I feel like there is a strong link to having melasma and being prone to perioral dermatitis. I'm in that category and know alot of other women that are too..
Absolutely love this! Dark spots can be so frustrating, but your comprehensive routine provides exactly the guidance needed to tackle them effectively. I appreciate the insights on ingredient choices and application techniques. Looking forward to seeing your progress and results
Have you tried the Crystal Retinal range from Medik8? They've got a 25% off sale right now. Seeing that you're already using the ingredient and are ready to upgrade, try their latest '24' strength serum or the Retinol 10TR which is 1% but in a really gentle formula (like all of their stuff is, even their eye retinols). I swear by it-- and I have awfully reactive, sensitive skin. Good luck. Which product are you currently using? I'd love to know.
I LOVEEEE that spray from Prequel. Her entire line, mixed with your products, has changed my skin drastically. Nothing ever worked, and I am forever grateful for that magic combo from you and Dr Sam! (tretinoin and I are not friends either lol)
That retinal is my hg rn. I use this specific one every night and my skin is BEAMINNNGGGG! Love that Aza emulsion too 🤩. I love using the ordinary glycolic acid toner and the retinaldehyde every other night and ong the glow 🤩
Damn you Susan Yara! You’re going to make me go broke 😂 all kidding aside, I love the skincare routines and would love to see more from other professionals too, that was a great series. ❤
In love with your Naturium range. I know that you can purchase it online in Australia, but will it ever be available in store in Australia?? Would love to be able to see the products in person before purchasing 🩷
I feel like we’re doing a throwback! Love it ❤ Also any recs for a good neck cream! I use my differin gel and my moisturizer on it but im noticing it aging faster than my face. Help! lol
retinoids and azelaic acid is best combo for hyperpigmentation. Even you can combine tretinoin and azelaic acid if your skin can tolearate or use azeliac morning and tretinoin evening.
Dr. Vanita Rattan is an expert on mixed skin of color if you haven't checked out her channel it is amazing for deep diving the ingredient lists in products!
Love this! I know you mentioned that your copper peptides are encapsulated in this new rich cream moisturizer… I know you use gold-stabilized Matrixyl, but what system is used for the copper? I didn’t buy it because the website doesn’t mentioned having an encapsulation of the copper peptides
I noticed you said don’t worry what you use with your multi peptide cream. Does that mean I can use it during the day with my Naturium vitamin C serum also ?
Please do a stronger Retinaldehyde - recently I can no longer use my Tretinoin- especially since in Canada we cannot get strengths under 0.05%. And with my 55 yr old mature menopause skin in a dry cold Canadian environment it’s just causing red flaky skin 😢😢.
Great video. I love my Naturium products. Question: if the azelaic acid is good for anti-aging, why not put it on the neck too? Interested to know why it would benefit the face but not the neck. Thx : )
I started getting melasma last year and I just started lasering. I have used a Hydroquinone before but don't find it to be impactful. I am getting married in April 2025 and wondering where to truly start. I don't have an official retinol right now so I am assuming to start there? My melasma is on my forehead and upper lip for the most part and I use a sunscreen.
If your able to hide for a week or not care if people look at u crazy, TCA and jessner peel layered together works wonders! Platinum skin care has a great line
I’m on 0.05% and I use it consistently and then my moisturiser that’s Elizabeth Arden HPR and Retinol water cream. My skin tolerates this and so im wondering whether to go to to 0.1%
When I had perioral dermatitis, azaleic acid actaully exacerbated my rash! Intersting that it helps you. I was on a low dose tacrolimus cream for a month or so and it disappeared
Hi Susan, I'm still waiting of you're amazing Azelaic Emulsion Serum. I purchased 4 Bottles when I was in New York in September. Please release it for Europe. Al the best for You 👍🏻💙
Hi Susan! Thank you for sharing your melasma skincare updates. What procedure did you do to brighten your skin? I can tell it worked on you. My dermatologist tried fractional resurfacing laser treatment on my kin but it darkened my melasma. Thank you!
If I already use Glycolic acid 2x a week for exfoliation, how would you recommend incorporating your retinoid into my routine? My skin usually tends to tolerate well however I’ve never used retinoid before so I want to err on the side of caution. LOVE YOUR PRODUCTS SUSAN ❤
Great routine there Susan allways injoy seeing what your useing and likeing 😊 I hope Australia gets your beautiful peptides rich cream soon certainly love the serum its a winner must try some of natrium body washes lots of people rave about them it's good you have a few to choose from ❤❤
That retinaldehyde serum and the azelaic acid emulsion are the real deal. On my second bottle of each, although I just increased the strength of the retinaldehyde. Also have backups of both...so good!
I ordered my staple body products during the sale (kp scrub, 2 of the mandelic body washes because I refuse to run out, jumbo retinol lotion, vitamin c for the face,) and I snuck in the new peptide cream in my order because I couldn’t resist lol I asked a question on one of your posts on Facebook because I was worried about the texture. The other creams like the overnight cream and plant ceramide cream almost have the texture of a diaper rash paste and I’m not too fond of that. The peptide cream doesn’t LOOK like it has that same texture but I wasn’t sure. I bought it, so I hope it’s a lotiony fluffy rich moisturizer that isn’t stiff and hard to spread like the others. I can’t wait to get it!
Susan can you lower the prices on your body wash and lotion pretty please because I don’t expect that I spent 37 something dollars on your body wash and lotion
with regards to using glycolic acid at night with retinol, can you interchange other AHAs and use a mandelic acid instead? Or is the glycolic acid specifically that you recommend?
Hi Susan, I’m still pumping milk for my baby, so I don’t think I can use retinoids. What retinoid alternatives can I use to target my hyperpigmentation?
Hi, this routine was really good and I learn sth new every time. There is a skincare topic I have been researching recently and I can’t find much information, that is reliable. I followed a chat where a person said she doesn’t want to use a product cos it has synthetic ingredients, as they can cause cancer and can’t be washed off, also they r bad for the environment. same old scary stories. I would like to be better informed , in how far is there any truth to auch comments. I think this might be an interesting topic , what is harmful, pros and cons etc. thanks and I really enjoy your content ❤️❤️
Susan, Are you still keeping up with the 0 step morning maintenance of the 5% cysteamine for your melasma? I did the 4 month daily regime with Urban SkinRx and then the company changed their policy on shipping to Canada, suddenly charging $42.00 CAD for duties/taxes etc.. I was kind of crushed. They also removed it from their Amazon U.S. storefront. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Your skin looks wonderful!
Hi😀 New subscriber here! Love your videos, full of helpful info. Totally off topic but I would love to know about that amazing gauze robe (I assume it’s a robe) you’ve got on!
After having babies, my skin just can’t handle tretinoin anymore, and i get perioral dermatitis around my nose. Safer bet to use Naturium retinaldehyde?
No, the tretinoin is a more superior retinoid. Retinaldehyde has to be converted to retinoic acid which is in your tretinoin. I do however use both as I am increasing my frequency of tretinoin gradually.
You are so beautiful, but I can't get rid of feeling that you don't appreciate yourself as you are and always seek for perfection that doesn't exist. And yes, it's good to take care of your skin, but the message is buy buy buy more and more products, fight for "imperfections", don't let yourself age. This message can be very harmful for young women
I just bought 3 bottles of that Universal Spray! I don't even need to test it out to see if it works... If Susan Yara recommends it, Its a skincare COMMANDMENT 🤣
Susan! I missed these videos so much! They are so soul healing!
So good to see another skincare routine, Susan! Also, would love a house tour after your renovation if you are willing!
I am ready for a stronger retinol 👏🏼👏🏼🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Same here, I need 0.20%.
I LOVEEEE that spray from Prequel. Her entire line, mixed with your products, has changed my skin drastically. Nothing ever worked, and I am forever grateful for that magic combo from you and Dr Sam! (tretinoin and I are not friends either lol)
This was a great video. I would love to see more video like this for different skin types plus something for when a woman is pregnant.
Your skin looks great!
I tried the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Essence because of you, and gosh… it is truly so good. So creamy but not heavy and feels deliciously hydrating.
Susan your skin looks amazing
Use osmia products for the dermatitis
I love the prequel! I’m in my 5th bottle lol. You should try their gleanser, it’s so moisturizing.
I love the marshmallow night cream cause it really calms my skin down
That retinal is my hg rn. I use this specific one every night and my skin is BEAMINNNGGGG! Love that Aza emulsion too 🤩. I love using the ordinary glycolic acid toner and the retinaldehyde every other night and ong the glow 🤩
I really appreciate your thorough explanations and recommendations. Thank you!
Thank you!
I use all Naturium products and love them !
The glycolic aha maybe causing you to have your malasma, hot spots/burns since you said you use 3x a week.
Do you have a detailed video on the cosmo treatment? I’m very interested in learning more to treat my melasma.
Damn you Susan Yara! You’re going to make me go broke 😂 all kidding aside, I love the skincare routines and would love to see more from other professionals too, that was a great series. ❤
I know right I spent a lot of money on her products I wish she lower the prices on her body wash and lotion
I’m a similar boat with wanting to give up Tretinoin - it makes my skin red and it’s looking worse than when I used Retinal. Anyone else the same?
❤❤❤
In love with your Naturium range. I know that you can purchase it online in Australia, but will it ever be available in store in Australia?? Would love to be able to see the products in person before purchasing 🩷
We appreciate you for sharing this with us♥
I feel like we’re doing a throwback! Love it ❤
Also any recs for a good neck cream! I use my differin gel and my moisturizer on it but im noticing it aging faster than my face. Help! lol
Whoa! Azelaic acid and retinal!!! Never considered this combo 😅

I’m not sure if this helps but at 10;54 it says it’s encapsulated I think
I’ve been waiting every year for this! 💗
What’s happening with naturium?
I would love too see a routine for pregnancy routine to try and keep melasma at bay, I’m really struggling here
Susan is it safe to use the Retinol Complex on Rosacea and sensitive skin?
Hi can i use azelaic acid and retinal cream together? Thanks
I noticed you said don’t worry what you use with your multi peptide cream. Does that mean I can use it during the day with my Naturium vitamin C serum also ?
Yes you can!
omg i love you, your tightly edited commentary is like my adhd brain is speaking
Perimenopausal. Melasma moustache. OMG, help. Have used retinol & spf for 30 years. Vitamin C serum for 10 years.
Yes she needs to make 0.20% strength.
Thanks for sharing your skincare routine.
At 49 I don't have wrinkles or discoloration because I use tretinoin every night
My favorite videos!!! ❤
I thought copper peptides can’t be mix w retinol
We used encapsulated copper peptides in our formulas so you’re good to use with any ingredients!
@ thank you ! I currently use the ordinary copper peptides idk if that’s encapsulated
Here for it!!!! ❤
Great video.
I love my Naturium products.
Question: if the azelaic acid is good for anti-aging, why not put it on the neck too?
Interested to know why it would benefit the face but not the neck.
Thx : )
Love the Naturium tranexemic acid!!!

I saw a comment on another video where someone mentioned that drinking chlorophyll water daily helped to reduce their melasma.
That just looks like freckles now ! 😳
I use the 1% retinaldehyde I love it 👌
I’m on 0.05% and I use it consistently and then my moisturiser that’s Elizabeth Arden HPR and Retinol water cream. My skin tolerates this and so im wondering whether to go to to 0.1%
@thehillsarealivewiththesou8293 I have sensitive skin I've managed to work my way upto every night without any issues. Good luck if you try it out 👍
When I had perioral dermatitis, azaleic acid actaully exacerbated my rash! Intersting that it helps you. I was on a low dose tacrolimus cream for a month or so and it disappeared
Thank you thank you, your the best❤
Excited for this video skincare routine ❤😊 xx
What is your favourite essence toner ❤ thanks
Hi! You mentioned sometimes you use alpha arbutin. Can the azelaic acid be used in the same routine?
Yes, it can be.
Yes it can be!
Did you get your lips done again? They look great! Also, so does your skin. You've come a long way in your melasma journey.
Hi Susan, I'm still waiting of you're amazing Azelaic Emulsion Serum. I purchased 4 Bottles when I was in New York in September. Please release it for Europe. Al the best for You 👍🏻💙
Do you use the mask before of after your skin care ?
Hi Susan! Thank you for sharing your melasma skincare updates. What procedure did you do to brighten your skin? I can tell it worked on you. My dermatologist tried fractional resurfacing laser treatment on my kin but it darkened my melasma. Thank you!

Thoughts on Topicals major fade (?) for melasma?

I'm using the naturium retinoid serum for night time. is there a difference between using the retinoid serum vs the retinoid cream?
I ordered my staple body products during the sale (kp scrub, 2 of the mandelic body washes because I refuse to run out, jumbo retinol lotion, vitamin c for the face,) and I snuck in the new peptide cream in my order because I couldn’t resist lol I asked a question on one of your posts on Facebook because I was worried about the texture. Have you tried only using the basics: Cleanser, Moisturizer, and SPF if it had any effects with your perioral dermatitis?
Susan, Are you still keeping up with the 0 step morning maintenance of the 5% cysteamine for your melasma? That red stain on the towel is giving me anxiety 😥 please tell me it’s not blood 😩😩😩😩😩😩 I can’t even concentrate on the routine 😩
Just looks like a tag to me 🤷🏻♀️
It's a tag
Looks like a clip
How do u layer glycolic acid from the ordinary w tretinoin?
Great video. On the podcast I would like Male cosmetic stuff.
I bought the same azelaic acid you’re using buy mine is a serum and yours looks like a lotion ??
Where can I purchase cosmelan? Is it cosmelan 2?
I get it from my derm!
Can anyone tell me what brand/color her nail polish is?!
SUSAN CAN YOU LOWER THE PRICES OF YOUR BODY WASH AND LOTION PLEASE I can believe that I spent 37 DOLLARS ON YOUR BODY WASH AND LOTION

What’s with the lip overfilling….people can really tell…to much
I was just thinking we need a skincare video

❤ this gorgeous. ❤ your robe can unlink? Happy almost turkey day hugs from Tampa
Watch out. You’re getting close to having blow-up doll lips. 😮
Nothing special for eyes?
I just bought 3 bottles of that Universal Spray! I don't even need to test it out to see if it works... If Susan Yara recommends it, Its a skincare COMMANDMENT 🤣
