@@JF-lt5zc And? It was a TV show with a TV budget working hard to keep its audience. Of course it ends the same. Isn’t that the point? All sci-fi fantasy TV shows follow a formula. (So do sitcoms.) MacGyver always got out of a jam using his intelligence and whatever was around him. Columbo always outwitted the criminals. KITT always saves the day with its technological magic. It’s repetitive because _people liked the formula_ and watched those shows with specific expectations. I doubt they had a budget to do a fresh sequence for every episode with Airwolf chasing or being chased. Remember that these shows had to churn out new episodes each week! I think all those shows did a fine job with the money and time they were given.

What I can say without any breeches of national security is that the majority of them military wise are all moving to design of full stealth that look more like the f35 than an actual helos, but due to the composit materials needed to make, AND the costs of the certain engines with special rotor suppressors needed to be fitted are simply BS...more near to the same costs of the F35s.. If interested whats out now, do research into the one that crashed during the rubbish Bin Laden Op when it went down... you'll spin TF out.. 👍

I am a huge fan of Airwolf and watch every episode as a kid in the 80s. If I would have gotten the chance to sit inside her for even 5 minutes it would be the great time of my life. ❤❤❤

If in fact this video was done in classic 80's 4X3 the re-crop in 16X9 is great. It looks 80's, feels 80's, the sound most certainly is classic 1980's. Yes folks, I do realize this was indeed videotaped or filmed in 1987! Great Video!

In ‘87 I was fifteen. If I had seen this it would have been the same as if the Millennium Falcon had just landed in front of me. Airwolf was the absolute shit at that age.

I got goosebumps from the start watching it turn in for the approach…this helicopter is beautiful, my favorite childhood show. Still waiting on a reboot, as long as the helicopter is exactly the same. Maybe “Hawk” had a long lost son who followed in his fathers footsteps. If you remember season 1 of air wolf, “Daddy’s Gone Hunt’n,” the kid looks like Hawk but never admits that it is.

It was the most attractive mono perpellar helicopter ever made, also intended to be a luxury/VIP, even had more stretch models patten. Like a flying vtol perpellar version of a limousine. Yet ironic it turned into a top secret military sci-fi movie craft.

Jeepers, thank you so much for posting this. Can't remember what excuse my parents used to explain to 6 year old me why we were standing around a shopping mall parking lot along with a bunch of other people, but I still remember the excitement when 'The Lady' came flying in. Best surprise ever. Though I do remember being slightly disappointed when Jean Michael Vincent emerged without the flight suit. Brilliant memory

There were 2 airwolf helicopters , one was airwolf in black, registration number N3176S, was sold to company in Germany and used as air ambulance and crashed in 1992 destroying. There was redwolf, (airwolf with red nose) registered N1074T, was a Bell 222 aircraft, that was involved in an incident during pwr off run land on April 15, 1987 at 16:30, in Ben Wheeler, TX, was being used by University Of South Alabama. There is a replica,The replica was housed between 2007 and 2015 in the Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Sevierville, Tennessee. It was then sold to a private collector in California, having been further modified at West Coast Customs during September 2015. The replica was then placed on top of a mansion in Bel Air, California. The owner then sold the mansion and replica is now at the Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum, in Compton, CA

Ah yes, the Bell 222A executive Helicopter. It was an instant success when Bell released it for sales and was loved by everyone who laid eyes on it. When it was released in 1979 at a whopping 1.1 million dollars if my memory is correct, but it was definitely at least 1 million dollars was an exorbitant price and everyone wanted it because of it's looks. I think it is still one of the most beautiful helicopters to ever take to the skies. It was until the Eurocopter EC155B1 came around in the 2000's that I found another equally beautiful Helicopter.

Sadly it wasn't a great sales success. Underpowered, high maintenance, poor safety record. That's why you don't see these often. I actually live very close to Van Nuys airport where it was based during the series.

Loved Airwolf when I was young, I even remember having the Airwolf Toy Helicopter which had it on a string hanging from my ceiling in my bedroom, and when you turned it on it would go around in circles with gravity, and the blades turning too. Was great to have, not sure where it is now though and I am in my mid-40s. Great days though.
