I played the Master Chief Collection and Halo 5 this month and gotta say that Halo 4 and 5 are my favorite ones. Maybe the other ones are too old for today's standards idk. Now I will test out Infinite.

An airplane is "a powered flying vehicle with fixed wings and a weight greater than that of the air it displaces". A Pelican is a dropship, yes, but it also meets all the criteria of an airplane.

Halo 4 tried to be very similar to cod! Halo 5 tried to be similar both to titan fall and cod - Halo infinite now in present infinite cod movement… I’ve always thought halo 5 movement was fine it was nothing close to halos movement but infinite has the perfect movement/gameplay
We tend to be playing as cream of the crop soldiers who are the top of their respective class. In this case, the best soldiers of already hand-picked spartans IV's. Then you got Chief, who makes these guys look bad.

クリス Liam Geyer , Not exactly. When Jul Emdama took over the covenant were pretty much becoming the Galactic Empire after Return of the Jedi. The elites weren’t being trained as well as they should have and weren’t as coordinated as they should have been. If anything their weakness fits the story.

This shows the Spartans being future ninja warriors who just eliminated an entire field army in matter of minutes. Then when you go and play the game you spend most of it behind cover waiting for your shields to recharge because you keep getting shot at.

theres one difference, in the books the spartans didn't need thruster packs or ground pounds. They used their own speed, strength, weight and mass to do the damage that their guns couldn't.

Nah, the game's campaign is an abomination of horribly bad writing buried beneath outright lies and false marketing. It's a 4 out of 10 simply because of how pretty it looks, this cutscene and apparently the multiplayer.

Yes! Finally! Shields are incorporated into cinematics! In the beginning of the cinematic you can see Tanaka charge/crash into a Banshee, and afterwards her shields are glowing but then they recover. I hope we see this as a regular thing in cutscenes as it it is accurate to the lore because only in 4 was it actually in the scenes here and there, no other games in the trilogy of my knowledge did including Reach.
nah, as much and i wouldve loved to see blue team have a sequence like this, their much more subtle yet perhaps even more classy entrance was more fitting for their characters. it was a good contrast that reflected the different dynamics and attitudes of both teams.
not really brah, its just 343s attempt at making Halo their own game. Just look at how they got rid of Bungies armour and replaced Chief with their own armour in H4, changing all of the art style, new characters, and the fact that the game was majority Locke. Its a subtle attempt at 343 trying to take over the legacy.
This cutscene has more badassery, and action then the story of destiny and the multiplayer of cod. Now lets add hand to hand combat into the mix and we got a set game

Because this Covenant is just a remnant of the full force of the pre-schism Covenant, which was a nearly unstoppable juggernaut under the direction of the Prophets, with tech that far outclassed humanity's at the time. Now humans have more advanced tech from decades of fighting the Covenant, as well as from recovered Forerunner technology, and this Covenant, while still wildly fanatical and dangerous, doesn't have as much firepower or as many numbers as the old Covenant.
+Nike8pro As a human fan, i hope the covenant dumpedin lava the have a tactical warhead explode on top of them. jokes aside, this is the covenant after the great schism so its all shattered and not that powerful anymore, and with more spartans and forerunner techonology humanity now has a upper hand to survive from the covenant.
I get chills every time I see that screen fade to black with the Halo 5: Guardians text. The music is just so epic. It takes me back to the excitement I had when I first booted it up and realized I was actually playing Halo 5. I'll have the same feeling in Halo 6!
+Jonathan K well it seems that you're a little behind on how to story is going to be played so i'll tell you. you play as both chief and locke. in co-op your friends would play the other team members and not a second chief. If you have any other questions just let me know, i'll do my best to answer.

Basically your friend is playing the campaign and you decide to join him/her, so you join and on this part i'm not 100% sure but when you join you play as one of the squad member. i don't think you can choose. in pre game lobby, you might be able to choose a character but no one knows right now since the menu hasn't been shown.
After playing Halo 5 I actually came to the conclusion that this was a great game. I loved playing through the campaign and I can’t get over the Sanghelios missions. I pissed my pants when Arbiter came into the picture
Now these are Spartans. This and the cutscenes in Halo Wars showing Red Team fighting waves of Elites truly show what Spartans are capable of. There is a reason that the Covenant came to call Spartans "Demons".

Doing retcons and making spartans the omnipotent omniscient gods they are in this cutscene kinda makes Master Chief's achievements look less astounding than they are.
+Sealonark Heroic was how the game was meant to be "PLAYED". Gameplay =/= Lore necessarily. Also, its not a retconn, it's always been this way. And just because the Spartans are extremely efficient and powerful soldiers, suddenly Chief's achievements are lessoned? You mean surviving direct contact with a Forerunner warmaster, diving out of space with a bomb, blowing up two Halos and an Ark are diminished? Are you for real?
Have to keep in mind that they're using the most advanced version of the Mjolnir Armor ever created, weren't trained from a young age, they weren't genetically different, or had as severe augmentation's done to them. What the Chief, and the other Spartan II's did was basically this, with less advanced armor, and greater skill, a Spartan II vs a Spartan IV if given all of the same tech advancements and weapons the Spartan II's would win.
Not like-for-like exactly, but they do showcase ground pounds, thruster packs and the fast-paced fighting with sprint. I'd imagine things would look a lot different on Legendary difficulty :P

As much as i love this trailer of Fireteam Osiris I'm glad we'll see Captain Lasky, Dr. Halsey and Commander Palmer again in Halo 5 Guardians but i do wish they could show just a little more of Master Chief and the rest of Blue Team.

I've been playing Halo pretty solidly for fourteen years now. I love the series. It's without a doubt my all-time favourite. But I can't begin to describe how gut wrenching it is to know split-screen is gone. There's no substitute for physically sitting next to your friends, having a beer, and playing 4-player split-screen co-op. That being said, I can't wait for Halo 5 and all the new memories I'm about to make.
+Seth Brookes I think it's fair to say a cinematic that has nothing to do with actual gameplay doesn't really redeem anything, since cinematics were never anything that needed to be 'redeemed' in the Halo series. Try toning back the hype and waiting for the actual game.

I remember the first time I loaded up Halo 5. I had it predownloaded and was eagerly watching the clock on the night of October 26. As soon as it hit 11:01 PM, I told my Kinect to go to Halo 5 and it worked! Then within the next hour it was my birthday (10/27). Good memories.

Yes! Finally! Shields are incorporated into cinematics! In the beginning of the cinematic you can see Tanaka charge/crash into a Banshee, and afterwards her shields are glowing but then they recover. I hope we see this as a regular thing in cutscenes as it it is accurate to the lore because only in 4 was it actually in the scenes here and there, no other games in the trilogy of my knowledge did including Reach.

nah, as much and i wouldve loved to see blue team have a sequence like this, their much more subtle yet perhaps even more classy entrance was more fitting for their characters. it was a good contrast that reflected the different dynamics and attitudes of both teams.
not really brah, its just 343s attempt at making Halo their own game. Just look at how they got rid of Bungies armour and replaced Chief with their own armour in H4, changing all of the art style, new characters, and the fact that the game was majority Locke. Its a subtle attempt at 343 trying to take over the legacy.

i loved too, yes we didn't have master chief's campaing but i enjoyed playing with osiris team.
Things like this make me question why humanity was having such difficulty with the covenant in the first place.
They didn't have forerunner tech at the time, such as infinity

Because this Covenant is just a remnant of the full force of the pre-schism Covenant, which was a nearly unstoppable juggernaut under the direction of the Prophets, with tech that far outclassed humanity's at the time. Now humans have more advanced tech from decades of fighting the Covenant, as well as from recovered Forerunner technology, and this Covenant, while still wildly fanatical and dangerous, doesn't have as much firepower or as many numbers as the old Covenant.
The humans didn't have Forerunner technology, plus, some Halo fan don't what this to happen.

jokes aside, this is the covenant after the great schism so its all shattered and not that powerful anymore, and with more spartans and forerunner techonology humanity now has a upper hand to survive from the covenant.

I get chills every time I see that screen fade to black with the Halo 5: Guardians text. The music is just so epic. It takes me back to the excitement I had when I first booted it up and realized I was actually playing Halo 5. I'll have the same feeling in Halo 6!

+Jonathan K well it seems that you're a little behind on how to story is going to be played so i'll tell you. you play as both chief and locke. in co-op your friends would play the other team members and not a second chief. If you have any other questions just let me know, i'll do my best to answer.

Basically your friend is playing the campaign and you decide to join him/her, so you join and on this part i'm not 100% sure but when you join you play as one of the squad member. i don't think you can choose. in pre game lobby, you might be able to choose a character but no one knows right now since the menu hasn't been shown.
This cutscene was so amazing, too bad I can't say the same for the game.

After playing Halo 5 I actually came to the conclusion that this was a great game. I loved playing through the campaign and I can’t get over the Sanghelios missions. I pissed my pants when Arbiter came into the picture

Now these are Spartans. This and the cutscenes in Halo Wars showing Red Team fighting waves of Elites truly show what Spartans are capable of.
There is a reason that the Covenant came to call Spartans "Demons".

Let's all just forget that in Halo1, the game itself described the heroic difficulty as being what it was like. Doing retcons and making spartans the omnipotent omniscient gods they are in this cutscene kinda makes Master Chief's achievements look less astounding than they are.

+Sealonark Heroic was how the game was meant to be "PLAYED". Gameplay =/= Lore necessarily. Also, its not a retconn, it's always been this way. And just because the Spartans are extremely efficient and powerful soldiers, suddenly Chief's achievements are lessoned? You mean surviving direct contact with a Forerunner warmaster, diving out of space with a bomb, blowing up two Halos and an Ark are diminished? Are you for real?
Have to keep in mind that they're using the most advanced version of the Mjolnir Armor ever created, weren't trained from a young age, they weren't genetically different, or had as severe augmentation's done to them. What the Chief, and the other Spartan II's did was basically this, with less advanced armor, and greater skill, a Spartan II vs a Spartan IV if given all of the same tech advancements and weapons the Spartan II's would win.

I've been playing Halo pretty solidly for fourteen years now. I love the series. It's without a doubt my all-time favourite. But I can't begin to describe how gut wrenching it is to know split-screen is gone. There's no substitute for physically sitting next to your friends, having a beer, and playing 4-player split-screen co-op.
That being said, I can't wait for Halo 5 and all the new memories I'm about to make.

I remember the first time I loaded up Halo 5. I had it predownloaded and was eagerly watching the clock on the night of October 26. As soon as it hit 11:01 PM, I told my Kinect to go to Halo 5 and it worked! Then within the next hour it was my birthday (10/27). Good memories.
