Love the look and the little details. Looks like a small fun FPV plane that can also get decent range / flighttime.
At least your hands are out of the way when launching. No motor in the rear to nick you
I made a video on how close your hands come to the prop for pushers when hand launching and it's safer than you think (if you are sensible) ... Happy flying
@@Painless360 this is true, as long as the CG is correct...😂
Can't wait for the flight review!
Already done. Link in description!
I want this Wing sooo!!!! bad. Can not wait for these to come to the states. amazing design atomrc. thanks P360 for the first look
Fantastic review, Lee! Thanks a bunch! 😃
It really looks like a fun airplane! Looking forward to the flight video!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Love the design, Pure cuteness!!! going to get one ❤
Woah, so many nice touches here in design I would love to see on the dolphin.
* FPV hard plastic nose
* clipped rudder inserts!
* 40A ESC, I just fried two dolphins with the 30A, one of the maiden climb out.
* metal geared servos
* alternate flat canopy for mounting
* lights
* screwed canopies!! I have lost two rear hatches on the dolphin, only found one.
Dolphin PRO maybe? 😂
@@Painless360 I would buy it immediately. Love the plane, definitely has areas it can be improved on and many are in this design.
Remember the E-Flite _Delta Ray?_ There's a bit of a resemblance, if you take away the wingsuit tail. I definitely agree they got the name wrong with _Penguin_ on this little bird, maybe _Manta Ray?_ And where did the sky blue come from for the nacelles? An odd little plane, this, but I'm sure it will be a solid performer with *lots* of QOL features. It's the perfect size for a little jaunt in the park after work. Thank you Sir,
Having made a thumbnail with the INAV logo by the side... it is almost exactly the same shade of sky-blue. Co-incidence?

_"Sokath, his eyes opened!"_
If not, then you have un-ignorant-ed me quite good-ly, Sir, lol
Don't worry. I got it. Live long and prosper (I'm old enough to be more TOS ;) )
Fabulous video. Cant wait for the maiden and flight video Lee.
Really solid review
its penguin time!
thanks for the review
Extremely useful review as always! Intriguing design - I think we can expect a wide speed envelope here.
Looks like a fun flyer for low-level FPV .. chasing, dodging trees, etc. Look forward to seeing what the maiden reveals. :)
Perfect name, it looks like a penguin 🐧, I like when my models look like a toy and not a government spy death machine. We are losing the battle of public perception, make every model look completely harmless
Interesting indeed. Built about 5 quads in a year and been eying the wings. Started just to freestyle like my amazon gps drone never could but I'm inherently curious and fascinated by all of it also. So that 99 dollar kit is very tempting.
I like the look of it actually, I might have to think about this one. Now it’s just a matter of which fpv setup to choose I have my normal analogue or I might go for an O3 air unit, as I have an avata.
Gday Painless....
Do you remember Ari that worked at ZOHD???
Im starting to think he must now be working for AtomRC & he took a cop[y of our old chats with him!
Atom have sure been hitting the nail on the head (in my opinion) with what they've been releasing & look forward with interest to see how this one turns out as well.
Thanks for sharing!
Ari is a fab guy and one of the best contacts I've worked with in vendor-land. I was such a shame when he left ZOHD/SonicModell. I'm pretty sure he is not at AtomRC, if he were, I'm pretty sure I'd have heard from him ;)
Lots of new stuff in the pipeline from ZOHD (see my video on the Black version of the Drift video)... Happy flying!
Hi Lee, I happen to really like this one. Yeah it's a little weird looking but I like that.
Hello. Very helpful video! I’m basically a newbie to this hobby since I’ve been away for so long. I just started assembling my RTH Penguin. Where does my radio receiver plug in, and the servo leads please? I have a Radiomaster ER6 receiver.
it depends on how you want to connect it. I'd use a CRSF connection and solder it as shown in the manual using a spare UART (3 maybe?) - cdn.shopifycdn.net/s/files/1/0377/3051/7125/files/F405_NAVI_MANUAL.pdf?v=1667894083
@@Painless360 ok thank you. I’m vaguely familiar with those terms but not sure how to do that. I’ll look through some more videos 😉
Very odd looking, but gives it it's charm I think - do like! Although so far every pnp I have bought from AtomRC has been a kit and needs a few evenings with your soldering iron out to bring it to a pnp standard. Not sure if its just the FC ones that comes as true to the word pnp, or it's just the reviewers who get these.
The setup on these from the factory needs work for the INAV setup. I've been sent a few, and bought a few too and not had issues with wiring soldering here.. yet...
With all that wing, how's the roll rate? High enough to go flying between trees in forests?
Very possibly. The default travek on the ailerons and elevator is huge!!
I would like to know when you get a chance to test the plane how much current is pulled at full chat, I have a load of spare 18650's and they are high current cells. thanks in advance stay safe Lee
Same question here!
It is now part of the standard testing. See the Baby AR Wing PRO video from yesterday. I have a standard format that tries to stay away from almost useless 'football-pundit' language to describe the various area of ability.. Happy flying!
The ESCs are not even conformal coated. I would also change the name to "Moth".
People lack imagination when naming products. Like the French helicopter called "Gazelle"!
I think they are wedded to the 'marine mammal' naming convention but, if there weren't 'The Moth' is a fab name for this!
@@Painless360 Naming flight products after marine mammals is odd by itself!
Will it make CG with 4x21700 4200mah Lithium batteries?
Stay tuned, I'm testing layouts... Happy flying
err, nice, okay it fell out of the ugly tree and hit a few twigs on way down but its also different, and i bet it gives a long flight time, might be tempted at some point
I think it's a bit of an ugly duckling - hopefully it will actually be more swan :) AtomRC do come up with some interesting designs!
It is an odd looker. In the flying footage from AtomRC it looks less weird. Excited to see how it flies!
Seems the name is a tad off ,given it's named after a flightless bird. Perhaps a mini sub would make a better penguin? Penguins are highly maneuverable in water perhaps with a tad of motor differential this little plane will cut the air as well as its namesake cuts water ? Take care.
The United States is sending "penguin" drones to Ukraine in their latest aid package. Surely this is not the drone they are sending. I suppose it could be since I have seen Ukraine using other off the shelf Drones.
I wouldn't imagine it is, but you never know at the moment!
Dang that ugly :D
