- I show you how to fix an Apple TV Remote in less then 1 minute. If you have issues where one or several buttons don't work, if its ghosting (doing crazy things without pressing anything) or has a slow or delayed response then try this quick fix. This should help about 50% of you. Good Luck.

Amazing!!! This worked for me. The forward button on the track pad was stuck and as I tried this technique the button got released and the remote started working again. Thanks for sharing.

Same here lol 😂 but I found another video on UA-cam. Just press the menu button and the plus up volume button at the same time. Close up to the tv just for a few seconds and it works.
I have had issue with the remote trackpad sometimes not working or having a delay. It got worse over time. I kept thinking it was a connection issue. Always resetting or unplugging my Apple TV to see if that would work.

Thanks for this info I also figured out that you can look at the AppleTV box and figure out which of the buttons is not making the light flash on The AppleTV box when you press the remote, then work the heck out of that area take some compressed air and blow it in there upside down mine eventually started working again, at least somewhat but it’s still a little sticky and wants to continually be stuck in an up position. thanks

I had some debris in my Apple TV remote. Before I did it all the buttons would work but the touch pad didn't depress fully and you could hear something in there. Also there was a delay when clicking or swiping if it worked at all. Tried cleaning the outside and canned air. But didn't help. After I did this it worked normally. Also did the Menu + Volume Up button to rest the remote and that made the response time much faster. Try both! if your Apple remote doesn't work what do you have to lose?

this works sometimes btw but a lot of times (if your remote died from low battery ) and you recharged it it needs to be reset and re-“paired” again
