That's a great idea. I have rosacea and I also have a brain tumor that will always grow back, so I will be on and off chemo for the next couple of decades. Chemo has definitely changed my skin.
@@davidschonfeldwichers8981 my only reason for mentioning the dr is because my own oncologist mentioned so many things not to use due to interactions and problems with chemo. I don’t know how familiar dermatologists are with chemo....but maybe they are 🤷🏻♀️
I love this video Susan. Although I don’t think she needs to change her moisturiser/sunscreen. I think SPF30 is fine since she’s going to have to reapply every 2 hours anyway. I also don’t think she needs a separate moisturiser
Hiii Susan! I NEED you to make a video on how you care for your hands!!!!!!!!! Especially now that everyone is hand washing more frequently!! You have beautiful hands! Please please please make a video about that!!
This is a great routine! I’m not in my early 30s anymore. I’m in mid to late 30s. 37 next month. Skincare is super important. Thank you for encouraging everyone to start early!
I just started a totally new skincare routine, morning and night time! (Inspired by Susan, James Welsh, and Hyram) I'm in my purging period, it's super hard not to pick at my face but I shall get through it! I'm 31 as well, so this video is perfect timing for me to see if I forgot anything! Thank you both for the insights! xxo
I've always cared for my skin, but only recently upped my skincare routine. I'm 37 and am still experimenting to find the perfect products. So thankful there are people out there like Susan, offering advice for other's seeking help for their skin concerns. 🥰
Yah I have had fine lines, wrinkles and eye bags in my eye area since I was 13. A lot of sun and fun when I was a child. Now I'm 31 and trying to reverse that with zoo skin health. Good luck you all! **
This was right up my ally, thank you! Actually not common to find reaction videos to people with normal skin AND who is in their early thirties like myself ✌🏻
Great video, very useful! Thank you for explaining everything, Susan and Nina. Alisa, you are a beautiful young woman, thank you for sharing your routine with us.
I’m 33 and the best things I’ve added to my routine are retinol (I recently switched to naturium’s retinol cream and so far I love it) and an aha/bha toner. Those two have helped my skin so, so much. The retinol alone helped texture and a few breakouts here and there, but adding the aha/bha (not on the same night as the retinol) it made an even bigger difference. I don’t have many fine lines yet, but the texture of my skin has never been better.
I’m 29 and I started seeing fine lines around my eyes at 23 because I was a tanning bed junkie- I started retinol and Botox at 24, added under eye filler and people think I’m in my early 20’s lol. Your videos, Susan helped so much- I found you on Mixed Makeup when you and Shar went to my medspa in Sherman Oaks. Tomorrow, I see my Dermatologist (I tried booking w Dr Nina Desai a couple of months ago but she’s in the process of beginning her own practice) for a body scan I’m pretty sure I have skin cancer and I can’t wait to ask her for Retin-A.
I really enjoy these videos, I’m 43 and I have no clue what to use for my skin that’s all over the place, I’m tired of using high end, and drugstore products with no results. I have many issues with my skin, dry skin, acne, sun spots, big pores, white heads, under circles and fine lines. I’ve spend tons of money and still don’t have a skin care routine where I’m like I’m seeing results, I don’t have money for a dermatologist or a skin expert, but I’m really tired of spending money and seeing no results 😕 I just want my skin to look nice since I’ve never had good skin.
Yay! I just turned thirty and have been watching you for years. This came at the perfect time. Though, I already use all evidence based actives in my routine lol.
Great insight as always ladies. Really curious that her biggest concern was fine lines, when to me it was her under eyes that were aging her more than anything else. But whatever makes her happy.
I can’t believe I’m watching videos in skincare for people in their 30s... I keep thinking I’m a 19 year old finally having clear skin after suffering from teen acne for so long
Hello! I am making my gramma a skincare routine for Christmas and I’m worried that it’s not good enough, she has very dry skin and milia bumps. I got her squalene, Rose hip oil and hyaluronic acid all from the ordinary, will these products help?
I don’t understand how people can use other actives along with Tretinoin! I’ve been on it for 9 months now and I can barely keep my skin moisturized and when I try to introduce new actives my skin gets soooo irritated 😭
I'm 34 from the UK and seeing fine lines and my skin doesn't feel as firm 😔 I have normal/combo skin and some pigmentation from after I had my son but recently, when on my 'monthly' my skin has come up with a few spots so that's probably hormonal 😒 I want to start using a retinoid but abit nervous as my skin is quite sensitive.. Someone help please haha 🤦🏽♀️ I watch many of your videos Susan 😊 it's mainly what products do I use 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Is retin A 0.05 percent good for someone who's just turned 29?? I have moved past the purging phase and I am used to it all but will it help me with anti aging in the long run??
Hi, I have minor dark spots on my face. I was using the Sunday Riley Vitamin C serum and I broke out pretty badly so I had to return it to the store. Any recommendations? Thank you.
Hey Susan and Dr. Nina! I need your help with skincare too. So I have oily, acne prone skin and since I turned 18 (21 now) I’ve been dealing with the nonstop breakouts usually around my cheeks and jawline area. I seldom get pimples on my forehead, but it does happen too. I’ve tried sooo many products and went to so many dermatologists in my country but none of them really help with creating a skincare routine. They just give prescriptions to drugs which haven’t really worked for me without a normal routine. I know the breakouts are not hormonal because I have been tested and also been on the birth control pills for the last 1.5 year. This year at the end of September, I went to yet another doctor, who prescribed me Epiduo. I promised myself to stick with it for at least 3 months so here I am. My current routine is very simple: AM: - I’m cleansing with La Roche Posay Effaclar Gel micro exfoliating cleanser with 2% salicylic acid and LHA. - I follow up with Curiosin gel, which is a medicine with zinc-hyaluronate formula to unclog my pores (I have big ones) and also to heal some blemishes (I have acne scars on my cheeks) - Sunscreen: Topicrem CALM+ soothing protective cream spf 50 PM: -I double cleanse, again using the same La Roche Posay cleanser, or if my skin is very irritated, I also use Avene Clearance cleansing gel - I follow up with Avene Clearance Hydra soothing cream - Epiduo on my problem areas I’ve been doing this for the last 2.5 months but my face is still breaking out. I’m not sure if this is still the purging period for Epiduo or if I’m doing something wrong with my routine. Is there anything I should change/ add? I live in the country Georgia and some of the products you talk about in your videos are not accessible here. I usually go for drugstore products because they can be found more often here and also because they’re cheaper. What do you think? Please help, any of the readers are welcome to help me too♥️
Maybe try cerave foaming cleanser, a treatment with Benzoyl peroxide, also the ordinary serum buffet is very hydrating and you can also use blotting papers to help reduce the amount of oil on your skin. Hope this helps x
I was hoping to see some product recommendations as well (still haven’t found the best Vitamin C serum that is good for dry and sensitive skin/same with retinol/retinoid) , but it was still helpful and all 3 women are beautiful in the video 💕
Vitamin c and sensitive skin is tough. It's a harsh ingredient. Your best bet is to either build up super slowly with ascorbic acid. Or pick a vitamin c derivative.
Can someone recommend a good skin care for 25 year old with dry skin? Skin goals are preventing aging and treating my dull look (I look pale and always tired) Any recommendations? ♥️
Beside the basic routine (gentle cleanser, moisturiser n SPF), I would add a hydrating toner to tackle the dryness, such as hada Labo premium and vitamin C to tackle the dullness. My skin used to be dull and vitamin C is a game changer for me. It brighten my complexion and make my skin looks healthy. Vitamin C is also essential for collagen production to delay signs of aging!
morning: 1. rinse the skin with water to prevent over stripping the skin barrier 2. the naturium vitamin c serum is really good for brightening, plumping, and scavenging free radicals 3. iunik beta glucan moisture cream (beta glucans are moistuizing and great for retaining hydration; hydrating but not too thick or greasy) 4. the cosrx sun aloe spf 50 is great for dry skin without being thick or greasy. the krave beauty beet the shield is a great one as well night: 1. the new sioris cleansing oil is really effective but hydrating. the klairs black cleansing oil is great as well 2. the krave beauty cleanser or the natiurium greens cleanser are effective but not stripping or drying 3. AHAs help to exfoliate and helps with dullness. naturium's mandelic acid or pha topical is good. USE IT 2-3 TIMES A WEEK 4. naturium's plant ceramide cream is really nourishing and moisturizing 5. the ordinary retinol in squalane 0.5% is a great starter retinol. start by using it once a week then build up VERY SLOWLY. be pateint with retinol because you many experience purging and peeling. 20s is a great time to start using retinol so by the time you're 30 and 40, you will be experienced. Hope this helps!
Hello! Here’s a routine that will really help to tackle dryness, restore your skin barrier and help with anti aging. I’m from the UK so I’m not sure which products are available where you are. PM 1 Double Cleanse: Use a gentle oil based cleanser such as the Inkey List Oat Cleamsing Balm or Hada Labo Cleansing Oil to remove makeup, sunscreen, dirt, pollution etc. Wet face to form an emulsion. Then cleanse with a water based cleanser such as the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser or Simple Facial Micellar Gel Wash. Rinse face. Alternatively, instead of an oil or a balm you could use a gentle Micellar water such as Bioderma Micellar Water Sensibio H2O with a cotton pad and similarly follow up with a water based cleanser as above. 2 Apply The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid + B5 or Neutrogena Hydroboost Extra Dry Skin Gel Cream straight to clean but wet skin to boost hydration, plump up skin and slow down transepidermal water loss. Note: the Neutrogena Gel Cream is fragrance free, but the Water Gel which is very similar is not! 3 Seal in the hydration with CeraVe Moisturising Cream. This will help to restore your disrupted dry skin barrier. 4 Apply retinol such as The No7 Advanced Retinol 1.5%. Great for anti aging. AM 1 Wash face with water (no cleanser). Pat dry with clean towel. 2 Apply an Antioxidant serum such as Skin Ceuticles C E Ferulic, Timeless 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum or Paulas Choice C15 Super Booster. Vitamin C is great for brightening a dull complexion and preventing premature aging. 3 Apply moisturiser such as The Cerave Moisturising Cream. 3 Apply Sunscreen such as CeraVe AM, Cetaphil Daily Defence Moisturiser SPF 50 or Hada Labo UV White Gel SPF 50++++. Explore Japanese and Korean sunscreens and La Roche Posay sunscreens too. Sunscreen is the best for anti aging. Check out Dr Dray on UA-cam for this. Don’t forget to exfoliate. You could use the Cerave Salicylic Acid cleanser a few times a week in the AM and follow up with your vitamin c, moisturiser and sunscreen. Alternatively you could use the Ordinary Glycolic Acid toner a few times a week in the PM after cleansing and patting face dry with towel. Then follow up with Hyaluronic Acid/Hydroboost and Moisturiser. Use a glycolic acid toner on separate nights to a retinol. Optional: Tinted sunscreens are great to brighten a dull complexion whilst protecting against aging. I have very pale skin and enjoy using the Bioderma Photoderm AR Tinted SPF 50 (this is a cream formula) or the Kiehls Universal Tint SPF 50 (this is a lightweight texture). I also love the Colorescience 3-in-1 total eye concealer spf 35 for my dark under eye circles. All of the products I have mentioned here are fragrance free and shouldn’t irritate dry skin. Check out brands such as CeraVe and Cetaphil for dry skin and the Inkey List and The Ordinary to really tailor your skincare routine. Also check out Dr Dray here on UA-cam! She is a dermatologist who posts very informative and information rich videos almost daily! Hope this helps! Charlotte 😃
Susan killed it in this video. (Dr Nina was great too) but Susan totally lead the way and made some excellent points that maybe went over dr nina’s head a couple times.
Hey, I wouldn’t mix acids and retinol/retinoids in the same skincare routine as that’s going to aggravate skin. Instead you could use pixi toner one night and retinol the next 😀
You can use acids and a retinoid in the same routine if you build up to it and its not irritating your skin. There are videos in UA-cam that support that opinion.
You don't have to do anything if you don't want to, many people don't care about their skin like people on this video👆😊 Everyone can change their thought patterns despite "what world says" but it takes work with yourself. I'm so interested of this and that's I'm listening, but nobody has to. There is many gorgeus older woman who just wash and moisturize ❤️
Damn! A new mom has the courage to show her natural beauty and all you people can do is bash her. You look great girl! Talk about women supporting women lol.
I’d love to see you partner with an oncologist to talk about skincare for cancer/chemo patients since the skin issues change so drastically.
Absolutely. Or even if you could do a video with Dr Desai about taking care of your skin while someone is undergoing cancer treatments.
That's a great idea. I have rosacea and I also have a brain tumor that will always grow back, so I will be on and off chemo for the next couple of decades. Chemo has definitely changed my skin.

- Sunscreen: Topicrem CALM+ soothing protective cream spf 50

-I double cleanse, again using the same La Roche Posay cleanser, or if my skin is very irritated, I also use Avene Clearance cleansing gel
- I follow up with Avene Clearance Hydra soothing cream
- Epiduo on my problem areas

Hello! Here’s a routine that will really help to tackle dryness, restore your skin barrier and help with anti aging. I’m from the UK so I’m not sure which products are available where you are.
PM
1 Double Cleanse: Use a gentle oil based cleanser such as the Inkey List Oat Cleamsing Balm or Hada Labo Cleansing Oil to remove makeup, sunscreen, dirt, pollution etc.
AM
1 Wash face with water (no cleanser).

I'm early!!
What do you mean by people of colour? Is an Asian or Latino a person of colour? We wouldn't call them that in Europe
Is the Pixi toner okay to combine with a retinoid in the evening?
If your skin is sensitive or extra dry like mine, then don't. It will irritate your skin too much.
Around 24:20 they speak about this
Hey, I wouldn’t mix acids and retinol/retinoids in the same skincare routine as that’s going to aggravate skin. Instead you could use pixi toner one night and retinol the next 😀
You can use acids and a retinoid in the same routine if you build up to it and its not irritating your skin. There are videos in UA-cam that support that opinion.
❤️👌
Why is she wasting so much water 😭
I thought the same🥺 but hopefully it was a fluke from her recording and talking at the same time.
because when you close the tap you have to bring the water to the preferred temperature all over again which takes time
@@liana_grd yeah that's true and that waste water as well..
I wish females were allowed to free up so much mental real estate & just age the way males can ☹️😞
You don't have to do anything if you don't want to, many people don't care about their skin like people on this video👆😊 Everyone can change their thought patterns despite "what world says" but it takes work with yourself. I'm so interested of this and that's I'm listening, but nobody has to. There is many gorgeus older woman who just wash and moisturize ❤️
I was literally complaining about this to my friend last night!!!! It infuriates me!
I'm sorry but the thumbnail 😂
Mario Badescu is such an overrated and underperforming brand.
Anti-aging? She's 31, wtf
Prevention is better than cure

She don't look 40 to me.
Second
There s no way she s 31.
She is.
she looks 40 to me
31 😳😳😳😳what
Right more like 40. That’s not surprising tho as she’s Caucasian. She needs to be on tretinoin.
@@heyyashleyyy2669 thank you very much. I will definitely look into this product.
@@heyyashleyyy2669 ikr she looks like she is in her late 40s i swear.
You all must be jealous, she looks perfect
Damn! A new mom has the courage to show her natural beauty and all you people can do is bash her. You look great girl! Talk about women supporting women lol.
