I have the swordfish. Made some 150mm inserts to put between the wing's and fuse on calm days for absolutely stunning, floating glidability. Very impressed with the quality considering the price point.
I also own all three planes. my favorite model is the Penguin, followed by the Swordfish. The dolphin flies very well, but I always have a little apprehension when taking off with the Dolphin and its propulsive propeller.
I enjoy my Dolphin. Versatile aircraft. 4s lipo for speed runs. 4s 21700 for distance. Fantastic for cloud surfing. I love the Dolphin but am thinking about a Swordfish.
I have all 3 and the Penguin is my favourite. No question the Dolphin is the fastest. I find the Swordfish a little boring but it does everything right. The Penguin is a great mix and I run it much faster than the Swordfish. I find it quirky fun, stable and it’s the easiest to travel with. I only have one O3 unit and it’s in the Penguin. The rest get OG air units. It’s also very quiet. You can’t go wrong with any choice here, especially with the ready to fly FCs built in.
Hi Lee, Great video and review of your favorite model. Personally I like the Swordfish, but I love the size of the Penguin. I do like the Dolphin, but the size is the only thing I don't like. Thanks again for the video and information about these planes.
I have all 3 and do love my Dolphin! I have to disagree on the Penguin being efficient. I find it gobbles up the battery fairly quickly even when flying slowly. Maybe different props will help...
Can you make a video series, from unboxing the wing to wiring, setting it up etc. with a O3? Would be really appreciated since there arent much infos available online on this topic.
Just recently converted my swordfish into a VTOL, I love both swordfish and dolphin, I feel dolphin is more suitable for Acrobatics and swordfish is better for long range flight. The penguin just looks too weird to me.
Hey Lee, what would be your input on the most "stuff in a backpack"-able flying setup? I'm going back to school soon, and my primary transportation is going to be a motorcycle, so I wanted to put together a rig I could stuff in my my backpack and hop on the bike to go fly.
I feel with the way I'll mostly fly the Swordfish would be the one for me. Right now I have an Aeroscout (Replacement on its way). So would this make a good second plane?
I replaced the motors (T-Motor f2203.5 2850kv) on the penguin and re propped (gemfan 4052 tri) it goes 100mph and handles like an f22 its a sweet plane, I can do all kinds of crazy stuff, it's so maneuverable. Also using differential thrust.
I'm always looking for endurance and subsequently have two 4s 5000mah 21700's in my Dolphin. However it needs a bungee for reliable take off . What would you reckons the most 4s mAh could be squeezed into the Swordfish ? I'd like something a bit more stealthy(quiet 😉)
You reapplied the 'Diff all' acc orientation and calibration settings you stored before you upgraded ? See my video on how to upgrade easily.. Best of luck
Unnnfortunately, my dolphin came with 2000kv version🤦♂️ can you suggestz what size ita good for replacing that 2000kv? Maybe about change esc to 1500kv 28xx? And 50A its enough? I'm thinking about use 4s and 6S with 28xx 1500kv
I noticed on a youtube video a person with only one hand. It struck me that they may not be able to use a TX without modification, If its already been done then I apologise. My thoughts were having the elevator and aileron on a stick with the slider being used for the throttle and a to flick momentary switch, (neutral in the middle and left or right rudder by flicking the switch. I am pretty sure this could be done on an edge TX system. Am I too late to the party with this. Just think it seems a shame those disadvantaged by lack of hand operation don't get to enjoy the hobby
Thanks Lee, I have the Swordfish and Penguin, my flying mate has the Dolphin..All are Awesome we think..But what's up with these Names ? 😮..I Hate to tell an observer at the field..."Uh,..Ummm...it's a Penguin".
My penguin runs 4s 1750kv 6x6 prop. My dolphin runs 4s 1400kv 7x7 prop. I perfer penguin more than dolphin, The launch of penguin is much easier than dolphin. And fast and efficient among most the the throttle ranges.

Your content is literally reading my mind lately!
Nice video with some really good info on all 3 planes. This will help Me make up My Mind as to which 1 I would like to have. Thank You Sir.

Awesome, Lee! Thanks a bunch! 😃
Really impressive models indeed!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

How odd. Definitely not the experience here. See my full review as cruise throttle will affect flight time dramatically... Happy flying

Check out the INAV for beginners series. I don't use 03 stuff here but I have made a few videos on the DJI setup needed for INAV too.. Best of luck!

Can I ask what parts you used and where I may get them please
The Penguin is my favourite!
Hi Lee thanks for the uploads for me, Dolphin looks the best, but I would choose 💯💯💯Swordfish.💯💯💯
Fun thing I figured out about the swordfish is that it somehow really enjoys flying inverted way more than it should lol.
I need to try that next flying day! :D
It really does.

Baby AR wing Pro and a RadioMaster Pocket... Happy flying
Thanks Lee
Somehow I’ve ended up with all 3!
That is not a bad thing!! Happy flying!

Sounds like a good choice. Happy flying
I have the dolphin and swordfish, both running walksnail. I love them both, you cant go wrong.

Thankyou for that , I agree the Dolphin is a great all-rounder.
How about adding 'Wind' tolerance to your list , it'd be very useful 😉
Check out the specific reviews as that is covered.... Happy flying

Not sure. I'd have to see when I get back. Battery bay is not as long as the Dolphin from what I recall... Happy flying
4s2p 18650 is about max
Newb..Does this come with OSD.. ATOMRC Penguin 750mm Wingspan Twin Motor EPP FPV RC Airplane Fixed Wing KIT/PNP+S/RTH With LED Navigation lights PNP+S
It will support an OSD in a FPV setup but that depends on the version you buy and what FPV system you use. Happy flying
I upgraded the swordfish to inav 6.1.1 but now fc orientation for upside down isn’t correct please now do I correct that?
You reapplied the 'Diff all' acc orientation and calibration settings you stored before you upgraded ? See my video on how to upgrade easily.. Best of luck
Does anyone know what of those models are better for flying in windy conditions?
It depends on how windy. Normally, you need a model with more mass and more thrust to handle higher winds... Happy flying

My Dolphin I fly here is one of the originals. I really like the motor and prop setup. It is using a 5x5 prop... Happy flying
I'm running a 2826 1400kv, with a folding 8x5 prop. Battery is 4S 3300mah giving about 20 minutes flight time. Good luck with any chang3s you make.
Hi Lee, Which of these would you recommend for someone entering the hobby currently looking for an upgrade from a HBZ Carbon Cub trainer.
It depends on what you want to do with it. All are good choices...
@Painless360 thank you! That helps! I was worried one might be especially harder to fly than the others. I love what the penguin can do. Cheers
All are lovely and forgiving with lots of fun. For relaxing flying - Swordfish, for portability - Penguin, for all round - Dolphin !:D
Swordfish is the easiest to launch and the tamest to fly, so it makes a good upgrade choice for a newbie.
Is it worth move from T1 to penguin? T1 was nice but feel like a bit sluggish for fast proximity move.
If you are after a model with more responsiveness then the Penguin is a nice idea...
@@Painless360 thanks 😏 getting it soon

what batteries do you use in each one of these planes?
All are covered in the full flying reviews. Links in the description. Happy flying

Coming soon, the ostrich and the emu. I do think the Penguin is a fun looking airplane.
Your highest uptime is the swordfish even with running dual props?!
I'm not the best person to ask as I don't try and fly for endurance... Happy flying

I ordered the swordfish and it got lost in shipping so I never ordered again. I’ve had too dolphins and it’s definitely my go to plane
