- The Magicycle Cruiser Ebike has one of the easiest displays to read and make adjustments. This video has a rundown on how to adjust the settings and ma☺ke the Magicycle better tuned to your personal needs.
I personally think the Magicycle is tuned very well out of the box and recommend that people do not change too many settings (other than the top speed).
One setting I am still not sure as to how changes may affect performance is the 1-5 sub menu in the voltage settings. If you know what that is for and how it affects performance, please comment below.

I think one of the most important thing is how to turn the bike on which I don't see it in the instructions which really stumped me finally by watching another you tube vid I caught on I consider that the most important thing.

excellent video! very detailed on the settings. quick question, when adjusting how much power in each PAS level, do you know what would happen if PAS1 was set to 1% ? would it feel almost like zero or fully manual?
I couldn't really get my pas1 to do anything until I set it around 25% or higher. Anything lower didn't seem to register any power.
Thanks for the info, the MC's customizable settings and nice display was bonus selling point for me.
I really like having a wide range of speeds with a 0-9 PAS set up. These percentages work for my riding:
0, 25, 31, 39, 47, 58, 67, 77, 90, 100
Yeah, those smaller steps can really help adjust the amount of exercise you want (or don’t want), or the pace you want to keep steady at.

Yeah... I'm the guy that always says, "I wonder what these screws are for?" after finishing putting together an Ikea project.
Changing the wheel size setting only changes the displayed speed not your actual speed.
The display/controller hides the actual speed that it is programmed to run at and rather simply displays a number based on a calculation.
Oh! That’s so interesting. Thanks for sharing that insight. I had no idea it was not making adjustments to real speed when the tire size was changed. I figured it would recalculate and we really could trick it into going faster.
FYI - The PIN code feature is pretty useless to stop someone from running your Magicycle since it does not lock out the throttle. It won't stop anyone from making off with your bike.

@@EbikeProducts It will run for 40 seconds and then turn off. Simply turn it back on to get another 40 seconds. Rinse and repeat until you are far enough away from the owner or have gotten to your hideout.

Well - I found my answer on the clock in the display- Magicycle has put out TWO versions of the control panel. So one was old stock & my other was the newer version. BTW - that newer version also had a soft wrap chain guard on lower frame. Its a hit or miss on what you will get......
Thanks so much for watching and commenting, my apologies for such a delayed response. Just wanted to let you know that I posted a video this morning with the clock, chain guard, slap guard, and brakes upgrades. I believe all new shipments moving forward should have the upgrades in place now.
When you do a factory reset does the odometer default back to 0?
Do the 28 setting also apply to the Ocelot Pro tires? The default setting is 26 and the manual also indicates 26.

I've had my bike 6 days it actually says in the manual to set tire size at 26.my display is already having some issue unfortunately 2 days ago I had a total of 45 miles on it I took it for a ride around the block when I got home the trip meter read 4.5 miles and I thought that was odd cause I never reset it so I checked the odometer and it read 4943444 miles and I guess you can't reset it but the bike still works. . One more thing it says you need to use the key to shut the power off at the battery before charging.. I'm not sure why I charged my battery today for the first time without unlocking the battery with no problem 😊
so what will happen if I change Current limit to the lowest 7.0A will I break the controller I want it to preserve battery live as much as I can ?

Yes, I left mine alone. It won't go any faster with any changes in the settings from what I found, so I figured it was best to leave it as is.

also - I have 2 new bikes. One display has military time in upper right corner when turned on, my other bike does not? Not seeing any settings for either?
Sounds like you got your orders in as the new changes were coming in. A clock is a new upgrade to what I call their "Version 1.5" Cruiser.
Now that we have been riding our bikes a few times - noticing the battery % seems to be inconsistent? First turning on and then riding, of course it drops. Turn off, go back later to ride again - its back up higher than what it was when I turned it off. I was at 88% - then when I put my bike away - down to 48%. Went back a few hours later and back up to 79%. I did NOT take it out to see if it dropped quickly to my lower reading. Same issue with my wife's bike. Any thoughts or an issue to ask Magi CS? Not a huge deal but this should be a bit more accurate in my opinion. Thanks!
The bike is made in China and who knows who makes the controller or display 🤔 . I had a total of 45miles on mine road it around the block now it shows over 4 million 😱

Hi! I would like to switch my display for a colour one. Can you recommand one for a Bafang rear gear motor of 48v 750w, with a controller of 48v 22a, battery of 48v 20ah? I really don't know what to look for regarding compatibilty...thank you!
I am so sorry, but I really do not know about display replacements or compatibility. I am thinking that you may want to reach out to Kyle from Area 13 Ebikes (formerly Bolton Ebikes) to see if he or his team might know. They really have super knowledgeable people there.

What would happen if you increase speed sensor to more than 1? Wouldn't it be so that the bike would think that you are going slower than you actually are. That way possibly allow you to use more power and reach top speed higher than 28mph?
You could do that with wheel size as well although you wouldn't get an accurate speed reading
@@kokopelli314 that's true, but I meant to increase speed sensor count in display settings not physically. Though I've never seen anybody doing that on yt.
When I try to load the settings my screen freezes I can't get help anywhere is there anyway you know how I could fix this or of any hard resets I can access without loading settings 😢
Oh no! Have you reached out to Magicycle customer support and see if they have some tips to to reset the screen freeze issue? I am curious what they said about it.
Would this demonstration setup work with the 20’ deer mini step through?
Sorry, I’m not 100% sure as I’ve never ridden or seen the 20” deer in person but they’ve used the same display on most of their e-bikes and the setup is one of the easiest I’ve ever seen. There is no reason I can think of for them to change.
I really hope to get to review the 20” Deer as it is the best specs I’ve seen so far since it’s essentially the Ocelot Pro with dual suspension.

@EbikeProducts It's better than I hoped. The suspension is very good. I've been shopping around for several months & went to the Lectrify expo in Frisco hoping to ride known brands. But only 2 that I heard if were there. I'm glad I didn't buy anything on the spot. This deer mini woulda been purchased on the spot if I coulda demoed it. I took the chance after a lot of reviews and boy this is an Amazing 20' bike. Being 5'4 my search was limited & I found the perfect bike for us.

What are the 5 bar voltage settings and why are they adjustable. The battery is 52 volts, so what is the reason for those adjustable levels?
Password does NOT prevent using the motor, the throttle will still work, Magicycle would need to make P mode (pedal mode) the default when you power on
Do these bikes have cruise control?
The version 1.0 did not come with cruise control. Sorry, but I’m not sure about the newer versions.

You cannot read this screen in the sunlight with sun glasses. I've had this bike 6days
That issue is due to polarized sunglasses. A hack to fix that is to put cello tape diagonally across the display screen.

I saw that post he made yesterday. Not surprised about it at all. I noticed the sites were almost identical when I first started researching the company but thought they owners might know each other. Still think it’s possible. I work in digital marketing and it’s a never ending scenario where competition takes another’s marketing strategy when they launch. Himiway did a great job spicing up their new designs to stay innovative. I think they’ll have another great year ahead.
Save your money . You can get a better bike for the same or better For your money.
