Great video! I want to ask you what type of white balance you use when shooting outdoors. Do you use the AWB or adjust the kelvin properties, or do you manually set the white using the color passport?
Nice video! I purposely own a small camera bag that only allows one lens on the camera and another spare. Usually my 35 and my 85. But sometimes my 28-200 and 17-28 depending on the expected shooting. Too many options causes paralysis for me.
Cool, i have a very similar A7C set up. Bag is a Billingham Hadley Pro small, A7C+40mm f2.5 and carry 24mm f1.4GM. I recently try a Tamron 28-200 f2.8/5.6, a lot bigger, but it’s a great range for travel. I clip a GoPro7 on the shoulder belt. Thank you much for sharing, happy shooting.
Imo you need both messenger bag and simple bag for different occasions. For example if I film and walk around messenger bag it is. If i am going to shoot event then i kinda want a big bag
This is what seperates content creators from professionals. Pros use and carry lighting. Content creators or most people just go thru it relying on bokeh and luck to get good light. I like your lens choice but for portability, I'd go for the samyang tiny series lenses. Love the bag and appreciate the video. Thanks!
Can you do a comparison between your 20mm f1.8 g vs 24mm f2.8 g. I like to buy one of them. I just want to get the most for my money. I want to see what you think is more versatile. Thank you and please keep doing your thing. I like your content.
Thinking really hard about swapping my A7iii for the C. I picked up a ZV-1 to go along with the A7iii for a front facing screen in video, but I just personally hate having two cameras. I only do occasional Real Estate photo and some small business work for video. Would you recommend the swap?
Yes! I have both the A7iii and the A7C . The A7C is the one I reach for and, imo, is the better camera despite the downgraded EVF and stripped down controls. I am looking forward to seeing what improvements are made when they drop the A7Cii into the market. I would buy it again!
Your preference is similar with mine haha. Aperture is cool but I don't understand why every single lens in peoples kits has to be 1.4; 1.8 is more than fine and something like 1.2 to spice up collection can be cool. Lightness factor can be sometimes more important. On zooms I have a bit different opinion as I think the more convenient, quality and all arounder zoom is the better (as mine is favorite 16-35gm)
I noticed you mentioned that you also use the fx 3. Is there a big difference when it comes to video quality between the a7c and the fx3. I know they must have the same sensor size.
The A7C does have fantastic video but it doesn’t compare to the FX3. The FX3 has 10bit video compared to 8bit on the A7C which allows for much more color grading and improved detail in highlights and shadows. Can’t forget the dual base ISO which allows you to shoot at 12,800 ISO with almost zero noise/grain.
Do you recommend the Sony A7C for videos. I'm a professional tattoo artist and I'm wanting to start my own UA-cam channel. I've been eying this camera for a while now what do you think of it so far?
I wish I could give you a solid answer but I’m not sure since I haven’t seen the Ona bags in person. You would just have to compare measurements. This bag is quite roomy, the center compartments are enough to store a camera with a lens and 2 more lenses vertically or 4 more (smaller primes) stacked on each other. If I wanted to carry more lenses I would do a 24-70 in the 3rd compartment where I have accessories stored!
Hey Dylan, I checked SOny's website for your 24MM 2.8 lens compatibility with A7C , Its says compatible but with a caution which says " The [Lens Comp.: Distortion] setting will be set to "Auto". " , what is that mean ?
I prefer prime lenses over zoom lenses. The only time I take out the the 28-70 is when I don’t feel carrying my camera bag. Even then I usually choose a 35mm lens
@@DylanBlackburn you and I are alike then. I especially feel this way for a midzoom. For ultra wide and telephoto I'm happy with zooms. You also sold your 35 GM for the Sony 35mm 1.8 yeah?
Awesome video. The vibe is just 👌I'd have loved to see the Sigma 35mm f/2 on the channel though. I'm interested in the Sigma i series lens as the build quality and manual aperture ring look sweet, and they look like a great match for the a7c. Lot's of lens choice is a win though 💪
Thanks! It was a tough decision between the Sony 1.8 and the Sigma f2. I think I would have been equally happy with both but I found a really good deal on the 1.8 that I couldn’t pass up. You’ll probably see it on the channel eventually!
Hey just wanna encourage you to continue making videos. You´re gonna be huge one day! Period brah :)

Yes! The minimalism! Totally my jam. Nice work, as usual.
Thanks man!

Thanks for the video, I have a two lens system Sigma 85 dn dg 1.4 and Sony gm “ got money “ 35mm 1.4 😉
The perfect combination of lenses!
i recommend the pgytech 10L sling bag
Video about the 35 1.8 please with lots of sample photos.
Love your chill videos man!
Thanks man! Upcoming videos will definitely feature the 35 1.8 and I’ll definitely share if there’s any shortcomings compared to the GM.
Big fan of your content 🔥🔥
Glad you enjoy man!

Thank you!!!
What is the rectangular lens hood on the FE 24mm f2.8? That's what I want to add to that lens. TIA.
ND filter

I really want to like the 85mm but it’s just hard with my style of shooting. I just need to force myself to use it more and adjust.

Do you wish the a7c had 4K 60 btw?
Thank you! 4K 60 would have been great but I primarily use the camera for stills anyways
süß . . . aber ich würde das Zubehör weiter reduzieren 😉
Great video!! What’s your thoughts on 16-35mm f2.8 gm?
Btw Can’t wait for the 35mm 1.8 pictures experience from you 💎.
I used my friend’s 16-35 GM in New York City a couple years ago and took some of my favorite photos ever with it. So I love the lens!
Loved this video ! Something I could relate to.....👌💯💚
My setup is also somewhat similar.
The bag looks like Burlington, classic, nice price.
Switch to Tamron, then all u need is 67mm filter and let wife to have those expensive Sony lenses.
Check out my most recent camera bag video, things have a changed a bit!

If you decide you want to get rid of any lenses? Please let me know! Wink wink
Damn! You call 100$ cheap?! For a bag?! LOL
I wish I was rich like you lol
Compared to the Ona leather camera bag which is $500 it is cheap LOL
Bro, that is too much gear.
