It goes without saying that dal bhat and momos are popular dishes in Nepal. So I called in Backstreet Academy (the only company to do food tours in Kathmandu) to shed insight into other top foods in Nepal. Kanti, is my Kathmandu travel guide, taking me into secret spots and a Kathmandu that most tourists don’t know about. Its gonna be a Nepali feast!

Awesome video, Christine! I love all the food choices you have presented us in this two part tour you did in Nepal. I really like this tour, and will have to see if I can get in on the "secret tour," haha. I can't wait to get over there and take the food tour that you did, the young woman looks like she really enjoys doing it, and would make it a terrific experience!

+Englishman in Malta . I was there in 2008 and it didn't feel like much had changed either. Before leaving for this trip, I read trying street food on your own is not advised, which is also why I researched and took this street food tour. . You need to know the right vendors or eat at restaurants. Refrigeration practices aren't always strong. =)
