Hey guys if u do all this and And it won’t work check ur speaker connection from ur amp to the sub. Stagger them. If positive and negative next to each other it’s wrong. Negative I. Far left positive on far right. ❤ I did finish thanks to this video but one detail I think will save u time and money.
I had a 2015 silverado and I ran a single 8.. your install is way cleaner than mine. Lol.. it looks good bruh. I just got a new truck and now I'm gonna look into that skar box for the new truck
Nice. I would have used and audio control LC2i so that way you did it have to run your remote to the fuse panel cause the LC2i has signal sense remote turn on.
Brother u do damn good work...back in 1997 i had a chevy with a downfire box...now that ive seen the newer designs i would do (2) 8'..... front facing and the 8' will have better sound quality...down facing woofers have know where for the bass wave to travel ,so u actually losing sound like that.
So if I did it all like you did and also wanted to change out the stock door speakers I’d just need aftermarket speaker, adapters, and aftermarket, harness connectors, right?
Can you provide help with the wiring. Diagram? Where did you tap for the remote. I know the video says next to the big fuse but it doesn’t show where you ended up tapping to. Also need help with the wiring of the RCA converter. Thank you!
What's up man great video. I also have a 2021 silverado and I was wondering are you still happy with those skar subwoofers? I'm considering buy the same loaded setup but just wanted to get your opinion first before I purchased them
Hey bro question? i have the same year truck but not an rst and I have a double cab.. but I can’t seem to find a box for my truck. Do you think the crew can one would fit mine?
After watching your video i thought "he's going to want more power" I know those Skars can push out more. Check out JL C1 speakers. I installed some in my Silverado (same as yours). I ran without an amp for a month and some people thought it was amped. Thanks for the Vid.@@SharkLifeVentures
Sni35 or the lc2i? I asked for the same setup in my 21 Silverado and was told I can’t use the sni35. Curious on how your system is holding up with the sni35?
I am having trouble with the converter. I am splicing into the solid green wire and green/black wire. But I am not getting any sound out of the subs, anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you for all of the valuable information here. Considering doing this myself, I see you chose the 4ohm subs vs the 1ohm that they have available, curious as to why you chose these. In addition wouldn't the amp be under powered for these particular subs? I ask because the spec sheet says RMS Power at 4 Ohms = 370 Watts x 1 Channel (14.4v). Also, if you are running 2 subs wouldn't this cut the Wattage in half? Sorry for the questions just trying to understand it all a little more.
I don’t have a ton of experience installing, but I’ve done my fair share of research and from what I understand, a more powerful amp will not necessarily make the system sound better. The subwoofers/speakers are manufactured to a certain RMS rating, or power where they function best. Can you give them them more power with a more powerful amp, you can and it may sound louder to a degree. But once you do that you risk damaging your subwoofer. Look up “killing a subwoofer” on UA-cam and there are plenty of videos of people who purposefully hook up a low-power sub to a powerful amp to bust it.
Wish I’d found this sooner. Went with KICKER no regrets but saw few ready to go options. Good video, so glad you added audio demo also.
I used this video to do a install I didn’t use the line output converter I used the high level inputs on the amp worked great thank you so much

Your video was the most helpful out of all the other ones I saw! Thank u sir!

No problem, keep me posted on your install
I got it too
You can tap all speakers in right rear door jam.
You have more info on this?

@@rmm2424 What color wires? the white and black/blue?
Should space the amp off the carpet so it can breathe and not get too hot

Clean. Great Job.
Thanks helped me with my install

I got you!!
I need a picture of that as well.
Sweet !! I just finished my install tonight !! They have great prices and sound great too. Good job
nice install, for the LOC did you tap negative wire to green and black and positive wire to the green.
Yep
On the SNI do you use both negatives and both positives to the green green/black?
What about the rest of the speakers??? And additional amps???
Nothing else yet but I have plans for the spring
Like a pro bro good lob
the link to the box is for crew cab model would this fit double cab also i would think the seat spacing is the same whether its double or crew cab??
I have the same truck, i custom lockbox under my rear seats so i cant do what you did, do i have any other options to add bass?

Great job , thanks

No complaints at all

I’ll check in the morning

Can you send me a pic of how you have your amp set up? Right now my problem is trying not to have the speakers sound horrible if bass is high
Great video. One question tho. What kind of truck is that?

Could 0/1 gauge fit through that grommet
Yes, it can. I have 2/0 running through mine. Just had to spray it with lubricant.

It should check Skar Audio website
Where did you mount your ground ?
Go to 10:12 the mount for the jack
how is the bass? im getting the exact same setup. wondering if i should get the 1500.1 amp instead of the 1200.1
It’s sounds great with the 1200, but I’m swapping it out for the 1500

Is the twisted green wire sub out or just rear left
Same system same truck and my amp does NOT fit. Exact skar system. So I am stuck where to mount my amp in my truck. Seat pinches the amp every angle.
It will fit under the passenger seat or if you pop the back seats off there’s space to mount it on the back wall. There’s a Sierra video I followed
Did you add the subs or was it a complete box w/ subs?
It’s was a complete box w/ subs
Sni35 or the lc2i? I asked for the same setup in my 21 Silverado and was told I can’t use the sni35. Curious on how your system is holding up with the sni35?

Any places that can do this in the dfw area?
I got a home boy down there I’ll ask him

Do you need a remote wire if your using rca’s?
Yes the remote wire is what turns your amp on and off!.
