Trying to surprise my daughter and fix her rear blown speakers today! 2015 Toyota Corolla S. No need to add an amp for these 6X9 Kicker correct? Car Toys mentioned that a speaker w/higher amp rating than the stock ones would need an amplifier and if I did that then I should consider upgrading the front speakers as well for continuity etc. Any help welcome today!!! Thank you!
You can go that route, the speakers will sound better however it will cost you much more adding an amp and changing the fronts. However you can still just install these speakers in place of the factory ones. That’s what we did because his were blown.
Do you remember if you used the Metra 72-8104 wiring harness for those rear speakers? I can't seem to get a clear answers towards which ones work for the rear of these Corolla's.
I bought these for a 2011 Corolla, my old speakers were blown. Will these work with the stock stereo, really just looking to replace the blown ones.. thanks in advance !
I think you can, I installed mine (in an audio shop not by myself) and as they told me they made new holes because they didn’t have the adapters. After 1 year of using I haven’t noticed anything wrong with this
This video is super helpful for the DIY who likes good audio 😊
I can finally listen to Ram Ranch on full blast. Thanks BGG!

You installed that speakers with stock stereo?
Yes, the factory speakers were blown, and the owner just wanted to replace the speakers
Yo I bought the exact speakers for this car lol
Thank you
Is there an easier way OMG!! I thought it was going to be an easy take out. Didn't know I was going to have to dismantle the car ugggh
No
Add a 2 channel amp to them so they don't blow again.
Good instructions, thanks! Very annoying music
