How to install Puig Racing Windscreen on a Yamaha R1. Wow we are already at Episode 7 of the Yamaha R1 build series! Today we got rid of the stock windscreen and installed the Puig Racing Windscreen. In addition to the windscreen, I had a little surprise part that we got in the mail! The light smoke Puig Yamaha Windscreen looks great with the all black Yamaha R1! There might be a little surprise from Rizoma at the end!

Glad your enjoying the videos! I immediately swapped to the light smoke for the Puig. The dark is too dark to be safe on canyon rides and track. You could easily miss a rock in the road in my opinion. The light smoke is the perfect amount.

Dude I had a hard time taking the stock windscreen too. I took out the whole front fairing off. But yeah mines is really dark. We see how I like it. Thanks for the video

Man I'm gonna be honest I've been working at Ups for 5 years now and that guy treated your package gracefully compared to how we throw them around in the warehouse lmao just sayin wouldn't sweat it

I actually don't mind these seats. Bike isn't meant to be comfortable haha

The pads make much of a difference?
They pads made a big difference. I am used to the EPFA on my R6 which definitely bite more but do tear up the rotors faster. We will see after some miles if I am going to upgrade.
But I will be doing another bleed to get any remaining air bubbles out. I also noticed the ASV levers were a huge improvement on the feel as well.

Dumping the Cat and reflashing?
Yep! I receive the link pipe tomorrow to get rid of the cat and will be making a video of install/sound. Apparently the ecu will adjust a good bit to clean up the AF ratio without a flash/tune. In terms of a flash, there is not a flash currently for the 2022 model.
