Perm has 2 non artic provinces, I used the icon that gives you dev reduction and I developed Uts-vym to 30 and spawned renaissance there. Muscovy tried to annex me but he annexed first some other vassal and got the -3 Dip Rep debuff and since I had high dev I got a lot of time to dev up the 2nd non artic province (this time I also had prosperity, burghers & renaissance dev bonus). It was expensive but I did not tech up at all, I started to tech after my income was around 6 ducats net, but with perm's ruler it didn't take long to catch up. When I had 84 tot dev Muscovy got into a bad war with Great horde and I took the chance then to declare independence. I don't know if this is a good way to go, but with deving up the provinces you get enough time to catch the Muscovites off guard, plus the fact that I did not ruin my nation and I had quiet a good income.
I flipped to tengri after independence. It's a fun religion diplomatically. Pretending to be orthodox, Sunni and even Catholic. With boyar privilege you get 100% cav.
The hardest nation is jaffna IMO, but Great Perm is definitely the hardest achievement, suprisngly not mentioned in many rankings. I remember my Perm run as real horror. First independent war - white peaced. Second - won only because Nogai ate some Kazan remainings and decided to suport me.

Reconquering is cheaper in terms of warscore, wanted to annex Muscovy with less wars. Spent more diplo mana, but fully annexed muscovy faster in return.
hey i m playing Qasim right now...released from Muscovy... It has a really nice Dragon Flag. I cant find much about this nation on Google, other than it was a tartar khanate, vassal of Muscovy with Finnish origins. I was just curious about the dragon flag. At the moment I'm trying to basically make an Islamic Russia out of this nation, which has some reasonably good ideas. ae -10%, attrition -20%, cavalry combat 20%, core creation cost -25%, manpower 25%, manpower recovery 25% - Have any other UA-camrs played this nation? Its weird cos I can form the Ilkhanate and Mongol Empire, but I'm a Monarchy not a horde. Also, it seems I have to form the Ilkhanate first before Mongol Empire. Usually Ilkhanate is harder to form, I usually form it after Mongol Empire when Im a horde. I cant find any youtube videos where someone played as Qasim. Apart from one florryworry one a year ago. Some one could do a Unite the dragons challenge maybe? An Empire from Wales to China? I dunno if Wales has a dragon on the flag in Eu4, but it does in real life nowadays. Bhutan also has a dragon on its flag. Qasim does. Malta does. China doesnt but its symbol is often said to be the dragon. Also Japan somewhat uses the dragon in its mythology. What about a playthru to capture all the dragons?
Well, no one plays it because it's extremely small, and no one really knows about it in real life. Though it is quite interesting that it can form Ilkhanate and not Golden Horde. Btw, also kazan has dragon on a flag. Might be better candidate for this playthrough.
@@CoolBonobo i already played it.. took most of russia, took out otto, was starting to take north africa got algiers & granada as vassals.. etc but then i quit.. i get bored late game when the nation is huge and u have to spend 3000 years trying to cross one side to the other for each war and deal with 3 million rebels between every war.. i usually dont get past 1650
@@CoolBonobo id like to point out that i destroyed muscovy first before releasing qasim... im not that good at playing.. i think the florry worry video said its virtually impossible.. but he does it on ironman .. i did it with save scumming and making muscovy weaker first.. so im not saying im good in any way.. i basically returned cores to all the nations i could from muscovy, released myself got a friend to help me get independence and then asap took out all the released nations and then warred muscovys neighbours etc
If you want a really hard nation to play try playing “sukohtai” in Southeast Asia, starts out as a vassal of ayuthaya. But that is a tributary of king while sukohtai isn’t… yeah good luck mate if you ever decide to do that

Take as many loans as you can. Rush mil tech 3 or savescum till your neighbors don't ally each other.

I think there are multiple the hardest nations (there are also Vietnamese tribes and Kongolese vassal), but Perm is definitely one of them.

no point calling a reconquest for 1 province if youre gonna take more non cores in the same peace deal.
