Great job. You’re a better man than me to take on a challenge like this. I’m all thumbs. Keep up the good work.

Couple of things I was able to do when I changed to headers (should have done this if you could have, less work to do it all at once). You can reach the O2 sensor closest to the bumper with a open end 22 mm wrench. The bastard heat shield screw over top of the turbo is easy to install when duct taped to the socket! Soak everything in PB Blaster for a few days before you start! Great DIY video by the way!

Thank for the feedback. The headers may come another time. Since it's a different workflow, the only thing I really need to do for that is lift it off the ground.

No i will not tell you i do not want to do it. That is exactly what i want to do with my car, but i am not a novice and have plenty of tools. What i also want to do is the downpipes to go with the sports cats... by the way very well done.. totally enjoyed it.

Great patience and good videography. You made me laugh when you said nuts are 5/8ths and others are 1/2".

My god those turbo heatshield screws on the top and back were an absolute fucking nightmare when I did this with my buddy. It still haunts me. On my '19 C4S I also needed to remove the silver heatshield wrapping the muffler (pictured @26:30) in order to get enough clearance in the back to slide the OEM cats off the turbo's studs. We tried it any which way and there was no way around it to get the OEM cats and muffler removed.
Thanks for the video, it would be great if you could link the various tools in your video description for future reference.

Great effort and even better reward. That sounds is awesome. My Softronic is on the way… Soul cats next. Even though I’m a ‘handy’ guy, I might find someone to take care of this tough. I assume someone that has done this before and has a full bridge, might be able to get this done in a day. Thanks for making the video!

Thank you for doing these videos. I know you don't have to and it also takes a lot of work. I just did this same thing on two Turbo Ss in the past two weeks. I have a lift which made it easier. Your Carrera is much more difficult though. Nice job.

Fantastic video! If I am not mistake, that is the entrance to Weston off of SR 84, right? I grew up in Sunrise next to the Sawgrass Mills Mall. I just did the Numeric Shifter to my 991.2 C2 and love it, and have been following your build to get some ideas for my car. Thanks again for posting.

@@fickstit2839 I grew up off NW 136th Ave (N Harrison Pkwy now) so I know that area well, and my parents still live down there, so I travel down all the time. I also did the Numeric pedals just like you did. They are fantastic! Now I really want to do the Soul mods and the steering wheel controls like you did :) Looking forward to seeing more videos from you on any future mods!

Did mine about the same time you did yours. Did you get any condensation drip where they meet the muffler? I had a small drip at start up but repositioned the clamps and gave it a good tightening. I can’t believe how many similar things we have done to our cars. Doing my air filter this weekend. Mines a Targa so it is that extra challenge to work around the service roof.

    Hi,
I recently watched your video on changing the exhaust system of the Porsche, and I’m considering doing the same modification on my car. I wanted to reach out and ask for your advice on whether it’s worth doing it myself or if I should look for a professional or garage with a reasonable price.
I’m also curious about any potential ECU updates, sensor issues, or warning lights that might arise when changing the whole exhaust system. Did you encounter any of these challenges, and if so, how did you address them?

I’ll be honest, this is not the easiest DIY for an amateur/novice mechanic. But it’s doable as I demonstrated. I would not have taken on this project as a DIY if it was my only vehicle not knowing how long I may be without a drivable vehicle. I would say that whether or not it’s worth it is really more about how much you would value having someone else do it for you. In my case, I valued more the chance to do it myself and learn even at the expense of a lot more time and frustration.

Also, no issues with sensors or warning lights or anything like that. The Soul model works within the necessary emissions requirement to avoid those.

Hey try it in sport plus and let me know how it sounds. On mine, sport plus keeps boost in a totally different mode and you hear the turbo whistle all the time. It still has the cracks and pops but not as pronounced or not as much as in sport mode.
