I do a similar thing twice a year with .50p and £1 coins... money from January to July for a summer activity and August to December goes towards Christmas.. Usually adds up to £250 per half year..

Hi mate, yeah that is true! Although I should point out none of these coins in this bottle were metal detecting finds. It was change from shops that I have collected over the last 6 or 7 years. About time I got rid of it. I do have a huge amount of metal detecting modern money to get rid of though and a couple hundred old pound coins.. They will be going in the same machine haha
Should would of been richer if you put it in a savings account with interest that exceeds inflation.

Haha, yeah I have now realised just how silly that sounded. Its because at the time, I felt like I had a load of coins that I would never ever spend. But then when they appeared in my bank account, it felt like I had made that money :)
8,kilo is about, 1'stone 4lb in imperial.

They sure do, and its completely free. I use it for paying in my metal detecting coins - which are all brown and crusty 🤣

Haha, it was a very big bottle to be hair!! OK so I exaggerated with the weight and amount. 8kg is a lot of coins, think there was over 1,600 coins there

Hi there, you are totally right, and it does make me sound stupid. But at the time cuz these coins had been in this bottle for like 6 or 7 years, felt like they were worthless. Then when I saw them go straight into my bank account, it just felt like I had just made 138 quid

Haha that's because we are poor slaves living in a country that basically takes all our money one way or other!! But, I do save all the new pound coins that I find with a metal detector, and I reckon I have a couple hundred. I have a couple hundred of old pounds too that I really need to take to the bank!! Haha you aren't far off there, in this day n ages, £134 gets us very little in a world that seems to constantly cost more and more to be a part of. Having said that, my monthly phone bill is £48 a month, so that's 2 and a half months worth. Thanks for watching
