t have to say: no rips, stains or smelly things! Go super-light with any fragrance or cologne, most of us hate it, deodorant, shampoo and soap only is better. A high-end scented body wash is all the fragrance you need, we love that.

yeah man, Antonio is just talking about making your skin look better. If you don't think you look good, don't bother. There are also other things to know better such as undertone and hair color. I also think he refers to more casual clothing like crewneck sweathers and t-shirts, if I were to were a suit I would choose a classic color and match my skin tone with a complementing tie, pocket square, and maybe my shirt with a more casual sports jacket. Don't stress it if you don't think you look good
Most good department stores have free in-store styling by appointment. Use these services for help if you are color-blind or must struggle choosing colors. I would request a stylist who has some real training, not just another salesclerk. A trained stylist will also help advise on flattering fit, styles, etc. But, even the regular sales force has useful knowledge, they know what’s available in-store, online and what’s popular. There is no
obligation to buy everything, but you will likely want to buy at least some of what a good stylist selects for your approval. (Some stores charge a small styling fee, deducted from whatever you choose to buy).

Nope. Tan mostly changes your surface, the overtone. Undertone stays cool.

But if you get a tan, where let’s say a salmon colored shirt washed you before the tan, now looks good, if you get neutral to warm skin tone you will pull it off! And if you have cold skin tone, you are certainly better off, but you will still look better after the tan! You do not agree with this?

Someone with a dark complexion must avoid bright greens, bright reds, bright blue/blue, purples, and yellows. Always go for undertone shades like maroon, faded brown, beige, jungle green, white, and faded blue if you have to wear bright colors. I happen to look good in black outfits even in darker environments, my skin tone isn't pitch black, but I definitely do not have light skin as well. It's a darker mid-brown, almost maroon plus brown. Whenever I wear maroon or brown T-shirts, the sleeve edges blend with my skin, especially in photos.

Being pedantic here but the purple colour you’re referencing is royal purple which was made by the Romans. Only their Emperors were allowed to wear it because of the difficulty of obtaining it.
