Very well done. I like what I hear. We are living in the Midwest. We retired about 3 years ago. Only been to Alabama once and liked the friendly people. Plan on visiting again within a year. May consider moving there.

I'm from Philly, been living in West Va for the last 20 years. My sister has lived in Daphne for years. She also has a condo in Orange beach. I'm flying in Saturday 4-6-24 staying until the 30th. I can't wait!

Daphne were named after my father great grand she had a log house in Daphne by the old jail it did not come out of the Bible’ important knowledge we all should know

You can get drinks and live music at a few places near Daphne like Blue Gill, Boudreaux’s, and downtown Fairhope but if you want more of a party scene you need to go over to downtown Mobile or our beach.
When you say close to the beach, what is the name of the beach? Do they allow dogs on the beach?
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are awesome but sorry, dogs aren’t allowed on the beach.
How do i avoid alligators if we wanted to move there?
They aren’t that big of a problem and you would rarely see them unless you went looking for them. Anywhere there is water, there is a potential but they would rather keep to themselves. I had a condo in Gulf Shores and there was a swampy area close to where we parked. There were several lived in there but I rarely saw them and they weren’t a nuisance. Hope that helps.
