Your demos/review videos have become my go-to reference on how good can you make an amp sound. You should do a video on old solid state amps or famously "bad sounding amps".
Just got one of these. The gate is something that should be standard on all hi gain amps. Pres and res really make it angry. Scooped is super fun. That clean channel is the cherry on top. The compression is perfect and works well with it's hi gain neighbor.
I always check for your videos when I’m considering an amp purchase. Fantastic playing and riff writing too. I just may have to buy this amp. Thanks and keep up the great videos!
It always brings a smile to my face that you have a billion of the worlds best amps and seemingly one of your favourite guitars seems to be a performer telecaster? :)
I really enjoy how and what you play here, the amp, guitars are all very well, but what you do here, with your head and your hands, is a beautiful thing!
The inactive is definitely a very good amp, but to see always sounded like the Peavey 5105/6505 with some extras that don't justify the extra money... ended up swapping my USA 6505 with a 5150 50w stealth and couldn't be happier!
@@Lenser I have/had many amps. It's almost the perfect amp. Very balanced between channels and it's the only amp I use with eq/presence and resonance on 5. I live fideling with my Friedman and my vintage oranges, but the stealth the new standard
thanks, and now misha plays kemper and fractal 💩.. have you played the big brother in comparison? this is around 700€, the biggest competitors are the joyo bantamps for around 150€, a comparison would be very exciting here imo, cheers 🎸🎸
Cheers from Texas! 🤘😺🤘 Killer video! Way to build up the intensity of the song/riffs/settings 1 question Besides power, Is there anything that the 120 has, you would like to see on the MH? Michael Francis
Ik heb hem ook, ik had super hoge verwachtingen maar ik vind hem een beetje tegenvallen, ik blijf maar aan de knoppen draaien.. op youtube klinkt hij bijna overal geweldig! Raar toch
@@ddave3388 through a cab its not so good to my ears, i have peavey cab with greenbacks and HB with V30. I recently bought a reactive load and it does sound better now on studiomonitors with ir but still not what i was expecting and i keep turning the knobs searching for better tone. Maybe just not the amp for me.. i have a mt15 as well and i like that one better in every way and way easier to dial in
does it have a successor? micha has switched to the dark side and plays just digital stuff instead..fwould you say that it is worth the money? the 120 version was a bit disappointing for me, sounded very sterile reminded me of the big randall satan, the 50w was much better imo, 🙏
Can you balance out the levels of the clean channel and dirty channel because it seems like the same setup as mini 6505 and that would start to distort the clean channel levels to match dirty volumes?
i think the problem with the MH version of this amp is, that it looses a lot of the functionality the big one has. still a good sounding amp though, just not as desireable as the 120watt
Sir It says this little thing has a built in attenuator, so why did you decice to go with an external attenuator instead of the built-in one? BTW does the built-in attenuator only gives you the preamp out or pre+power amp signal on a line level with only the main speaker output muted?
I have 3 single pickup guitars, owned more. Think P Bass. You have a good sound, so just adjust volume to taste & play. You just, as Zappa said, shut up & play yer guitar.
The Amp sounded OK, but lacked the kind of note/string separation and articulation that I've heard in some of your other Amps. It was too homogeneous sounding for my liking, as that killed the aggressiveness of the tune. 🤷
My main issue with these small amps as well pedal/power amp solutions is the wattage is too low. Why 20w? 30w could be gigable. 40w for sure. 800 bucks for 20w is silly
I run mine through a 2x12 at band practice in 5 watt mode with the master at around 10 o’clock. I used to think the same thing but these things get plenty loud.
Sweet little amp right?
Sounds this would be a great all arounder. Shit, I could play a country gig and follow up with some chug fest
This channel is pure gold.
Much appreciated!
Absolutely

I've done videos on solid state amps like the H&K black spirit 200

It's not one of my favorites since I tend to prefer humbuckers but it is a great Telecaster!
Fantastic Demo! All could easily be be in my metal playlist. Oh and Mishas amp totally kills. awesome sounds,
My friend ordered one. He will be pleased with the sound. Amazing amp!
Awesome vid, there aren't many on UA-cam that do this amp justice. I love mine
Cheers!

I liek it. Great tone and cut but yet still pillowy just what im looking for!
bought this amp today. Great video. Helps a lot. Greets from DEU. Christian 🤘🏼
A comparison between the Vitriol Lead in Helix would be cool! Sounds really good. I like the Peavey Stuff. The 6505 MH is great as well.
I think he did a "helix vs invective" shootout already. Wasn't terrible but Helix was a bit lacking in my opinion.
@@misterringer OK, i will check it out, thanks. checked that out. Was the big invective, i know.
@@scentia_est right on. sonically the big and little are pretty close from what i've heard.
Yeah, the Helix just wasn't as close as I was hoping for
Super versatile
Wow! That’s Sounds Great!
Your Playing Is On Point Today! Very Good!👊🏻
Awesome track all this from one amp 🎉
Always killer riffs
Thanks
oh man, what are you doing to me.. 😂 might score one of these to pair with my engl fb25 in stereo 😬😊
Hey! Any chance your gonna get some Revv amps to try out at some point? Love to see how they stack up!
Killer Track.... wooooo!!!!!
Thanks!

I do think the Invective is underrated

I'm not really a funk fan :)

I have the 120 too and I've done various videos with both
Modeling sucks. I don't care how much one spends on a rig. You don't have the feel and harmonics of a good tube Amp. It's that simple.
Sick.
Indeed

1 question
Besides power, Is there anything that the 120 has, you would like to see on the MH?
Michael Francis
Was tof om je te ontmoeten bij Metallica 🤘. Show was vet! Ga zo door met je channel. Gr purple polo 😂😂
Haha hey man, thanks! Was een vette show he?

Try my settings and see if that helps. Be careful with the treble and presence controls
could be your cab
maybe it just doesn't fit the amp (or the speakers don't)

Killer demo! How did you bypass the built in ir and use your own?
You need to sell us captures of your Amps for ToneX 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Is this amp usable in rehearsals and gigs?
Can you balance out the levels of the clean channel and dirty channel because it seems like the same setup as mini 6505 and that would start to distort the clean channel levels to match dirty volumes?
Yes u can and the clean channel stays clean and doesn’t have crunch like the 6505mh does. I know this is old but might help someone out
i think the problem with the MH version of this amp is, that it looses a lot of the functionality the big one has.
still a good sounding amp though, just not as desireable as the 120watt
It still has some cool extra features though. Especially for the studio it can do a lot
For the crunch, is it possible to get a sound that has less highs with this amp? I like every other sound, but that one was a bit harsh to my ear.
Sir It says this little thing has a built in attenuator, so why did you decice to go with an external attenuator instead of the built-in one? BTW does the built-in attenuator only gives you the preamp out or pre+power amp signal on a line level with only the main speaker output muted?
Probably so he can use his own IRs instead.
Play this amp with an orange 1X12 and an Ibanez RGA8 with Seymore Duncan Blackouts. You Dont need more when you play Metall 🤘🏻😈
Nice! In your opinion, doesn't it suffer from the same exhausting "fizz" on the top end as the 6505MH?
Yes but you can dial it out and get a good modern tone by really cranking the low and resonance and dialing back the presence and highs a bit
Speaker choice my man.. 6505mh inherently has less fizz and overall high end than the big 6505s.
Hmm I don't think either are fizzy unless you turn up the treble and/or presence too high
Pretty sure my Invective had something wrong with it because it sounded nothing like this, was using a EVH 2x12 too so it couldnt have been my cab
Yeah it could have been one of those things because as you can hear, mine sounds great!
I remember that the 6505mh has a lot of noise, how is this going with that?
Mine isn't really noisy but the built in gate on this one helps
I've been thinking about getting a 1 knob guitar for a while now. Do they feel much different then your other guitars with selectors and tone knobs
I have 3 single pickup guitars, owned more.
Think P Bass. You have a good sound, so just adjust volume to taste & play.
You just, as Zappa said, shut up & play yer guitar.
How do you compare the Invective to the MT 15? Which one is crunchier?
MT15
