Apple TV Remote volume to TV suddenly stops working EASY FIX

After a firmware update to the Apple TV Remote the volume buttons and mute button stopped working via IR, to fix this reset the remote by holding the home button and the volume down button for 5 sec. this will reset the remote and fix the problem.
