When a video game trailer has more love to it than an entire TV series with a massive budget. Crazy how good the final product looks when you have people who actually care about something.
Yeah the new show reminds me of like, Power Rangers or something. Pretty disrespectful to the series.
@@youtuber55629 dude I literally was thinking that the whole time. Especially the part when the girl is running with the two pistols shooting the elites. It was so fake looking and choreographed lol. Some of the latest boba fet episodes did that too. So sad. The guns looked like the power rangers movie released a few years ago in the née halo series.
Not only is this more visually pleasing but the behind the scenes is crazy, they actually made wearable elite armor and this trailer is lore aswell, its how Kat lost her arm and how Noble team lost 6, thats who B-312 (you) was replacing, this is how the original Noble 6 died.

Alex Tekle No one ever said he died on Reach. The Noble Six you play as is a spartan filling in for the Noble Six previously, who we knew died. To quote George: "So that's our new number six?"
I saw this trailer while I was having dinner with my parents, it aired in France, my dad saw how I was looking at the TV and bought me the game for christmas that year, when I opened my presents and saw the game i was so happy. When i finished downloading it I started a Rumble Pit game, i remember it very well, it was on sword base and i ended up with 2 kills, I killed twice the same player who just had the game for christmas, just like me, ten years later, Pablo and I are still playing together, sometimes on Reach, sometimes on Siege. Thanks dad for giving me such a good 2010 decade.

I'll always remember Reach because that's the very Planet that saved the Human race. It gave rise to two Hyper Lethal Spartans; one became the Ultimate Sacrifice, the other became a Legend.
not true. Noble 6 the "Hyper Lethal Spartan" is a Spartan III and they where made on the planet Onyx

You missed the point entirely. I know Noble Six is a Spartan III while MC is a Spartan II like Jorge. I meant to say that the Fall of Reach gave rise to two Spartans as in earning a reputation. It was because of Reach that led Noble Six to save the UNSC (at a cost), which led another Hyper Lethal Spartan (MC) to live on to his reputation as a legend. I hope you know what a Hyper Lethal Spartan means because otherwise, I don't understand why you placed quotes around it.

A Hyper Lethal Spartan is a Spartan who is regarded to be very deadly against even an entire army. MC and Noble Six are the only known Spartans to have such ratings.

Deliver Hope was made by a group of people that had passion for their product. Something that we’ll never see again
This is proof that a trailer that's less than 3 minutes, doesn't say 1 word, and has music that fits the theme made by people passionate about what they are making can be substantially better and tell a way more impactful story than a huge budget cash grab TV show. Just sad to see what we could've had instead of what we got.

Exactly. Even Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn had a better story than Paramount. And that was only five episodes. The other reason it's better is because they didn't force the Master Chief into the spotlight. In my honest opinion, his spotlight is in the mainline games as the main player character. In other media, he shouldn't be the primary focus of the plot. A few chapters/episodes here and there are fine, but not the whole thing. Also his face shouldn't be shown as any longtime Halo fan knows.
This hit a lot harder when you realize Thom knew he was going to die. The way he just stares into the ship’s interior knowing how big the armada is and didn’t just throw the bomb right away.
@@folctore he would've known. Watch his body language & posture, rly confident but loose. Accepting. A Spartan 3 would know how big a CCS class ship was by that point in the war, + he went from the Grav Lift room to wherever that big hanger was so he would've known how much time was left by then
@@folctore the bomb had a visible timer on it and there’s no way Thom would’ve missed that. Thom even took his time in assessing the interior of the ship. He knew he was gonna die.
Well Spartan 3s are like ODSTs, they drop feet first into hell without coming back, They were made for suicide missions.

You really have to give credit to Bungie for their attention to detail. The number Kat enters into the bomb to activate it is 051, probably in reference to Spartan 051, Kurt, who trained all of the Spartan IIIs.

Give Bungie credit for attention to details but at the same time this game, while excellent, was a middle finger to everyone that read books and was expecting theme to stick to them. Meanwhile the game messed up with events in the beloved books like Fall of Reach and Ghosts of Onyx (where Halsey for the first time meets a Spartan III from what I remember). So good job Bungie but I'm still pissed you didn't stick to the Fall of Reach story.
@@vejit Microsoft commissioned those books before Bungie was ready to tell that story. It was an FU to Microsoft for thinking they could dictate the lore without their input.
But either way you look at it, they don't conflict that much. Noble Team and Blue Team's stories were happening in tandem.

Bungie didn't want to develop Halo anymore. Blame the management of 343. Luckily, it's under new management so there's at least a chance for Halo, even if it is too late.
I will say, Halo 4 certainly holds a special place in my heart, especially with how raw the emotions were from Chief for the first time. That was amazing storytelling. The multiplayer for it was very fun too (got my first killionare by being a gauss cunner).
Halo 5 was alright. Wasn’t a huge fan of it cutting back and forth. Multiplayer was meh, but I did enjoy war zone firefight. That was nice. The loot boxes though, those sucked.
Infinite had a much better campaign, but I am not a huge fan of the open world concept for it. That would’ve been better for another spinoff like Reach. As for the multiplayer, it just isn’t the best. It’s a very good game in terms of an FPS, but it doesn’t feel like Halo. The lack of content at launch also hampered it quite a bit. It’s funny because the lack of content actually saved my love for Halo. It forced me to play through the games again through the MCC.

Bruh fr kinda hate how Kat died in Reach. Other nobles died giving a good fight but she just got shot midway. Shows how scary actual war can be to those who think its just an afterdark edit

Killing characters mid-sentence and out of nowhere is a bold move that should be done more in modern media when they want to depict war even somewhat realistically.

What I love about this extended trailer is that all of Noble team is present in it. Emile, jun & Carter you would miss in the blink of an eye but it all plays into the narrative.

I hate how cliché it sounds but they really don't make them like they used to.
I think it may be the best trailer for a video game. Still gives me goosebumps too. Was there as a 10-11 year old when Halo 1 released and this one just really built up. Bungie was so great at what they did for Halo, each game was such a fun wait and they delivered a lot after Halo 2 in terms of building hype around Halo 3, ODST and Reach.
Halo 2 is still my favorite online experience ever of 2004-2006, along with CSS, Runescape andWoW. Such a solid year.
I’d rather watch this a thousand times than watch one second of the new halo tv show.

The saddest thing in this trailer is that the battle depicted here, the battle of Fumirole was, according to the Halopedia, the official Halo wiki, ultimately a loss for the UNSC.

So much love went into the universe. Everything in it has a reason and a history. Even for 2001, when the first Halo came out, that was extremely rare. The only one that could rival it at the time was Elder Scrolls but even then, the lore for ES was half-assed.

Every now and then I come back to this trailer to feel. This trailer brings out emotion and I don't know why, it's just so mesmerizing and beautiful. Remember Reach
I agree. Been a while since I watched it and every time I'm reminded why I shed a tear or two when I watch it. Something about it gets to me...The feeling of complete and utter hopelessness is here. The fact that every single person there is fighting with everything they have for the brother or sister next to them..for humanity. Everyone dying together for each other. But then it pans out and you realize just how hopeless it really is. These men and women, albeit fictional, continue the fight nonetheless; this unified, heroic, sense of duty is what gets me every time. Maybe I'm looking into it too much haha
All of this in a few minutes, no dialogue...God I miss Bungie.

I still consider this one of the most emotional scenes in Halo. I guess this explains why Kat isn't that happy about a new Noble 6 showing up especially given that it wasn't that long after Tom's death.

love the angel motifs the spartan in noble 6's armour gives out when his jetpack opens, its like wings.

I might be 10 years late to the party, but I never knew that in Reach you filled Thom's shoes, it was really cool to learn the lore and story behind the game. I feel really bad for the hardcore fans and how they ruined your childhood game.
This still makes me cry after many years.

I remember being around 9 or so when this came out and my dad shouting me to come into his room asking me "is this one of those games you play?" and saw this ad on the TV. Will always remember that little moment
Man it's amazing how a two minute trailer does everything from the music to portrayal of Spartans as soldiers to showing the desperation of Humanity and the threat of the Covenant to even the plot(what little there is in a trailer) is better than the entire tv show. Hard to imagine that 10 million dollars were wasted for every episode of the show while this excellent trailer exists.
I also love how you know exactly what to feel with this trailer, and not a single word is spoken.
In middle school, right before reach came out; I had this halo reach guide app and I would watch this trailer over and over again on the car ride from school back to my house.
This music is engrained on my memory.
Literally crying rn. Bungie made the greatest ad campaigns of any game, imo. This, "Believe" and "I Love Bees" are absolute masterpieces.
All we want as Halo fans is to see Spartans, ODSTs, and marines all fighting for humanity against the covenant. We don't care about dramatic mumbo jumbo or about UNSC politics. We want to see this type of shit with perfect music. Warriors fighting side by side against an almost endless threat. Wish the creators of the show would understand that.
Halo has such an awesome lore to it yet for some reason they decided to get rid of it all. People don’t want political messages in there shows they want to see hero’s win against impossible odds and make us feel like we could win this fight even if we are out match because no matter how you tell
The story that’s what halo
Is all about a hero against all odds Is able to win and when he wins there is no celebration but rather he goes back to his pod saying wake me when you need me meaning he his ready to do it all again when needed a hero not for glory but a hero for people in need

If you haven't already seen it, I'd recommend watching the recent Halo animation by SODAZ. It's a fan animation but gives each branch (Spartans, ODSTs, marines) their due respect and shows them working in unison better than anything I've heard or seen

Sadly don't think that'll happen since Halo CE-Reach was the end of a 27 year war between a giant conglomerate of aliens and a human empire of sorts. Infinite is a fight against a rogue faction in one location over a super weapon.
@@ZSTE that rogue faction destroyed most of the UNSC. That rogue faction is trying 2 repair the halo ring in order 2 destroy the humans. That rogue faction is why the pilot can’t c his family just yet. And that rogue faction doesn’t see Chief as a threat like the Covenant did. I think halo infinite will revive that feel

The pilot himself even said, and I quote, “We lost, lost everything.” So u very much are 1 lone Spartan, fighting as humanity’s last hope. Literally, the entire UNSC has been destroyed by the banished (I think). Chief is the only one left. This makes ur role as humanity’s last hope extremely prominent, because if u fail, then not just humanity, but all life in the universe will cease 2 exist. So yes, u ARE humanity’s last hope. In fact, u r more than that this time. U r the universe’s last hope. To quote the latest infinite trailer, u r hope where there is none

Im 37 i bought this game mifnight release, its the only halo game that chokes me up. This was the best "goodbye and thank you for everything" bungie could have made for us and halo all the stops pulled, an emotional story, relatable and empathizable characters, it dripped with love for the fans and the franchise...this is still my favorite halo, thank you bungie, for everything ❤😢

I'm 20 now, remember starting gaming on my PS2 on the original star wars battle front, got the xbox 360 and dabbled in a few COD games, and then Halo: Reach came along. The most enjoyable game I ever played and the defining game of my youth. I haven't played console video games since then because any game I play now make my heart ache for Reach. Thank u to everyone was involved in making this masterpiece
This makes me miss the old times of halo reach on the 360 playing split screen with my brother for hours and just having so much fun. What i would give to play Forge or Firefight one last time with him

What we need is a Halo movie made by a Halo fan. Imagine seeing a lore-accurate Halo film on the big screen. Not only would it be super cool for fans, but it'd introduce non-Halo fans to the franchise. If the movie is lore-accurate, there's no doubt it'd have a massive mainstream appeal.
If Michael Bay can make Transformers cool, I know someone can make Halo mainstream cool.

I remember waiting in line on the midnight release, I was one of the first to get my Legendary Edition pre-order. I remember playing this with my friend's, until my fiancée at the time had class in the morning. So much nostalgia and fond memories...

I never knew the original noble six in this trailer died in the explosion which led to our Noble six joining the team. Well atleast thats what a friend of mine told me.

Gosh I love this game series so much. It brings back all the great memories. Back when times weren’t so tumultuous and bitter. It‘s just you and a couple of your friends against the covenant. Life was easier back then.

you can actually see each and every one of Noble team in this. Kat and Thom are obviously shown and are highlighted, but you can see Jorge with his minigun at 0:31, Emile on the left side of the screen briefly at 0:32, given Jun's POV at 0:49, and see Carter pull off a sick assassination on an elite at 0:56. I LOVE this trailer, my favorite game trailer of all time.
