My late father in law always threw pocket change in 5 gallon water cooler bottles. He started doing that in the early 60s. He filled up two, emptied them, rolled up the change (they didn't have coin counters at the time) cashed them out at the bank. He then went to a car dealer and bought a new car
Congratulations on your record. $1,400 in a couple months is pretty damn good. Pretty amazing over 5,000 quarters. I bet this really helps out the balance sheet.

I have a tire air pressure machine only takes quarters draws $6500 every week I service it everyday and keep it clean two other machines draw over $5000 each a week easy money
I never seen a bank in California have one of these. Coin star robs me. I’m a cash is king type of guy. Old school. I have plastic yes. Card is cool and nice. But always having cash in pocket feels different to me.
I keep a old Tide Pods Container over the washing machine, all washed change and all pockets i check i put in it. Every few months 3/4 times a year i visit the coinstar machine and cash it in. Easily $60 to $130+ of just loose change. Lord the change from car console can be several times more than that. Yearly it covers the cost of weeks vacation for me and my family. With this usually unaccounted for money.
It fills up bags inside of the machine, once those bags are full the machine shut down and they have to replace them. I usually try to ask ahead of time if they think there’s enough room in the bags. 👍

Idk about you OP but for me I don't always trust these machines that auto count your coins for you. Lets say that from my experience some of these machines...cut me short and didn't count some of the coins. I understand that there's gonna be a "fee" but to "cut me short by $38" is way too fishy.

Too bad US banks don't do that anymore. You can't even put your loose change into your savings account. Poor people relied on that for a hundred years. One of the few services that bank's offered is gone. Now they tell you to go to Walmart, where they take a cut. America has changed people.

@@toplinethriftfind he hit me back up about a month or so after I told him get a safe and body camera to keep your hands free at all times and have your area you working in recond at all times people try to robbery them well they got a few snacks and soda but no money and because both of the guys hands was free they was able to fight off some of the people and because they had body cameras on they caught the people that got away with the snacks and soda remember it's always best to be safe then sorry times is hard now of days

Another video says the weight is different from clad coins and the silver are rejected for you to take from the reject tray.

Luckily this is a no fee machine at my local bank!
I use my change at self checkout places to avoid accumulating too much change that gets no interest and loses value from inflation
