Thanks for taking the time to do this review. I currently own an RX7 I've had for almost 1.5 yrs now, I've had my Era for for about 2 months now, and I owned a Carbon One for about 2 weeks right after release. I'm a Bowtech fan, so I really wanted to like it, but prefer the other 2 instead. If you are giving points for draw cycle, don't you NEED a category for fps/energy? That Era w/ Perf mods is probably 12 fps quicker than the Carbon One, and the RX7 another 2-4 fps faster than the Elite. Also, fully setup w/ similar accessories, my Era has somewhat less feedback than the RX7. Despite the tuning disadvantages of the Hoyt, once it's set for you, it's set, and the back/sidebar mounting locations of the Hoyt and Elite are MUCH better than the Bowtech.
Rx7 ultra all day. Comfort control shooting 50 plus arrows most days and still get excited like the first day of shooting after perfect tune. 80# 31 draw and its a lightweight rocket launcher.
I was always a fan of elite, but you are talking about the era being much faster with performance mods, well yeah it feels like 80 pounds . Elite use to have a really smooth easy draw cycle , well when they went for speed with these new cams, they totally sold out to an extremely stout draw cycle.
@@ShaneBolerHunting yep, definitely more hump in the draw, but it gives more options. Smooth mods still retain that Elite smooooth feeling. Win - win 😁

Did you have the Bowtech and the Elite both with Performance mods or both on Comfort Mods...
The let off adjustment on the era is a huge plus. 70-90% in 1% increments, and combined with the 1/4 inch draw length adjustments, you can really customize the draw cycle and hold to your liking.
Era also has the option to switch between cable stops, limb stops or both. Carbon One has the FlipDisc built in which is great. Era has the option for smooth mods (have them in my Verdict and they are great) but costs extra.
I owned a Omnia and everything was great about that bow except the sight picture! Cables in sight window bad no matter what we did! I just couldn’t gel with that so went to Bowtech.
Speed and gross weight of the bow should have higher importance than say something subjective like how the grip feels, especially when grips are changeable. It’s nice to have a light chassis so that you can add weight to balance and dampen the bow. Starting with a heavy riser limits that. Otherwise good comparison.
Durability, Speed & Performance and weight should be categories. A big part of the Hoyt for me is that they dry fire their bows in a stress test. Now... how much of that is marketing hype, but still it's a selling point none the less. And performance is the other big thing. I'll trade performance during the shot for some vibration after the shot since these are mainly hunting bows. Personally I care less about vibration since it's after the shot, doesn't affect my arrow flight... unless you're arguing that force could have been in the arrow... then maybe. Categories that I feel are subjective: Grip and Fit and Finish. I'd personally swap those two for Durability and Speed/Performance.
This felt like it was so not objective. And how is weight not a category when talking about carbon? That is the one of the biggest reason to spend that kind of money? Or if your going to be objective, put the carbon one on performance. So disappointed with the best bow reviews. Especially because eliminating bows based on ATA. Sad.

I've thankfully had zero issues with the factory strings that are on that bow, and will replace them in the fall. You keep talking bow quality, yet the parts that make them operate matter JUST as much as the completed device.
Would agree with your decision because of the criteria except after shooting all 3 u showed I'd buy a PSE mach 1. If ata didn't matter than mach 34 wins

WOW!!! Man Josh I really notice a lot of your bow reviews your really anti Hoyt bias on everything that they make. Can you please kindly tell why, what is it that you have something against Hoyt I notice that another from. I think that you just don't really like their products!!!
30-31 ATA bows are for the vertically challenged. Test carbon bows of all lengths instead of trying to fit everything into some self-imposed box for confirmation bias.
I Honesty feel fit and finish is the least important and shouldn't be as much of a factor, like for instance the weight of the bow is more important. Just my opinion tho. Good video either brother 👍👍
Love my Carbon One! And for any of you military out there they give a great discount on one bow per year for you. Took away some of the sting for going Carbon this year🏹
Would be interesting to add a catagory for OEM accessories, maybe? A lot of these flagship bows have features that can only really be utalised by using OEM quivers/stabs/rests ect. I also feel like most people shopping for a new flag ship would be more likely to fit it out with OEM gear so it all matches
I own both an rx7 and a carbon one. Both nice bows. BUT. I like and shoot better with the rx7. Still playing with the carbon one. Haven’t had the best luck with it. Just ordered an era and a rx7 ultra I will let you know. I do have different rests and sights but I’m ordering all the same from here on out.
Did that bow fire unexpectedly when you were pulling the back wall or am I imagining things? 😂 you held your composure very well if that is what happened! Excellent content
I would like to see draw and vibration compared a approximately the same speed. That way the fast bows dont get penalised, when you have the option of turning down the draw weight to match the speed of a slower bow. Really enjoy the reviews, waiting for the longer ATA comparison.
Fit & Finish isn't important if someone is straight up looking for the best performing bow. Same goes for price. I'd eliminate both of those categories. But your vid is best bow of the year not best performing bow of the year so maybe I'm wrong :D
Hey josh, good video great review but alittle bias towards bowtech much? Tune ability i get it fit and finnish i get it, price eh in Canada not much difference. But honestly thats where it ends. I can't say much about the carbon era, never shot one.

I do not like how the Omnia, Era and other new Elite bows have the cables in sight window! You can not tune it out on the 2 I have owned! If they fix that they may have one of best on market for cam features for sure. I owned both and just could not get use to it.
So this is not about the BEST carbon bow it's about 30 inch carbon bows SO how can it be the BEST carbon bow if the PSE is not included. What's length got to do with it.What a croc of you know what.
Did something happen after the first shot with the rx7, or just a editing mishap ? First shot happens you smile then it cuts. comes back after with let’s try the rx7
Would be interested to see a short video addressing what you like in a bow and what is important to you. You often throw out little bits and pieces here and there but an overall baseline for what you like may be helpful when other people compare your thoughts on a bow to what they are looking for.
Comical,MFJJ,,,,you're complaining about things and yet you ding Hoyt and not the other two. We know you're a Bowtech fan,and you simply favored Bowtech. Elite had zero features, and you still scored it same as Hoyt who has a ton of features, granted nothing to adjust cam lean except the old school way. I love your content, but this was a fail. Sorry. Hoyt is a far smoother bow than those two hand down. Put them on a DB meter after you clearly set the cam time on a drawboard. The Elite isn't even close t the other two. Hoyt is a far more superior sturdier bow, less rattle and roll. But whatever. I am not a fan of the subjected judging, and the scoring that didn't match to your thoughts. Go back on what you said, and how you scored. You contradict yourself. You should do better than this. But the Mohawk is on point.

WOW!!! Man Josh I really notice a lot of your bow reviews your really anti Hoyt bias on everything that they make. Can you please kindly tell why, what is it that you have something against Hoyt I notice that another from. I think that you just don't really like their products!!!
I would have added weight and speed as categories.
Took away some of the sting for going Carbon this year🏹
Who gives a military discount?
FK Mathews. 😂 due to the expensiveness of their accessories, I would expect a $5000 after all. So bye
Did that bow fire unexpectedly when you were pulling the back wall or am I imagining things? 😂 you held your composure very well if that is what happened! Excellent content
100% but we've all done it lol
Real speed using an arrow you can build based on your 30" draw length. Probably closer to ATA speed.
Why not do the updated levitate from PSE? It’s close in axle the axle and unlike Hoyt actually changed some things.
I would like to see draw and vibration compared a approximately the same speed. That way the fast bows dont get penalised, when you have the option of turning down the draw weight to match the speed of a slower bow.
Really enjoy the reviews, waiting for the longer ATA comparison.
I know it was released in 2022, but you should have include the PSE Levitate. Good review though.
I shot the Elite Era and Omnia and the Hoyt Rx7 and Rx7 ultra
in my hand the RX7 ultra was by far the best bow, then the Omnia, then the rx7 and era felt even, not the same, but even
i know the omnia isnt carbon...
I do not like how the Omnia, Era and other new Elite bows have the cables in sight window! You can not tune it out on the 2 I have owned! If they fix that they may have one of best on market for cam features for sure. I owned both and just could not get use to it.
Wearing a Hoyt shirt, so we know the real winner 😂!
He wore that to soften the blow when you started hating on them
Test like this with you counting is pretty dumb. Go outside an shoot them 20 to 70 yards for feel. Have diffrent people blind test for feel
Speed and weight are important, in my opinion. Love all the stuff you're doing on the channel!
Why doesnt bowtech get a 10 if it is the LEADER in the industry in tunabliity?
Personally I think the weight and speed rating are more important than the finish and back wall sound when buying a bow but that’s just me.
Would be interested to see a short video addressing what you like in a bow and what is important to you. You often throw out little bits and pieces here and there but an overall baseline for what you like may be helpful when other people compare your thoughts on a bow to what they are looking for.
I was recently gifted a brand new Oneida Phantom. I guess I’ll work with that.
Would love to see the Mach34 in there. Best carbon bow on the market
To be honest I’m not really surprised with the outcome. But still good information overall
Still shooting my Hoyt matrix , never found one that I thought was better
The Matrix also looks the best in my opinion
What about bow weight as a category?
Lol I knew you were going to pick the Bowtech before I even watched the video. It’s slower and heavier than the elite but you’re a Bowtech homer.
@podiumarcher do you ever get your beard hairs pulled out when you're shooting? I have a couple of times 😅
How are you doing this test with out the king of carbon bows?? The pse Mach 34!!!!
Although I wanna see it... If Mathews makes a carbon bow, my wife's gonna be reaaaaal mad lol.
I bet Mathew’s does a light weight metal before they do carbon
Weight. Should probably weigh the carbons.
You should also put weight as a category. Most important for a carbon bow comparison.
If the carbon bow is really no lighter than it's aluminum counterpart then... is it really in the race?
How about you add speed to that comparison, but do it with your hunting arrow instead of the IBO speed arrow.
Isn't the purpose of a carbon bow is to be very light and under 4 lbs bowtech is 4 lbs almost the same as a none carbon bow ?😊
I started in 1979 with a pse pacer and shot deer you people are just nuts with all this not picking there all great bows
You are over accounting for tuneability. You count it as it’s own category and in the special features.
Elite wins once stabilizers are added. The weight will matter more than slight vibration difference.
shit draw cycle
Did you notice a difference with the string angles? I wear glasses and this matters greatly to me for setting peep height and head position.
Why not include the carbon levitate? The elite is 31.5 and pse 32
How bout a carbon prime bow? Along with mathews for next year.
But the Mohawk is on point.
bowtech on top
I’ve seen it said a couple of times now weight of the bow and what I would call hunting arrow speed
Never owned a bowtech bc they don’t make one with a 24in draw length but it’s a nice bow
It would be super cool to see the bow your shooting while your shooting it, after all the video is about the bow correct?
