Man I just want to thank you because I was just about to give up. I didn't think about pulling apart the entire canister and that's when I found a clump of trash in the hole. You gave me just the right amount of patients with your video. Thanks
You just saved me the cost of a new vacuum cleaner! Turns out it was just a clogged hose. Thanks, for giving me the courage to take my vacuum apart, was great to have you walk me through it.
Thank you so, so much for this video. I have had this vacuum for two years and did my normal cleaning of everything and I still had no suction. You show in your video that the large plastic piece inside the canister comes apart into two parts which I did not know about. What I had to clean out was a lot of disgusting stuff after two years not cleaning it but it now works great. Thanks for saving me money not have to replace my vacuum.
I disassembled mine for nothing because my clogs were all inside the hoses, they just wouldn't shake loose. Had to blast 'em out with water pressure. Still, it felt cool taking it apart and putting it back together. Thanks for the tips, probably saved me the price of the vacuum and saved B+D a scathing Amazon review.
I have to unclog all the things shown completely every 4-5 times I use mine. Granted I have 2 cats and some old carpet. It's a powerful little unit, but I have to take it all apart to use it.
I cleaned mine out a few days ago and similarly to you found a bunch of dust and trash clogging basically every single hole/crevice possible. I cleaned it all out but that didn’t help fix my vacuum. I notice the canister doesn’t fill with dirt. It also spits the dirt out at the back of the vacuum... what could that possibly be?
when dust comes out of motor then the filter is plugged . also remove the filter and see if that improves the suction (only do this for 1 min ) if you still have no suction the hose or connections are plugged. CLEAN FILTER >>>MAKE SURE IT DRY OR ITS LIKE A MAGNET TO DUST.
I have the same one but mine dies out after a few minute , the motor gets hot and I think it a auto shut off I took it apart and cleaned everything is it junk since it get hot
This is why appliances have instruction manuals, what this dude has done is in the instructions under maintenance. This is another reason why we are such a disposable society, because many of you would have just thrown it out and bought another one, adding more crap filling our landfills with junk that didn’t need to be there if you had only taken 5 mins to read the manual that came with it,
Yes these vacuums are junk. I bought one in a pinch when my old one died and have used it a few times. It works, which is about all I can say, it’s a pain to disassemble and clean, I would suggest tossing it and spending a little extra to get something of better quality, I wouldn’t spend all that time troubleshooting. They’re ok for small spaces so might make a good spare and I wouldn’t expect it to last for any length of time. This was my first bagless vac and I’ll never get another one, that’s personal preference.
6 years later you are still saving peoples butts, so thank you. You just saved me $100 and about an hour drive. I hope you're doing well!

Mine has a very poor design. Gets clogged after one use. I'll never buy a black n decker sweeper again.
I hate this vacuum cleaner! It gets everything up, but clogs way too frequently.
here's my channel
