This video was so helpful. It was fun taking apart and finding where the source of NO suction was. Too bad i didn't think fully through prior to poking a hole in a hose but that can be easily replaced! Thank you again!
Thanks for posting this. I was able to save the vacuum. There was a lot of dust and a marker stuck up the hose. I just followed what you did. Thanks again.
My grandma used to have this piece of crap. I found out that it was clogged with carpet powder in March 2021, but didn't fix it until I visited her again in May 2022. By then, she still had the eureka, but also had a Hoover. Not too long after that, she threw the eureka away cause it was left in the rain. she still has the Hoover though.
Bad move. It wasn't necessary to take it all apart. Your motor sounded fine. The bottom hose was probably completely clogged. I took a baby brush through mine, twisting it and pulling it out multiple times, pulling out all kinds of dirt. It also had metal and string pieces and a zip tie that should not have been vacuumed up, which probably caused the clog ... but also, if the hoses are not connected properly, then it will not suction properly. So when you connect the hoses back together, make sure to line up the tab with the groove, and then twist it slightly clockwise into place. If you feel air coming out there, then you haven't connected the hoses properly. I hope all this helps. I just got done doing it today, and this vacuum works like a charm now, with really good suction power! Make sure your belt is moving freely but not too freely, or your belt could be broken. And make sure you have your tank and filter clean too. With a good motor like that, it should work beautifully.
**TO:VID CREATOR/ANYONE WITH THIS VAC** have you by any chance see the floor settings knob from the bottom where you can remove the brush n belt? Does it connect to anything? Bkuz I took mine apart (not as much as u did lol )to clean it but noticed the knob doesn't connect to anything and looks just like a fake knob you'd see on a toy? Neither does it in any way shift the brush like other vacuumes do wether I turn it on or off after changing the settings..? Is mine broken? Or? Lol... Help someone please
girl i got me one for christmas i feel the same way. worked perfectly for the first 2 rooms and then the suction cup got clogged and i had to keep manually unclogging it until i watched this and finally unscrewed everything and there was all the cat hair waiting for me. not happy at all owning a vacuum that makes (US) have to do the work
@ChromaticFitness Dragon so i actually like the vacuum now, whenever it’s start leaving dirt lines or just spitting everything back out you just take it apart completely piece by piece and clear out all the dust and clogged up hair. once i did that it worked perfectly. it’s an easy fix and yeah it takes work but it’s a really good vacuum.
No offense but becayse of this for soem reason it made me think seeing ya pf name.. in a good way this makes the "give it to teddy" song from a funny tv show called bobs burgers come to mind
Eureka vacuum are worthless. One of the worst vacuums had it for less then a year and it gets clogged up and it won’t suck up the dust. I Want my money back
Thanks. I had just done a carpet removal and there was so much fiber at once it just got stuck way down the tube. Found a two foot long stick with a hook on it, and shoved it in until it pulled it out...lol.
TheTeddy214 I love your videos i make tons of vacuums video also my channel is poor on views also you should record your seld getting that same vacuum from maybe walmart because that vacuum was probly used from a garoge a musty on. from lou machados son that goses on my account 27/7 i wrote this commemt lol.
Thank you so much!! I would have spent a small fortune taking it in and I fixed it myself….THANKS TO YOU!
Saved me from buying a new vacuum! Thank you

Thanks. Mine had a clog from that hole down to the bottom. Works great now.
Awesome thanks! In comparison, mine wasn’t nearly as dirty as the one in the video and made me feel a lot better about mine haha
Wowww you took it completely apart cleaned it and then decide to junk it😱🙃🤣 try it one more time after you put it back together

I don’t blame you! I wish they still had vacuums with bags!
Look for used ones and see if they’re fixable or parts are available.
I guess I'll add a round piece of chocolate to my tool chest.
I changed the belt on a eu138b. Roller rolls, but not suction from the bottom roller. I emptied and cleared ports to. Motor powers on.🤔
Big help repairing my vacuum. Thank you!

A long time l brought a eureka airspeed one and now it lost suction
What if there's nothing in the filter, and there's some suction? I can't see anything in the line.
There can be stuff in the suction fan

Wth have u been vacuuming 😂
You meant with
How do you clean the filter
I Had To Wash Mines & Let It Dry.
Might be under warranty. Maybe eureka will send you a new unit
ca31 are u sure the vacuum was clooged into the moter also the moter was shot
Lou Machado no it wasn’t
Dued if its shot it would not work
And it would probably wail like a siren you vacuum geeks are dumb
@@joshuaryanferguson3702if it was shot sometimes it sound bad like reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
He wasted the chocolate!
Cheap 50 dollar machies are not worth it. If you have bad ownership of a vacuum. Get a kirby from a thrift store amd it will last basicaly forever.
Can I have it
