      I can't find proper cleanser who doesn't dry my skin out, so I always use toner after cleansing my skin. Unfortunatelly La roche possay, Bioderma etc. doesn't provide it, so it's hard for me to use them. Sometimes I use micellar water instead, but it's still micellar water and I would be happy if they provide toner.

      Nothing wrong with using an eye cream, but it is not needed. If you enjoy it then great but just know it not necessary. It would be better to get an eye cream that has some potent ingredients (like a peptide or caffeine eye cream) instead of an eye cream with the same ingredients as a moisturizer because then its just a waste of money. I would recommend the Naturium peptide eye cream because it has some really good ingredients.

    Finally someone who is saying you can use retinoids on rosacea. You always hear that you shouldn't use retinol or retinoids when you have rosacea. But I have been using a 1 % retinol daily for a year and my skin has never been better, even my rosacea got better. Please don't be scared to try it. It might not be working for your rosacea, but it might as well do, you never know until you try. My tip: Use a retinol that is formulated with a calming ingredient. Licorice root extract works wonders for me (included in high concentration retinol products from Paula's Choice).

    I have had roscesa pretty much all my life. However, once I reached menopause, on my word! It is a struggle, let me tell you. I don't have the redness as much, but my eyes are very irritated now. I have terrible breakouts, and very dry skin. Everything pretty much irritates my skin. Foods, anything I put on my skin especially my eyes. I have to be extremily careful now with everything. Even getting upset about something will cause a huge flareup. So, I feel like I have to be in a bubble with no drama what so ever. Great time to need that, Uh? I have to just let drama roll off me. I have hot flashes which is not good for someone with roscesa and I really don't want to take hrt. Have been looking for natural ways to ease menopause hot flashes. A fan is my best friend now... Think I will look for an aloe gel, mint gel or both to add to my skin. May make my own because like I said, I have to be very careful. Also, try to just eat cooling foods. Just need some relief.

      @randiacoronacion6797 3 роки тому +6

      Start low dosage Tretinoin .025% alternate every other night, or two nights. Until u built your skin tolerance. Your skin will be itchy at first, it means the Retin A is working, it's helping build collagen and stimulate blood vessels. And then help skin exfoliate. Been on Tretinoin .025% for over a year, I have Rosacea and Peri oral dermititis. I'm hesitant to increase dosage to .05% Retin A fear of exacerbating Rosacea. So far with Soolantra prescription cream and Metronidazole .075% gel. The redness of Rosacea is controlled and the pimple like bumps on the side of my mouth and cheeks are controlled. Rosacea is a life time condition, we need a routine to keep it bay. Sad to say it's genetic.

      @@amnakhan9241 my rosacea is aggravated by sun damage, so i use tretinoin to reverse the effects, to prevent skin cancer and slow down aging. i use it every two weeks as a light peel and sandwich it between 2 thicc layers of face cream. it clears up rosacea acne immediately. i still have redness but i don't mind it. we'll see what my skin will be like at 30 lol.

    I am 71 years old, and I use Prequel products. I have a long history of rosacea and sensitive skin, and I have received IPL treatments for my face and for ocular rosacea. I purchased the retinol you suggested from Stratia. Where do I introduce the retinoid in my routine? I have not used the Stratia retinoid yet, but because it is moisturizing, do I use it before or after Multi-Quench? I have Gleanser, Multi-Quench, Balm, and the mineral and organic sunscreens from Prequel.

    I didn't realize that Vanicream cleanser was a foaming cleanser. Can anyone confirm for me that it really is a foaming cleanser? It's not like Cerave Hydrating cleanser right? Like where it just feels like conditioner on your skin? I don't necessarily dislike those kinds but I prefer foaming ones. I've heard great things about the Vanicream one but I always thought it was a non-foaming one. If it is a foaming one I will definitely buy it!
    Edit: it IS foaming and it’s amazing. I absolutely love it! And I love the smell lol. (No fragrance. Just like it)

    Dr. Ellis, your skin looks great! BTW I'm also a rosacea sufferer (except my case is very bad, with an extremely sensitive, fragile skin - due to a long-term corticosteroid treatment) and I love the Toleriane Ultra, it's been my go-to moisturizer for years. I would recommend it to anyone who deals with sensitive, intolerant, irritated skin.
